"I purchased a kitchen faucet and soap dispenser for approximately 1/2 the cost it was selling for at a local retailer. I was advised by a homeannex salesperson that it would not be in production for a few weeks that it was backordered . He was polite and did a fine job of offering me several other options but I really wanted this particular item, so he ordered it for me. I received one part of the order earlier than expected and was given polite and very thorough guidance when I called about the other half of the order; I was told that it was still outstanding, but that they would email me with a tracking number as soon as it was available for shipping. Within a couple of weeks, the email came and the remainder of the order was sent. It arrived well packaged, and was a 48 hour turnaround from the time it was received in their warehouse until the time it reached me. I have been redoing my house for the past several years, and only recently became aware of the tremendous offerings and savings from homeannex.com. I wish I had known about them sooner but will continue to do business with them for all future remodel needs."
"Terrible customer service that is obviously trained to avoid giving customer refunds at all cost. Filed compalints to Better Busines Bureau and Home Annex would never return any of BBB's calls. This speaks to the integrity of this company. "
"We remodel 3 bathrooms, so I’ve purchased 17 items from homeannex.com (bath fixtures, lights), totaling more then $1300. In our local store it would cost me more then $2000. After reading the store reviews I was prepared for a long battle – wrong items send, long wait time, bad customer service. I was WRONG. I’ve received 14 items after 7 days, very well packaged, e-mail notifications with tracking numbers. The rest of the order arrived next week. I definitely would buy again from that store. Actually I’ve already placed another order. "
"Do not buy from this company. I ordered some items that were never delivered and then had a terrible time trying to get a refund - yes, they charge your credit card at the time of order. I had to file complaints with my credit card company, the BBB, and my attorney before a refund was issued. Customer service people were rude and unhelpful. In fact, I was hung up on regularly when I called about my credit. This company should be shut down!"
"Waited 7 weeks for item to arrive only to have it be the wrong item (not even close to what I ordered). Dealing with their customer service (if you can call it that) was the worst experience ever. Do not buy from this fraud company!"
"Easy to order, order status up to date. Items arrived neat & well packed."
"Purchased a door handle on the web. The web site said an installation kit was required. Purchased that. Turned out the installation kit had nothing to do with the door handle purchased and was unnecessary. The customer service rep told me it was my fault for not questioning whether the kit was needed or not and was going to charge a 25% restock fee. After 15 minutes shouting with the rep, three times requesting a supervisor, I got a supervisor who waived the restock fee if I paid the return shipping. It'll cost me about $20 for their mistake. Had another item on back order, called on the status. Rep called supplier, then told me that my item won't ship until Home Annex's accounting dept called the supplier's accting dept. In other words, they got cut off because they don't pay their invoices. I cancelled that order."
"This was the second item I purchased from the site. The first was some door hardware which came drop-shipped from its vendor. A good experience. However, looking at the web site, it indicated that the hardware required an installation kit. I placed a second order for the kit. When it arrived, there was no question that the kit had nothing to do with the hardware I ordered. I contacted them by e-mail and they said they'd accept a return of the mounting kit if I at my expense FedExed or UPSed the parts to the vendor, and I'd be charged a 25% restocking fee. UNACCEPTABLE in my book for an error on their website. I then called them. After getting NOWHERE with the front tier support, I was finally referred to a supervisor who said that if I'd placed the order by phone I'd have been directed to the proper information, which again was totally unaccepatble for a firm with an internet storefront. To compound matters, even today, well over a week from my pointing out the website error, their site continues to show erroniously that the door hardware requires the mounting kit. At best the manager person offered to waive the restocking fee if I returned the item AT MY OWN EXPENSE. This would be ok for an item that I'd changed my mind on, but for something where the firm is clearly in the wrong on--and continues to perpetuate their website errors--this is unacceptable. And to get to this concession on their part it took lots of my time and lots of rude customer behavior which should be unnecessary for anyone with reasonable customer service. I will be contesting this charge further with my credit card, but in the meantime I won't ever do business with these people again. Stay away."
"BEWARE of false advertising, fraudulent representations and terrible customer services. Don't believe anything this merchant says. LIES, LIES, AND MORE LIES."
"aweful. my order was super late and i was never informed it would be. it is impossible to talk to a mananger--forget it. never order from them. terrible."
"BEAWARE!!!I wish I read the reviews about this store. TERRIBLE customer service if you can find them. VERY VERY SLOW delivery. NO COMMUNICATION. I would not recommend to any one to buy anything."
" First, I purchased a Myson towel warmer priced at $508 on August 10th. HomeAnnex charged my credit card within 24 hours. Two weeks later, I received an E-mail telling me that the price had increased "unexpectedly" to $618. I accepted the increase begrudgingly as I was in the midst of a remodel and just wanted to get the product before my contractor was left waiting.
Two more weeks went by and I heard nothing from HomeAnnex about the status of my order, so I called. Three days later, I called and left a 2nd voicemail. I sent three E-mails over the next week each one more heightened in frustration. After multiple attempts, I received an E-mail telling me the product was on backorder until late October.
My saga started on August 10th. Today is October 28th. Nothing yet from HomeAnnex about when, or if, my towel warmer will get in. My contractor has now been waiting more than 5 weeks on a "usually ships in 5 days" product.
As a counterpoint, I purchased $10,000 worth of products from Homeclick.com spanning >50 items. Each product was accompanied with estimated delivery dates and any delays were notified in advance. Three products were defective: all of them were replaced before I returned the defective products and the returns were picked up by courier from my house, 3,000 miles from Homeclick's store. The total time for $10,000 worth of plumbing supplies to be shipped, including receiving 3 replacement parts for the defective items, 4 weeks.
If only Homeclick carried the towel warmer I wanted, then I would never have gotten stuck with the customer support nightmare of HomeAnnex.
I am crusading on every review site I can find to warn off consumers from buying anything from HomeAnnex."
"Horrible sums it up. No product, no answer to emails, no answer to phone calls, no refund - nada."
"I have just had a miserable experience shopping here! I would suggest that if you are buying something that may need to be returned that you shop elsewhere. Customer service is the absolute worst. "
"Homeannex had the best prices with free shipping on Baldwin bathroom assessories (much better than could be found in a big box store or other online places).
Ordered on Sunday and got FedEx'd a package containing the entire order by Thursday.
Great promptness and accuracy of the order.
Only complaint I have is that there was no feedback on the order status other than "paid" on the website. Homeannex should provide shipping information such as a FedEx tracking number either on the website or by email."
