"The center was clean and safe; the children all seemed to be relatively happy and well-cared for, but we toured at 8am, so the children had either just arrived or weren't even present yet. The teachers were friendly and welcoming, but the director seemed bored with us and seemed to view us as just another customer, rather than a special family to welcome to their family. We are expecting our first child, and I'm not someone who expects everyone to worship my child, but I felt like they didn't really care that we are going through such an exciting and challenging time as we prepare our home and life for our first baby. It just seemed like old news to her. I worked in a center for almost 3 years, so I'm very familiar with center care, director's roles, and teacher's roles. The front desk area was incredibly dark, cluttered, and very un-welcoming. I was shocked that that was what they provided as a first impression. The center where I worked had lots of windows and colorful, natural murals all over the school; everything was beautiful, clean, and energizing. La Petite was just bland and sad. I hope to find a different center in the area for our child."

"We are truly disappointed in this daycare center. We have spoken with the director and assistant director regarding concerns we have for our child in the classroom and things that have been observed. They listen with their notebooks in hand but nothing is followed up on. We receive a cold-shouldered "hi" when we walk into the building while they speak excitedly to other parents and children. We have observed teachers sitting and yelling and scolding kids and very negative behaviors from the kids that go unaddressed. We observe teachers not interacting with the kids--letting the older kids run wild, throw things and wrestle while the teacher sits at the table. We opted to pull our child from this daycare and they were only concerned regarding their payment. Never once were we asked why we were leaving but they did kindly remind us that we would not receive our next year's registration deposit back since we were leaving...and then kindly reminded us to make sure we had all payments in before our last day. We paid our final balance prior to the last day and then they gave us a "late fee" because it wasn't paid 2 days prior to the last day, only 1 day prior. There is no structure provided to the kids. Snacks are usually saltine crackers with yogurt and water. Lunches usually consist of watered down soup that hardly has substance. Overall, we don't recommend this facility with current management."

"La Petite Academy in Sun Prairie, WI has far surpassed my expectations of a school/daycare. The teachers and directors are some of the most genuine people I have ever met. They made the transition back to work after my maternity leave as smooth as I could have imagined it going. They care about each child so much and want the best for them. I cannot express enough my gratitude towards them. I feel so comfortable leaving my little guy there every day. I know he will be well taken care of and his needs will be nurtured while helping him grow and learn."
