"Wanted to purchase a couple of BoB’s and started thinking “ where should i look” . It dawned on me Lapg. Never disappointed, bags shipped quickly , top quality, half the price. Great product. "
"My my first time to order from you an I think everything went great. Excellent Price And fast delivery. I'LL be back. thank you ."
"I read other reviews and bought what I wanted based on that. I was not disappointed in any way. Great products and great prices! "
"LA Police Gear pants are the most comfortable and super durable that I have ever owned. They are great for the price and they offer the size that I wear which the greatest when you wear a 36 inseam that’s the greatest. Thanks LA Police Gear you are the greatest "
"Really like the products offered and ease of placing orders. "
"Love these pants they are great"
"Easy to navigate the website, add items to the cart and pay for items. These pants are of high quality with a very affordable price! The last pants I ordered was 7+ years ago and they are still in a wearable condition. I highly recommend LA Police Gear for quality merchandise!"
"I ordered a pair of shoes of this website, they had a sale for Labor Day so I figured I would try them instead of amazon. Yet the later I got an email stating my billing address was wrong, (which could have been possibly since we just moved from La to Nashville so I’m not sure if my boyfriend changed our address with the bank yet). So I email them that information. Then I get anyone email asking for the cvv and expiration date? A bit weird yet I did it. The next day Stephanie emails me to inform me they cancelled the order. I was upset and asked why when I gave them everything they asked for. Well, that was 4 days ago and they still haven’t responded. Such an unprofessional company. Don’t buy from them."
"I ordered some pants and had 2 charges from them. One $90 charge for pants, and one 1¢ charge. The 1¢ charge is a charge they make to ensure your card has money to be stolen. After these charges I had 4 fraudulent charges on my card, I know it was from here because I haven’t used my card at any new place, other than them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I should have known better than to order from California Cops. Beware. "
"I have ordered items in the past, they shipped fast, communicated well and never had any issues. In the last year I have made multiple attempts to purchase items with either no response after online order confirmed or status changed days later to out of stock with no ETA on replacement. Try to resolve issues and end up with canceled orders."
"I've ordered several Blackhawk! and Magpul shirts (short and long sleeve), a Magpul jacket, patrol gloves and a pair of Tactical Research boots. Every order came in an appropriate amount of time (within 2 weeks) - could have been sooner, but I'm willing to wait for the prices I paid (purchased 03/15 and received 03/23). With that - the prices are out of this world and the quality is fantastic! No problems with anything I've bought; everything fits as it should and it's all very high quality. Keep up the good work. I'll be back!"
"Placed an order on February 8th, 2019 (Order 000337491) for three items. It is now March 4th and I received two of my three items. I never received an email with my tracking number. No big deal, I thought I would just email their customer service. I emailed their customer service on February 23rd. February 28th comes and still no response to my email, so I called them and talked to a nice lady who advised me that my remaining order was shipping out the next day, however she couldn't provide me a tracking number, but that she would have it emailed to me the next day. It is now March 4th, no email, except for the spam the flood my inbox with. I've been a customer for years, but the level of service has been in decline the last few years. I guess I won't have to worry about it anymore, I'll take my business elsewhere. Maybe this review will save someone the aggravation. Time to file a claim with my credit card company. "
"LA Police Gear is not retailer I would or will ever recommend. It has taken 12 days to receive a pair of pants I ordered and I have sent 3 separate emails to customer service regarding this order and haven't received a reply back to any of them. Terrible customer service and the slowest shipping I've ever experienced. "
"I am so so so very unsatisfied with LA Police Gear. I’ve ordered three products and not a single item fit right. The pants do not run true to size by any means, nor do the shoes. I normally wear an 8 in women’s shoes so i ordered an 8 and they’re HUGE, so i try to return them and this return process is INSANE, they don’t list ANYWHERE on their website how to return a product so i try to find a customer service phone number BUT THERE ISNT ONE! So i say whatever I’ll just order half a size down.... get that in the mail and they were still so uncomfortable and tight around the ankle but still huge in the toe area. Meanwhile the first pair of pants i ordered wouldn’t even button around my waist and I had ordered my size in almost every clothing brand. (Those pants a month later still haven’t been returned because of they lengthy return process). I now have bought three things from LA of which nothing fits and I’m out about $130 including shipping fees (that i have to pay to return, yes to return you have to paying the shipping back fee). I am just so so irritated with the lack of support LA provides and i suggest no one buys from here. "
"I'm giving LAPG a 2 star rating because of my personal experience, which was 5 star at first (back in 2010), and has become resoundingly 1 star within the last two years. Fortunately for LAPG, I've taken my past satisfaction into account, or this would definitely be a 1 star smackdown.
