"I called Josh's Frogs to ask about ordering hundreds of items. I needed everything for my new business! I mean, everything! Containers, insects, supplements, and more frogs of different varieties. When I called, I got voicemail. I gladly left a message explaining my situation. Two days later, I was on the phone with my daughter's school. I saw that it was somebody from Josh's Frogs, so I reluctantly asked the counselor if I could just quickly answer it because it was important and that I'd be right back. Yes, Josh's Frogs was important! I kindly asked the employee if he could just hold for a few seconds, or if he could call back in 15 minutes. He was so put off by my request that I was inconveniencing him so much that he told me the phones lines won't be available. It wasn't near closing time. I waited two days for them to call me back! And I inconvenienced them? I have since found so many other companies that sell what I need. I actually just spent $630 to get my business started and just got another $1000 to continue purchasing what I need to get started. They didn't get my money. I couldn't bear to waste any more of their time."
"This was my first purchase from Josh's frogs and I cannot complain. I ordered a bottle of Repashy on Thursday 4/20/17 and it was at my door on Saturday 4/22/17. Seems as though the processing is very efficient. Shipping was free and it was the lowest price I could find anywhere. "I ordered live horned worms and a container of fruit flies from Josh's Frogs. When they arrived I opened the box to find fruit fly media and maggots all over the inside of the box. First thing I did was check the container but it was taped shut and wasn't leaking. There were no flies in the container but it was filled with dead maggots and what looked like soup for media(food). Then I checked the horned worms hoping that they would at least be ok. These things were about half an inch long and 80% were all shriveled up, leaving me about 6 of them. I immediately took pictures and emailed them back telling them what had showed up at my door.
A few days later Shelby messaged me back asking for pictures of the products so I sent her everything I took. Never heard back so about a week later I emailed her again... Still nothing and its been a month.
Horrible service and now I have spent 50 bucks on dead bugs. Never again will I order from Josh's Frogs, there are too many other places that care about their customers and the products they sell. I should have knows from the reviews, guess thats my fault. "
"I recently submitted a very large order and had some questions regarding it (mostly due to having a 10% off code for subscribing to their newsletter). After several days I didn't hear back about my question or even an update on my order. I finally sent a second message to their Facebook page (where I was being very nice) and several days later was told that they didn't have any discount codes when I had tried to order... Even though there is a huge box that pops up on the website offering a discount for subscribing. I will not be ordering from Josh's frogs again, and after reading the other reviews I'm glad I didn't purchase a live animal from them."
"My order just arrived today (in Boston) after buying them through Amazon.com only to find that the mealworms I bought advertised as 'live' where anything but. I ordered a 50 count of meal worms and upon opening the cup they where contained in found not a single one alive, all of them black and in that crescent moon death pose. I emailed to politely inform the company of this with a picture included requesting a new shipment of mealworms be sent to resolve the issue and to not muddle with refunds. I await a reply and will post the result here.
I will add though that the package did arrive when it was said to, and that the wax worms I also ordered arrived in good condition. (A few dead, but to be expected).
I wish I'd read a few reviews before ordering, how they respond will determine weather I buy from them again or report them to Amazon."
"I have ordered more than 1,000 worth of frogs and products over the past few months. This order was appaling. I ordered juvenile orange terribilis frogs. When they arrived they were the size of my pinkie thumbnail and I have small hands. This is after I called several times to assure they were 1/2" or more and could eat fruitflies. These guys are barely, barely 3/8". When I called they were all defensive. They told me I had to show the frogs next to a ruler. I explained my frogs are in a 20 gallon long heavily planted tank. and the frogs were hiding. They told me to rip apart my vivarium to find the frogs, place them in a cup next to the ruler. Seriously? And, it was up Zach to decide if they were "big enough." Meaning they will do nothing. Beware! I will never ever buy frogs from them again. They should spend less money on advertising and more on the animals. This disgusts me. Funny enougfh I have several more vivs ready for frogs. I will get them from dendroboards marketplace or one of josh's competitors. ` Ticked off in PA"
"Ordered $200 of products. When the package arrived it looked as if they had emptied their recycle bin as a way to protect the products. Instead of using packing peanuts or tissue paper the box was full of order invoices which contained people's names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mails. Not just one or two but around 15 order invoices. Also among the box was used rubber gloves which I thought was disgusting. Multiple items were missing from my order and the crickets were half the size as the ones I ordered. Do not purchase from this company. "

"I'd give 0 stars, if I could. I ordered 1000 crickets. EVERY SINGLE ONE arrived dead. Even the postman said it was odd that they were in a completely sealed-off container, as other companies provide air-flow. Since I was on vacation without wifi, I couldn't contact them until a week later. When I did, they said that I had to contact them immediately for their "live arrival guarantee". So that's $40 of dead crickets. Fluker's arrived with beetles, but at least they arrived alive. "
"will never buy from them again they took my order then preceded to tell me that it would be $15 extra to ship on a Friday or Saturday. for one that should be made know up front before ordering. I work full time and go to college also all I have is Friday and Saturday would not work with me on it at all told them to keep it I'll order my frogs else where form now on... and besides that they sent me a soupy fruit fly culture and said they'd replace it and never did, so much for their guarantee. $50 for a terribillis should be a "sale""
"Worst experience ever! This place is after your money! I bought one of their products and it was very expensive. I didn't receive the product until a month after ordering. Then when I wanted to return it they refused my refund even though on their website it says " don't like the product? Simply return it with a FULL refund"! I will never spend any of my money here again."

"Joshsfrogs is an excellent vendor, item was in stock, I had a couple questions I sent via e-mail, this vendor answered them quickly.
It was also nice that this merchant had the lowest price for the T5HO bulbs I needed.(I was price matching using Froogle, is how I stumbled upon Joshsfrogs.com)
I then received the items via UPS a couple days later. His packaging was superb, this 4 pack of fragile bulbs come from the manufacturer in a round hard shell tube, I've ordered these from other vendors and usually they just stick a shipping label on the hard tube, Joshsfrogs took the time to bubble wrap the item, then placed them in a second box for added protection, UPS did in fact damage the outer box, it was crushed pretty good, but all 4 T5 tubes made it to me safely due to the extra level of packaging this vendor provided.
Plus, The shipping rates were low.
I'll be returning to Joshsfrogs as this is just a really excellent small 'mom and pop' type of merchant, when I can, I try to give my business to the smaller, more customer orientated vendors, this vendor is most definitely in that category.
Very satisfied and then some!
