"Do not place any order with Kohl's this season if you want to receive it in a timely fashion. I placed an order on Dec 4th. Two items arrived within a week. The following week they sent an email to indicate one item had been removed. I called last Saturday to ask when I would receive the other 6 items. I was told they would be FedEx'd to me and arrive today (Dec 17th). They did not arrive; no email indicating they had even been shipped. I called and waited 45 min on hold after 10 pm EDT and then a kohl's staffer picked up and hung up on me. I was at Kohl's 5 days ago and could have purchased all 6 items but didn't because I had already ordered them. If they can't get a Dec 4th order to me by now, no way will they get your order to you by Xmas. Go to Amazon or Target, they get their orders in the mail in a day."

"I thought I would save some time and do some pre Back Friday online shopping on Thanksgiving. I ordered 5 items and was only shipped 2 items. When I checked the status my order showed complete. When I called customer service on 12/12 I was told that by the time my order reached the warehouse they were out of stock for 3 of my items. I was at Kohls on Black Friday and could have purchased the items when I was at the store. I was also charged sales tax on all 5 items. I did call customer service who said I would be reimbursed the sales tax but will take up to 30 days for the refund to show on my credit card. I was also told I could drive to the local Kohls and ask them to honor the pricing if they have the items in stock. I am not happy!"

"After shopping online at Kohl's for Christmas presents for my Grand babies and waiting 13 days to receive the package. It took them 7 days to even process the order. I got the package this morning. I opened it only to find Kohl's shipped me someone else's order. The shipping label was to me, but the invoice inside was for some lady in Michigan. I called Kohl's customer service and spent 1 hour 4 minutes and 56 seconds on the phone with them. First they wanted to resend the items at the same snail pace they sent the first package, assuring me it would be here by Christmas. I went off on the guy and explained to him that part of the package had to be at my home, wrapped and sent to another state for Grand children that would be traveling to their other grandparents home across the country. I could NOT wait until Christmas to get that package. So they agreed to send the package Priority Mail. However, the outfit I got for one of the Grand Son's was no longer available. Okay, I can go get him something else I guess. So Kohl's refunded my original order (I hope at least) and reordered the items, but I am not sure that I got the same prices that I had originally ordered the items at during the Black Friday sale. The cost of the new order was close to the cost of the old order, but without the one outfit included. So frustrating. Then I got a 'modified order' email. They not only dropped the one outfit out of the order, they changed the baby's overall's from Pink to Red and change a Hoodie from Medium to Large. So I made a 3rd phone call to cancel the order. They tried to tell me I could not cancel the order.Fur flew and the order finally got canceled. Why does a person have to get so angry before these people respond? I asked 3 times to speak to the manager before they got the job done, but the order is cancelled. At McDonald's, if they mess up your burger, they fix it and then give you a free order of fries to make up for the hassle. Kohl's offered nothing but bull crap. Obviously, the lady who's order I did get is having a major issue also. I will never shop Kohl's again."

"Sent an e-mail to Kohl's customer service. I got a response back saying they would contact me within 3 days. 6 days later I had still not gotten a reply. I sent a second e-mail saying "what happened to my 3 day reply?" Of course, still nothing from them. Called their customer service number also, but got sick of waiting on hold. All I want is a replacement shipment for a small item that arrived damaged, which I had bought to put in a St. Nick's stocking. Well, now I'm hoping for it to be a Christmas present, but I doubt it. I can't take it to a store for an exchange in Wisconsin because they do not have this item at our area Kohl's stores. It's a specific item related to an East Coast baseball team. And I actually paid about as much in shipping as I did for the item. Not worth my time shipping it back and getting a new one. They could have put it in an envelope and put 2 or 3 stamps on it and it would have gotten here. Terrible customer service and no goodwill for their customers. "

"Horrible service. It's been 2+ weeks - most items from order still not shipped.
Agents on the phone lie that it was shipped, yet next day I get email saying it's delayed.
This was list order I placed on their website. I'm not sure it's possible to get any worse...

"I knew I should have stuck with Amazon, even though I didn't find what I was looking for.

I am in the process of selling my house and as a result am in need of curtains, rods, bath accessories ect. I purchased a set of curtains in store and they turned out fine, was issued $10 in Kohl's cash in return. A few days later, I purchased another set of curtains online and paid for them using a credit card, but also not applying any promotions.

Yesterday, I returned the curtains. They appear as a white/gray curtain through the website, however when they were delivered, they were a gold/cream color, entirely different from what was depicted through the website.

After returning the curtains at my local store, I look at my receipt only to find out they shorted me $10 stating that I used Kohls cash for the purchase, even though I hadn't. I expressed to them I did not use the Kohls cash, but that mattered little to them, so I walked out of the store short my entire refund.

I got home and called customer service only to have an extremely rude and uneducated man confirm with me that I didn't use any promotions with my purchase and the store did in fact short me the $10. When I requested to be refunded the difference, he stated that he was not able to do that and would have to forward my case to someone else where they could process the refund. I was told I would receive a call back yesterday, I got nothing.

I gave them an opportunity and they failed miserably. Not only will I never shop there again, I will tell everyone the nightmare it is in dealing with Kohl's.

