HomeAdvisor connected me with a very competent, conscientious contractor who got the problem resolved quickly and at what I thought was a reasonable price. They also pointed out some longer term issues that my son can take care of in the future without any arm twisting to fix them “now”. "One of the contractors scheduled for an appointment called to let me know he was heading my way & that there would be a “service charge” for coming to do my quote. I told him I don’t pay people until I decide to hire them. We cancelled the appointment. Nowhere on the contractor’s page indicate this service charge nor was it mentioned when they called me to schedule the appointment last night. When I went back & re-read their reviews I found several comments relevant to their business practices although their installations were reported to be good. Needless to say I will not be using them."
