When it became apparent that I needed a new battery for my macbook, I decided to do research on alternative sources, rather than buying one at premium price from apple. I was initially relieved to have found a seemingly trustworthy and efficient company in Laptop Battery One. I was soon to be proven wrong.

I placed my initial order on November 23, 2012. I immediately received an email confirming my purchase. However, ten days past without any notice of my order shipping. At this point I contacted the company via their website (which guarantees an answer within 24 hours). Laptop Battery one simply ignored this request. I then received my batter at the end of November (two and a half weeks after placing the order).

When using the battery it was clearly defective. I then sent a second email, explaining my situation. This too, was ignored by Laptop battery one. After two weeks of waiting, I sent a second email with slightly stronger language. This they responded to, with a prepaid shipping label. Thus, I sent my defective battery back.

I then waited for about month. After waiting, and waiting, I finally received a working battery, on January 22, 2013. After nearly two months and frustration dealing with their lack of communication, I finally have what I paid for. I am happy with the product, but I would also say that the time and frustration spent trying to get it was not worth the discount I received."

They fit a 2008 MacBook Pro and a 2001 G3 iBook snugly and aesthetically, and they seem to be offering great battery life so far. The real test is whether they will continue to be functional in 6 months; but even then, I have trust in the 1-year warranty LB1 offers."