When I first started sourcing some of my gear through LAPG in 2010, they were fantastic. They had it all... quality gear, decent prices, good promotions, they delivered on service and shipping speed, and always had the products I was ordering on -hand and ready to ship.
Fast forward to 2016, and my guess is that they started to get too big, and therefore complacent. The gear's still top notch, and the promotions are still good; but available on-hand selection has become spotty, and service has gotten pretty loose and sloppy, and for the first time (December, 2016), I had to cancel an order because they couldn't seem to get their act together to fulfill it properly. My thought then: "Everyone has the occasional off day, no real harm, and no foul".
Since then (throughout 2017 and early 2018), I've had to cancel more orders, and have had less than satisfactory contact with LAPG. It seems that once they got to a certain size, they decided that it was acceptable to have more and more of those "off days", and became less dependable because, well... they've gotten big enough to blow off a few customers, perhaps? Now, whenever I go and try to buy clothing or footwear, almost invariably it is "backordered" (to the point where I just expect it, now), and past experience has taught me that trying that route with LAPG is an iffy proposition at best, hence some of the cancelled orders I mentioned above. And it's not just items that may not be expected to sell well (and you may expect them to be carried in low numbers or have to be drop shipped)... it's featured items, the items they are pushing as part of the advertisements they bombard you with. Not cool. And when you submit a valid complaint, you essentially get a form e-mail about how you're a "valued customer" and your satisfaction is important to them. Yes... YES! That and a quarter will get you twenty-five cents.
Here it is, the latter part of 2018, and when I went to access my account to give LAPG yet another chance to dazzle or disappoint I got a notice that in May of 2018 LAPG decided to delete all accounts (active and inactive alike) and in order to have an account one was required to create a new account. One reason that bothered me was that my entire order history was now gone, and I had no way to access it to see my history of purchasing. Then, having created an account which required a new password, I tried to access my account. For whatever reason, I couldn't log in, and to add insult to injury, I get this charming little red message that "you did not log in correctly or your account is temporarily disabled ". That may just have been the irritatant that toppled my desire to continue giving LAPG any further consideration.
I think I'm done, LAPG. I was a "valued customer" for perhaps five, maybe five and a half years. I was apparently more of a nuisance than a valued customer when I noticed this escalating problem but required and expected the same level of service as I'd received in 2010 through 2015.
I hope I'm not the only one to be making the decision to analyze the satisfaction/dissatisfaction ratio and to cancel (or elect not to create a new account) and find another source for quality gear (Amazon Prime is awesome, by the way).
I'm expected to do my job well, every day... or I'd best have a fantastic reason why I haven't. I can't do anything to hold LAPG to my own standard except to discontinue our business relationship, so that is what I'm doing. If anyone else has seen this trend, there's room in the lifeboat... let's all jump this sinking ship together!
As a courtesy, if there are any LAPG representatives that see this... I'd advise that you take a careful look at this message, and do a little checking. If you want to keep afloat, it's best to remember the practices that made you my first choice in your area of retail in 2010. Whatever happened, what you did then is certainly not what you do now. Part of what set you apart as a top choice has gone terribly awry. My best recommendation is just two words: FIX IT.
Remember, the Titanic. The Titanic was big, the Titanic was solid... and the Titanic sank. Look out for icebergs, LAPG.
*Note: I had to provide an order # to get this published. I chose the first time LAPG did a poor job and I had to cancel the order. The reason it's not more current? That's right... LAPG deleted all accounts in May of 2018 along with order histories, and I had to go into e-mail to find a piece of correspondence documenting an instance."
