"I was a little skeptical about getting a new battery on line at such a good price. The price for an original HP battery at Staples was 3x the cost. I've installed the battery & am following the instructions to obtain maximum life by running it through 5 - 6 cycles. So far it is performing as expected. I didn't have to do anything except install it. Very pleased."

"I'm an unhappy customer so far. I ordered a battery last Tuesday (it's Friday night a week after). It shipped on Wednesday. I received it on Friday a week ago. I opened the package on Saturday and, before I even installed it I found that the battery was dinged on the edge, that it had a dent. I put it back into the anti-static bag, back in the box, and emailed the company. I explained that I wanted a replacement shipped out before I sent the dented one back -- that they have my credit card already to guarantee the return of the dented battery. It was the weekend. I received an email from Patricia acknowledging my "request for an RMA" on Monday -- at 4:17 pm, 17 minutes after they closed their phone lines for the day! This email requested most of the same information they already had about my computer and asking for a "Definitive Explanation of Battery Issue," which I did thoroughly in my initial email requesting replacement. I wrote back, giving them all of the info again, anyway. At 2 pm on Tuesday I got an email back from Patricia with the RMA number and a shipping label for the return. I called her and she said that once the return tracking number shows the item in transit, they will process the outgoing replacement. So, I got the battery in to the post office before the end of business on Tuesday. They received the battery back at 10 am on Wednesday. No battery shipped to me on Wednesday. No shipment to me on Thursday. This morning I called Patricia again, and she said that she'd send a message to get my battery shipped out -- I wanted it to leave their facility BEFORE the weekend. Patricia said that I would get an email with a tracking number when it shipped. No email today, no tracking number, no shipment. Then, I find this site and discover that for some customers they have sent replacements first and then gotten the returned item back. Not so for me. I paid for my item 10 days ago and if I'm lucky it will only be two weeks before I have a battery and then begin to assess its quality and performance. A zero for customer service. I shopped around first and thought I'd buy locally (SoCal) for many reasons. I expect a call from Treanna.

UPDATE ON 6-16-2012:

The replacement battery arrived today via USPS! Obviously, it shipped out yesterday, and for whatever reason I never received an email confirming the shipment and providing a tracking number. There is an accompanying note to "Please test and fully charge the battery before shipping it out." This battery package had a "Tested and Certified" seal that had to be broken to get to the battery, something the first battery didn't have. So, I have a replacement battery in hand and I will put it into service now and assess its fit and performance. I have updated my ratings to reflect that I have now received the replacement.
