"Overall we are happy with the school. I would like more proactive communication from the lead teacher on how my son is doing. It would be nice to see pictures posted as the previous classroom posted daily."

"The failure to secure a constant teacher in the classroom was frustrating and heartbreaking. My son had at least 6 different teachers in one year. The communication was horrible. We were notified of the change maybe twice. I met a new teacher at parent teacher conferences both times. Teacher admitted she did the assessment and barely knew my child and did apologize citing they had been through a lot. Something is wrong here, either work on better working conditions to attract talent or don’t provide the service. The one good thing here is the school district terminated this contract. It was bad enough they failed to maintain a teacher but to just outright stopping communication about the changes felt disrespectful. I was stuck between leaving my child with a new person on multiple occasions or upsetting his life further and leaving his friends to find a new school. Suggestion I made to help enjoy snack time were met with a no. My son didn’t eat or drink once here in a year."

"1. it would be nice to get informed when teachers leave or are added. Also to get a bio on the new teacher as we know nothing about who is watching our child. And we never really know what teacher they will have as there's been a lot of turnover. 2. ipads don't seem necessary for a 3 year old classroom. We aren't paying to have our children on tablets.3. Often times we see teachers holding up a book or ipad that is reading to the children. What happened to the teacher actually reading the book? 4. some teachers look very drained, not engaged with the kids, or worn out. 5. We don't remember the last time we had conferences with our child's teacher. It's definitely been over a year and we thought it was supposed to be every 6 months. 6. Nice to have the app, just not sure how accurate the recordings are.7. It's nice that the kids get outside every day when the weather is nice."

"Overall, we have been very pleased and have enjoyed our experience at La Petite so far. The only thing we wish is that there was more consistency in teachers in our baby's classroom. The two teachers we are most comfortable with/know the best are often pulled into other classrooms to cover."

"I love this school. Our children have learned so much here. My older son knew his ABCs before I even thought to teach him. And this morning my 4 year old son explained correctly how night and day happen. (I had no idea he knew that) My daughter could count to ten before I knew she even started counting and is better at sharing and caring than she had been at home. They are totally on top of learning through every activity they do at school. It's been such a huge help in making sure that all the basic education areas are targeted. If I were on my own I would focus on math and reading and social behavior and completely miss science, arts and physical activity."

"I love my daughter's teacher and can really tell that she truly enjoys her job and cares for the children in her room. The only negative I have about the school os the cost. There are many other facilities similar to La Petite that are less expensive and provide the same curriculum."

Not only are the teachers great, our son is one of the smartest boys you’ll ever meet and is constantly learning new things at school. "Very disappointed with the teacher my child has been placed with. Extremely unprofessional, expresses her fatigued feeling from the children often, doesn't work well with small children, tells us our child if above everyone else therefore she doesn't have the time to help them excel as she is helping the rest of the class, spends 20 minutes discussing personal life instead of discussing our child during parent/teacher conferences. I am very disappointed and unhappy with this teacher. It really puts us and neighbors off for this child care center. Very sad that the Sun Prairie School District sends children there."

"La Petite in Sun Prairie, WI is an absolutely amazing school. The teachers are all so welcoming and kind hearted. They treat all the kids as their own and truly care for their development. The directors are also amazing. It is an amazing feeling to know you're leaving your child with people who will take the most amazing care of them and will teach them important skills as they grow and develop."

"General experience at the school overall has been positive. We enjoy that he seems to be in an environment that fosters learning and development and appreciate the steps they take to change up routine. It would be nice to receive more pictures of his activities during the day on Brightwheel. We know that he's busy while at day care and it'd be nice to see what he's up to! It would also be nice to receive a Brightwheel summary every day, we only get them usually once per week.Earlier morning (before 8am) and late evening (after 4:30pm) staff typically have little to no knowledge about our son, his activities during the day, and his care in general which can make things very frustrating and causes a lapse in communication. Morning drop offs can be a little hard as the staff at this time is not as friendly as his day time caregivers. Sun Prairie location manager has been a bit cold and snippy certain times with both my husband and myself.We love the communication we have with La Petite staff, typically very professional and helpful in communicating concerns and successes with us. When his day time teachers are there, they are great about telling us a short story of something he did and a general feeling for his mood that day. They seem to be excellent at multi-tasking and knowing his needs and wants. Super warm and friendly group!"

"My son is three and has been at this school since he was an infant. He loves school. The teachers have been wonderful and he learns new things everyday. I have recommmended this school to others and have no reservations about leaving my child in their care everyday."
