"after speaking to a sales clerk at Home Depot
store 1055 west st San Bernardino regarding home delivery of items - advised to 'PUT THE ORDER ONLINE as ship to store" then call and pay for delivery. After ordering - and paying nearly 1800.00 for order and calling was told "NO can't do that will have to cancel order and reorder with store" resulting in 2 charges of 1800.00 to my card and 4 days until refund of first order. Had to call the store 5 times with wait of over 30 minutes per call until finally I called the online help number and they found the order and emailed me. Had no printed order from store and when items arrived was advised only curbside delivery ! Over 150ft from my door with order including a 7ft x 8ft patio door......and a damaged pantry cabinet. The second order of appliances deliver 2 days later a little easier - except for the damaged refrigerator!
and they did give me 50.00 off a 221.00 cabinet damaged in two places. I refused the fridge."

"The item, which my husband and I purchased, was to be a house warming gift for our daughter and her husband.
As of today, the Refrigerator has not been delivered.
My daughter was called and told the Fridge would be delivered between 12pm and 4pm on 15 August. It was NOT delivered.
When she called to inquire about it she was told the order was cancelled and given another number to call. When she called that number - she was told no it wasn't cancelled. The item was on back order would be delivered this Thursday - 20 August but they couldn't be 100% sure since it was on back order.
I contacted Home Depot via their on line chat assistance since the phone numbers I was given didn't answer or I was on hold way too long.
I explained the problem. The CSR checked and verified the order was still good, on back order, but couldn't provide a hard delivery date. The chat got silent and I asked if there was anything else - to which I was told No.
No apologies, sorry for the confusion. I was given a phone number to call, yet again, to get more information on the delivery.
I called that number. The CSR verified the order was valid but couldn't guarantee the date but said more than likely, maybe, be in the warehouse in Tucson on Wednesday and delivered Thursday. I asked a few clarifying questions - specifically to the run around of the orders been cancelled to we can't guarantee delivery date (which I heard at least 4 times from 4 different people). She said she couldn't answer or address what other HD reps had said. She gave me a number for Delivery to call to verify the information she has given me.
I find this CSR, communication, information and logistics support below subpar. In fact, I don't think I will ever shop at Home Depot again and will tell my friends of this experience and recommend they shop elsewhere.
My husband and I wanted to ensure a Refrigerator was available to them upon their move to Tucson. The expense of their first move as a young couple was planned down to the red cent. This foul up - WITH NO PRIOR WARNING, NOR A SIMPLE PHONE CALL TO EXPLAIN THE DELAY - has cost them a lot of money eating out because they are unable to store any food needing freezing or refrigeration.
Your corporations lack in communicating delay is unacceptable and as already stated unnecessarily costly. More so is the lack of concern or empathy. Just another number. No care whatsoever that this seriously inconvenienced a customer.
It is a sad state yet a good example of the lack of concern for customer care.
So to say I am very DISSATISFIED is putting it mildly. I am beyond dissatisfied. There should be a place where you can select NO STAR.
You all should be ashamed.
