"When I initially was interested in these leather chairs, I was "very" concerned about ordering with a Co. I had never heard of, trusting anyone I didn't know, and physically could not see. Also, with such an important and expensive venture, I was definitely questioning if this was the best route to go! But I searched in store's and online.... And then I "fell in love"! I found what I was looking for!
When I was almost sure I wanted the chair's.... I asked an "extremely" important question to Katie.
"Is the leather on the chair's "drum dyed"? ( Meaning, that if drum dyed, the leather, "if scratched", would remain the same color "all" the way through!)
Katie knew how concerned I was, because I have "cats"!....with claws! She told me she talked with someone at the Company where the chair's would be custom made, and that she was told, the leather was "drum dyed".
Not long after owning the chairs, sure enough... "scratches". Was the color of the leather the same where the scratches were...."NO"!!
Someone is lying.... or did not do their homework!!! I am paying the penalty!!
Why haven't I complained you ask??
Since Katie and I, where having good/bad interactions at times, (like I said, buying online is "not" my cup of tea), and I'm not saying Katie was awful to deal with...but there "were" issue's (plural)...throughout this transaction, "to" finish.
All that said, I felt complaining was going to be most likely, a "fruitless" endeavor, and I would end up looking like the "bad guy".
But...truth be told, I now own "2" beautiful, expensive chairs.....that were "NOT" drum dyed.....and therefore are sadly flawed!! (One more than the other) The color dye on the surface.... is just that, "On the surface"!!
Since you are asking... I am responding.
I paid a lot for the chair's, and that was with your discount... For what the actual price was, these chair's should most certainly have been dyed throughout!
Yes, I'm very disappointed... Yes I feel taken advantage of...and "no" I would not shop with you again, nor recommend you to anyone! Thank you for asking, and again since you have, it would be very considerate if I could get another discount.... which I definitely deserve, concerning this flawed leather! Thank you, Stephanie
