"After searching everywhere for my camera's adapter which I recently received as a gift and could not find, I was in a panic and immediately ordered a replacement. I ordered a Sony 1.7 X telephoto lens for my Sony DSC-H9 camera. Soon as I placed the online order, I got a call from IGadget to tell me the Sony lens is in back order and will take 5 weeks waiting. So I opt to take what they offered which is a higher end more expansive Digital Optics 2.2X lens at the same price.

It only took 4 days to get the lens shipped acrossed the country. However, I first found out that in taking several hummingbird pictures this add-on lens gave blur image so I called to ask for return or exchange. I was assured that it can be fully refunded but Mr. Maurice Roberts cautioned me that is a highly rated lens preferred by all his previous customers. He asked me to take time re-test what I did. If I still don't like it he can offer me the full refund anytime.

It was after this friendly discussion, sensed his confidence and a solid reassurance from him that this is a higher rated lens, I found out that I set my tripod at a distance from the object right outside the minimal distance recommended by Sony for telephoto mode of DSC-H9 which is 9 ft, but adding this powerful 2.2X lens, it shifted the minimal distance to 11 ft so my image was blur. Soon as I moved back 2 ft to 11 ft, it works as a telephoto add-on lens supposed to do and gave good pictures.

I just want to point out that disregard what brand or cost of add-on telephoto lens you buy, you don't get as high resolution pictures as the original or a true telephoto lens, just a larger image which probably can be achieved digitally by enlarging your digital pictures without the add-on lens. The thrill is you get to see the enlarged animals in person like using a binocular at the scene. That was the reason I bought it.

For this reason I didn't feel bad to see they convinced me to buy a substitute product at higher power instead of Sony. I could not get the Sony at this price anyway. The cost/performance balance of this lens is acceptable.

"IGadgetNow.com are bait-and-switch experts. They advertise genuine brand name merchandise on the website as in-stock, but after you order they call and tell you it is out of stock. Then they will offer you a "better" brand-x model that they have overpriced. They are careful not to put too much detail on the item so you can't easily compare their price. They offered me a Premium Tech PT-13 battery charger for $50, but when I complained it was overpriced they sold it to me for $28...the same price they advertised for the Sony it replaces. Only after I got it I found I could have bought the same one elsewhere for $14.

So just fair warning...don't fall for an illegal bait-and-switch like I did. Their Paypal ID is "mm gadgets" and they are in New York."
