Fewer pros and more problems

"Fewer pros are showing up in the results and some of those are outsourcing the job giving my personal info to their unlicensed buddies who then contact me. In one case, I tried to cancel an appointment with a Home Advisor housekeeper who insisted she still needed to recoup the $35 Home Advisor fee that she paid for the referral. I notified HA customer service about the extortion and they said she could request a refund from her rep. After 5 years of using Home Advisor for small projects around the house, I will now rely on Google reviews instead and am already finding more contractors to choose from than HA's short list of 2 or 3 pros."

"I will not be useing HomeAdvisor I had to pay one of your quote unquote pros basically to leave my house and stop bothering me he quoted the job to finishDemolition and cleanup job site he cleaned part of job site and didn’t touch any demo I was at one point told by his employ he needed money that day I did not Fulfill his demand but was then constantly called while I was sleeping in the morning I had informed them in the beginning that I worked second shift and did not get up till 1030 11 o’clock in the a.m. prior to them starting the job So I basically paid them the remainder of the money for the job to leave me alone"
