"We went to Home Advisor to find a contractor for roofing repairs that needed completion in order to sell our home. We put out a request and were immediately contacted by a local contractor who visited our home and provided an estimate. He had three good reviews on home Advisor so we thought he would be a reputable contractor. Unfortunately, he has made off with $700 of our monies and it appears that he is no longer listed on Home Advisor.

We have been waiting for a resolution From Home Advisor and it has not happened. At this point we are out $700, do not have our repairs completed which will impact the sale of our home.

Home Advisor apparently does not review their contractors as after more research we found this contractor to have similar complaints with the BBB and he has a C rating.

After this miserable experience I would not recommend the use of Home Advisor as they are not looking out for their consumers."
