I had previously purchased an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro from a brick-and-mortar Best Buy, but the card, a 1.1 revision, didn't perform in my P4S8X 8x AGP motherboard. Cost was $419 after tax. My total from JNCS, even with shipping, came in over $20 cheaper! I've managed tech support call centers for the past four and a half years and I wish I had a staff full of people like Jem - knowledgeable, tech savvy, friendly and truly commited to quality customer service."

"Overall J and N completed my order very quickly. I called on the 18th of Nov. and ordered one of their MB bundles,a power supply and video card. They shipped on Tues night and I received the shipment on Thursday. Everything was packed very well. Installed and everything worked.

"I decided to go with JNCS for my computer system. The salesman was the main reasonwhy I went with them. Very knowledgeable and answered my questions completely. Delivery was a day earlier than expected.

Package came with everything promised materials wise and manuals etc boxs.

I did notice they substituted a NIC card with another brand. Not really a big deal but being informed of this change would have been nice. Upon setting up my system I promptly start having issues with my broadband connection. After dealing with tech support,re-installing drivers and windows xp we came to the same problem. Their recommendation was to contact my ISP next.

I ended up swapping out my NIC card with one of my own and that solved the problem. The next day I went to copy some files to my A drive. The A drive would not recognize any disks I put in. After talking with tech support again the conclusion was to check and see if everything was connected.

Their was no power hookup to the floppy drive. It never was since the wires were bundled up and not enough slack was their to even reach the drive.

Overall Im satisfied with what I bought. The object though by paying them money to build it was so I wouldnt have to do these things. Having to go in and fix parts is not my idea of buying a complete and tested system."

"J and N Computer Services is local to where I live and I have been doing business with them for several years. You really only find out the true character of a company when you have a problem. I recently purchased a motherboard and memory for a system from J and N and after assembling it was having problems with stability. I returned with the components suspecting that the motherboard might be bad. J and N took the components and told me to return later that afternoon. When I arrived back, they had my system running on the counter. The problem appeared to be an inadequate or incorrectly mounted CPU heat sink. J and N expended considerable time determining the problem and had the system running so that I could see that it was completely functional. I did purchase an upgraded CPU cooler which I had them install. They only charged me for the new heat sink and fan. They even called me a day later to make sure that everything was functioning correctly. One recommendation that I have is to purchase a bundled system whenever possible. J and N stands behind what they sell and went beyond the call of duty. Two thumbs up!!"

One month after buying the MSI K7T Turbo motherboard (at Jerry Recommendation) he told me many of those that he sold had been returned defective. I was told that I could get an 'upgrade' to an Asus board for $25. My MSI was fine at the time so I made no changes. Three months later I had problems with my MSI board. I offered J&N a chance to look at the system before replacing the motherboard. They wanted $25 an hour to check the motherboard, so I passed on that. I requested the upgrade he offered me, and he didnt remember that conversation. He didnt have another MSI board to replace it with, and offered no alternatives beside 'you are out of luck pal'. (I was still under manufacturers 1 year warranty) After repeated arm twisting I eventually got the 'upgrade' to the Asus board.
I was a J&N Customer for 4 years before this incident, spent a couple thousand dollars at their establishment and this was the first time I needed a warranty replacement.
Anyone (including myself) shouldnt have to argue and cause a scene to get a defective item replaced under warranty. For this reason I still say..... STAY AWAY."

"I bought an ASUS A7V333 w/XP 2200 and a MSI 4200 (64m) from these guys. A couple of things to note - the salesman gave me advice that saved me money by actually LISTENING.
