"I had a very bad experience with IceMonkey and I would not purchase from them ever again. I would also caution others from purchasing from them either. I ordered a Kindle at the end of November. 5 days later I still did not receive a tracking number, despite the promise on their website that I would have one in 1-2 days. After I contacted IceMonkey, I got a response in 2 days with my tracking information. The tracking number seemed legit, but 6 business days later, I was still waiting on my package. Long story short it got "lost" somewhere along the line. After contacting both UPS and USPS and getting nowhere, I contacted IceMonkey and asked them to follow up, as I was instructed by UPS. After 24 business hours and no response, I opened a PayPal dispute. 48 hours later, I escalated the dispute to a claim. Again, 6 days after my follow-up email they finally got back to me and told me they would be unable or unwilling to file a claim with UPS because they used an uninsured shipping method (UPS SurePost).

I was in contact with them a couple more times over the course of the dispute. On two occasions they offered to refund my money, but they said they couldn't refund the money until I closed the PayPal dispute. I'm including this because it would be very easy for a potential buyer to get really screwed by following IceMoney's instructions. I contacted PayPal both times the seller asked me to close the claim and they instructed me NOT to close it until I was satisfied with the outcome. If you close your PayPal claim, the seller can go back and say, "Well, there's no problem. See? They closed the dispute."

Over a month after I placed my order, I was finally refunded the full purchase price thanks to PayPal.

My rating is mainly based on the seller's extreme lack of customer service and the nearly impossible task of contacting them. It's absolutely ridiculous that it would take anyone, let alone a business, 24-48 hours to get back to an email, especially when there is no other way to contact them. In my experience, it was usually much longer than the promise 24-48 hour response time anyway. It's entirely possible that this whole debacle could have been resolved sooner, but it took the seller at times a week to get back to my emails. I learned that hard way to view the "contact us" page of every website from which I intend make a purchase. If the only means of communication are an email address, I run the other way.

"I've made a few purchases through Ice Monkey in the last month or so. All have been great experiences. I will say that one of the products I received did not meet my expectations, however, I let the folks at Ice Monkey know and they accommodated me right away and sent replacement product. Great service! That really is hard to find these days.
I plan to continue using Ice Monkey in the future. How can you beat these deals??

"Ice monkey head exactly what I was looking for , and the price was unbeatable. They had several other items that I had not anticipated buying but which were also available and at excellent prices. It took awhile for me to get the products, but it was OK, as the shipping was free, and they arrived before Christmas. the information on this site could more clearly explain the shipping and confirmation process. I did get very clear responses to my questions when they were sent to the inquiry email address."

Sanity prevails, faith restored in Ice Monkey / Daily Steals!!!
I just received a PayPal notice that $6 was refunded to my account!!!

Now, the total difference was actually $8, but I'm not going to complain about the $2.

I've updated my ratings and happy they had this change of heart. I look forward to buying from them again.

Mostly, I'm happy I can say good things about their good actions in this review.

Ice Money and Daily Steals are owned by the same company (as explained below).

As explained below, I purchased four iPad charger accessories from Ice Monkey for $10 per set.

Less than two weeks later, Daily Steals had the same set for $8 per set.

I asked to be refunded the difference. The comment I got was:

"As much as I would like to assist you with this matter, we cannot price match the item because IceMonkey and DailySteals are two different websites with different policies.
DailySteals is a deal-a-day website, so the $8 sale for the iPhone cables are only available for that one day."

In the eyes of this consumer, that is pretty LAME. They are the SAME COMPANY, held by the SAME PERSON.

So... buyer beware. Of the past two transactions, the Daily Steals / Ice Money "collective" is now batting a slimy ZERO.

I've ordered a bit from Daily Steals, the parent of Ice Monkey. The transactions from Daily Steals have been mixed, with some taking a really long time to come. In the last order with Daily Steals, the order didn't come at all... but, fortunately, they didn't charge my Paypal account.

Because of the problems I recently had with Daily Steals, I communicated with Ice Monkey from the beginning of my order. The communications were quick and complete (including tracking information). The product came in a timely manner and worked. All in all, I would order from Ice Monkey again... and may order from Daily Steals again, too.

"I ordered an iPad and then came across some very negative reviews which made me nervous. I ordered it in black bc the website said that was the only color left. They emailed me quickly and said that they actually only had white, which is what I wanted anyway. They said they would ship it 3 day ups, I never received a tracking number but it arrived on Wednesday and I had ordered it the previous Saturday, so the shipping was fast! My only complaint is that the logo on the back seems to have fallen off, but that's a minor thing to me because I paid $300 less than if I had purchased from apple. I'm very glad this all worked out but they do seem a little sketchy (no phone number or address listed) . No original apple box, just bubble wrapped and w a wall charger. Also, my husband had to install the operating system. But overall I am very happy with it. "

"Have ordered multiple times from Ice Monkey, but I am particularly pleased with the Skull Candy earphones I ordered. The quality of the product far out-weighed the price paid.

I'd seen these in Target before, but felt they were "too youth-oriented" for a 51-year-old. But,I find that quality products cannot be claimed by just one age demographic.

This was a topic I discussed with the seniors I teach in high school. They feel that "if they're good, buy them". Skull Candy has a good reputation with the kids I deal with. because of the cost to quality ratio.

"WARNING, ordered a xoom tablet refurbished on 12/8/2012 got a email saying my order was processing, cc charged all the same day. Well it's 12/19/2012 No shipment of my product, no response to my emails, no call back from customer support. It looks like chargeback time on my CC what a way to spoil my kids Christmas. Looks like I will have to order someplace else and get delivery AFTER Christmas, I am VERY sad. Now do you gotta say why no phone number or general contact number on their website? MY ORDER SEEMS TYPICAL OF THEM after reading many other stories."

"I stumbled across this site. I could not resist ordering the refurbished iPad. I was very worried because it was a lot of money and website was one I had never shopped from. "I ordered almost $200 worth of items November 28th and have sent three emails over the past two weeks and have yet to receive any response. I would recommend to others to avoid them like the plague until they get their act together. On a good note there sister company dailysteals has been sending out my items that I ordered the same day. "Pro: I am a HUGE fan of their site. I learned of them via CNet's Cheapskate column. Their deals are hard to beat, and they consistently offer new merchandise that interests me. Logging into their site has become a daily part of my morning ritual. Their response to email inquiries is quite fast, compared to *other* sites.

Con: Their delivery of items isn't as rapid as some other sites, but perhaps that's more a reflection of the "instant gratification" society we as consumers have become. Even if I don't get the items as quickly as I'd like, I do always get them. And if there's any problem with delivery (e.g., they've run out of stock), they let you know immediately and credit your account.

Yes, they did ask me to write this review, but that was just a matter of convenience. I had been looking for a place TO leave a comment about them, and it was in response to some very positive emails I had sent *them* them about their firm.

"I will never buy anything from these crooks again! They mis-advertise merchandise and then when you try to contact them to return it they won't respond. I emailed 3 times for a RMA # and no response and there is no phone number to contact. Buyers beware!"

"Just like its sister company DS - I have not rec'd any word on my order with them. I am beyond the 4 days as stated in their shipping page. No answer to email, no update - does not even give a status to order. They took my money right away! As of now AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM! Prices look great but if you never get what u ordered no deal at all! Could be a SCAM!?!? Will be contacting my cc company to dispute charges!!"
