"Shocking. Deceptive. Fraudulent.

Paid for our order $64.43 + USA - Canada bank charges $1.93 on 8 March 2013, and I've still not yet received the goods. They are almost impossible to contact: we've had 1 email which said the goods were sent 6 weeks ago, so I asked for a Tracking number, and proof of delivery: the goods were never received. They failed to reply to that request for proof of delivery. The fact is, the goods were never delivered.

If you try to call them, it's a Voicemail only, and they do not reply to messages left.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY $, DO NOT BUY FROM KitchenNiche.

Until - if ever, now 2 months on - we get our ordered goods, or $ money refunded, we regard Kitchen Niche as FRAUDSTERS.

"I am writing to inform future customers of the most POSITIVE and PROFESSIONAL service I had when ordering from Kitchen Niche. I placed an order on Tuesday, December 4th for a Pierogi Maker. That very afternoon I received a confirmation email stating that my order was processed and SHIPPED. What a surprise when I received my package in perfect condition on Saturday, Dec. 8th. I have never received such prompt service from any company that I have ordered from. I would order something again from them without any hesitation. Great job!!!"

"We placed an order with KitchenNiche mid September and finally rec'd our order in November. The company did communicate eventually after several calls and many emails initially without a response. When they finally responded the communication was good. The products were as good and cheaper than most places on the web which is why we ordered in the first place. The only complaint I have is the lack of communication when I placed the order which if course triggered fear. They made up for the poor communication with a discount on our order. "

"I had a similar experience to many reviewers. I thought I would take a chance with kitchenniche.

My credit card was charged right away but when I didn't receive shipping notification after ten days, I emailed the company to see what was wrong. I emailed again, and again, and called. The answering machine at the 1-800 number stated that they were moving, and the local number in British Columbia was disconnected. After no response to any of my emails for several days, I contacted VISA to start a dispute about the charges.

I emailed kitchenniche to tell them about the dispute, and within hours, they emailed me to tell me that it would be shipped in a few days. I emailed back to tell them to let me know when it was shipped. It finally arrived more than a week later. It took almost a month to get here.

In short, do not use kitchenniche. The hassle was not worth the five to ten dollars I saved on the sale.

"Unless you are hoping for a nostalgic review of Internet subterfuge or underhanded dealing I would avoid this lot at all cost.

After three attempts to cancel the order, ignored emails, an unanswered call (during business hours) and what was obviously 'incorrect' information in replies over the better part of a month I started to doubt their integrity. They have been unable to fill an order, placed because it was in stock, and now, weeks later, they are showing it is going for packing and shipping. Of course it is... and coincidentally immediately after another cancellation request yesterday on another past deadline.(Update - They finally agreed to cancel the order but the full charge remains on Visa. Oh, they seem a crafty lot - surely this can't all be incompetence - and unbelievable time wasters. Visa will fix it but I will waste time working around Kitchen Niche rather than with them.) I am glad I tested them with a small item rather than getting in a squabble over something substantial.

With so many good, honest kitchen supply companies available I will be avoiding this one and recommend the same for others.

"I ordered 2 items from Kitchenniche.ca and paid for express shipping (3-6 days shipping). I called the toll free line several times and no one answers (get the usual we are busy), but after I leave a message I get an email saying that tried to call but could not get through. They apologize saying that they have contacted Canada Post and that they will reship but the item is now back ordered. This is the same story as most of the posts I had read so I emailed them asking to cancel the order and refund my purchase. After not hearing back from them for three days I contacted MasterCard and dispute the charge. I am hoping MasterCard can resolve this for me. Stay Away, not worth the head ache of dealing with them."

"I wish I had read the reviews before ordering my spice rack! Since I've only made the order 3 days ago I'll be able to give my full review if and when I receive the product. For now I'll give them two stars out of five simply because their website was easy. I've received no confirmation of shipping, no one answers their phone to confirm or responds to emails, true to what others have said. The order says 8-10 days for shipping, so I'll have to sit in limbo until them wondering if I'll get the product. To this point I've not had such poor customer service, an I would be very concerned if someone was to have problems with a product and they needed service. I'll let you know how things proceed and if I'm going to hav to get into a Paypal dispute myself!

Part 2
I received my order and I'm happy with the product I received. Allthough there is never an answer to a phone call, after a number of efforts I finally did receive email confirmation that the product was being shipped, with a slight delay due to back order.
They have a good internet site and the prices, when comparing to the same product elsewhere, are competetive.
It is unnerving that there is no confirmation of shipment or tracking numbers provided, and as mentioned, I only received feedback after hounding them.
It would go a long way for customer service and to instill confidence in Kitchenniche if they were to provide tracking numbers and better communication. In this day and age with internet theft and fraud so rampant it's a must for a company who wants repeat customers.
At the end of the day, I received my product that I'm happy with, I wasn't ripped off...and that's what matters.

"Worst retail on-line experience I've had. Do not buy from these people. Ordered an 89$ + tax = 112$ Le Creuset teapot Nov 30/11. It arrived just before Christmas, defective. I could not use it as the gift it was intended for and had to purchase something else. As per the website guidelines, I contacted the company within 7 day for instructions to return the item for refund. They do not answer the phone and rarely reply to email. They finally told me I have to deal with the manufacturer to get a replacement. I informed them I don't want a replacement, I want a refund. As I had to buy another gift, this teapot was of no use to me. Looks like I'm stuck trying to sort something out with the manufacturer, to get a replacement for something I don't want. Horrible experience with these people. Beware. I'm filing a complaint with BBB."

"At first I was wary of placing an order on this site based on some of the negative reviews I had read.

However, Sandra at Kitchen Niche was quick to answer my questions and provide me with timely information about my order (at my request via email).

The item I ordered was back ordered even though it was listed as in stock. Kitchen Niche informed me of the delay and shipped the parcel Xpresspost at no extra charge to me. In the end, I received the package within the promissed delivery time for free shipping.

Overall, I am pleased with the service I received.

"Ordered a fondue sete from this store along with some fondue fuel. The parcel arrived well packed 4 days after I placed my order. Received free shipping and their price was lower than on other sites I found them. Will be doing some Christmas shopping with them."
