"We have used Home Advisor numerous times over the past years, and frankly, the results have been mediocre. This last took the cake however. I'll just bullet point it:
1. My wife, fearing for my nearly 60 year old neck, called for a gutter cleaning service.
2. She hired the service (in Denver).
3. They didn't show up when the committed to do the work. BTW, they didn't call, nor email.
4. A week later, having hired an alternative, they showed. The same day, and same time as their replacement. With no notice.
5. The owner, incensed with my wife for "wasting his time", proceeded to refer to here as a bi#!h. Not only that, he did it in a text.
6. When she reviewed him on the Home Advisor site, they blocked the review, stating that some of the comments weren't pertinent to "the work done". What work? He didn't show.. And being castigated for the contractors shortcomings (punctuality, keeping appointments, a modicum of respect)??? Is that not pertinent.
So this fellow enjoys great reviews, and Home Advisor sensors the bad ones. Great way to do business Home Advisor!!! We'll be telling this story for years! And why? Because it is 100% truthful,,, But you all aren't very interested in the truth then, are you?"
