"Our transfer in was very difficult. Our son had a rough transition to the open classroom and new kids, and acted out. Rather than work with him, the teachers began writing him up on his 2nd day. We did not see any attempts to adjust their methods, and the staff appeared to be very negative towards him on drop-offs and pick-ups. He continued to regress and we ultimately had a conference after he was put on a "behavior plan" and threated to be expelled from the center. We did discuss the issues at length and came away with a better feel for things and called their attention to how he was treated. The write-ups seemed to stop. Things then started to improve when his lead teacher was changed and he began to flourish academically. We have been frustrated at times since then, but things seem to have improved and they now appear to be addressing his behaviors with methods other than "re-directing". "