If their quarterly earnings are any indication, then the rest of Kohl's customer base know's all to well what a nightmare it is to shop there. They were down nearly 20% in earnings last quarter. With experiences like the one I've had, it's not hard to understand why.

"I will never buy from Kohl's again. I recently purchased a pair of boots. I paid a around $58.00. I emailed to ask how I go about collecting my $10.00 off 50.00 as promised. They emailed me back and said "We checked into it and you actually have $20.00 in reward money, just check your email in a few days".
I emailed them back a week or so later when I got nothing and this is what I was told:Orders placed within this timeframe are eligible to earn $10 Kohl's Cash for every $50 spent based on the subtotal after any discounts. Really? They are liars and the discount is a scam.

"Is there is O rating here because that is what Kohls.com deserves. Terrible customer service. Read the whole post and you will understand the 0 rating and learn from my experience. This is a real story and hope people may think twice on ordering at kohls website.
I use a kohls gift card and a visa debit card for 2 pc clothing order for $20.76 I made last October 1. One get through and shipped for the specified time and the other one didn't. I waited for 2 and half weeks for the other order that they labeled as Partially shipped until I called there customer service and they said that the item is out of stock.
Crazy right? why they didn't inform me of the status and they didn't return the money on my gift card. One CSR said that they cannot return it on my gift card for whatever reason they just cant and i don't want it to return on my debit card because hello it is not re-loadable. So they tell me that they will send a store credit via mail that is a 30 min conversation for a simple money back on my gift card issue. Another 2 and a half weeks passed and there is no mail I called again and guess what it is on the way and I waited for another 30 mins just to get that info. Not worth for a $13 refund that I don't know if it will ever come. It maybe not be the case for others but I really feel victimized here if that's the word. I know kohls is a big company and losing me as a customer won't ever matter on their sales but come on kohls be responsible.

"Kohl's clearly doesn't understand how to do business online.

Their customer service is tedious and staffed by people that do nothing but read scripts and try NOT to help you.

I had placed an order early one morning, and realized after I had submitted it that I needed to ADD an item to get free shipping. Shouldn't be a problem within MINUTES OF placing an order, eh?

Well, at Kohl's it is.

GET THIS: To modify an online order, you have to CALL an 800 number WITHIN AN HOUR OF PLACING THE ORDER. ... And more importantly, they DON'T STAFF THE SERVICE LINE 24 hours a day.

So, if you place an order when there's no one to answer your call, or you get a busy signal, you're screwed.

Kohl's is going to ship that order to you, and make you go through all the hassle of shipping it back or driving to their stores. AND YOU DON'T GET YOUR SHIPPING COSTS BACK.

How all that is even legal?

So summary, Kohls.com is a HORRIBLE PLACE TO SHOP ONLINE. Smart people don't shop at merchants who are too stupid to understand the Web.

"Very slow shipping -- my last order arrived 11 days after I placed the order (UPS ground), and according to UPS, my current order is "scheduled" to arrive 9 days after I placed the order. The main problem seems to be that it takes them several days to a week to actually ship the items you order. Probably better to shop in-store, and only use their website for stuff you can't find there. "

"I had a gift card in my wallet from Christmas and decided I wanted some of the Oxo Storage containers. I bought three and then went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to redeem another gift card and get more of the containers. I found that Kohls had really inflated the price -- $17.99 at BBB and $23.99 at Kohls; $15.99 BBB and $21.99 at Kohls. And then they say they are on sale??? Even with the sale, they were a lot more expensive! Needless to say, I returned my original purchase to Kohls the same day. Before I buy anything else (with my now refunded new gift card) I will check the prices elsewhere ."

"Maybe Kohl's increases prices to bring them down. Often the original price is hiked up. I mean, you can buy jeans for $20 or $200 or $2000, so what is the "real" price of an item? It is ultimately up to the store and supply + demand, etc. I recently made an order and everything came as expected. My package arrived about 1 week after I ordered it. I got 2 t-shirts, 2 shorts, 2 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, and a t-shirt, 2 shorts and 2 pj sets for my son, all for $160. Regardless of how they inflate their prices, I would call that a good deal. Last year I ordered a pair of flip-flops in size XL. They arrived in size L. I contacted them and they refunded my money for the shoes, without even asking me to send them back. I would say it's a good store for affordable, casual clothes. When I made my order this time, I was supposed to receive Kohl's cash but I did not. I contacted customer service and someone had Kohl's cash sent to my email immediately. Maybe there are some flaws in their system but they seem to take care of complaints."

"The only worse online experience than Kohl's was Sears. For some reason department stores just don't get how to sell online. Apparently being obnoxious is in their blood.

Kohl's is the only place I've ordered from that sent a blank order confirmation. It showed up as being 41K. Looking at the source code I saw it was trying to load an enormous image from a web page. That was only 1K. I don't know what the rest was. Having e-mail software load a web page is an extreme security risk. You are just asking to get a virus. Then the "it has shipped" e-mail was also blank, and showed up as 29K.

When placing the order I unchecked the box to subscribe to sale alert e-mails. As I write this I have twice been spammed with e-mails trying to entice me to click to start receiving them. Considering that the order was placed just nine days ago I expect to be spammed more times to get me to sign up.

If I wanted sales alerts I wouldn't have unchecked the box when placing the order.
