"We ordered ink cartridges from LaserMonks. The cartridges didn't arrive at our office for over thirty days. When they finally arrived they would not work in our printer despite the fact that the model number said it would work with the printer. When we returned the cartridges LaserMonks restrictions said they would not accept returns if they were thiry days beyond the order date. Great....we didn't receive the cartridges until over thiry days. What a rip off. We sent the unusable cartridges back to LaserMonks in March, 2011. It's now June, 2011 and we have received nothing from them-no refund, no letter, no credit!! We will never deal with these crooks again!"
"If you've had good experience with LaserMonks, great. Wish I could say the same. I placed 2 orders: 1 through LaserMonks on 1/19/11 and 1 on same day through one of their other sites, Benevolent Blends. Together, the orders totaled more than $150. It is now 3 months later and I have yet to receive my full order or a full refund despite emailing (9X) and phoning (5X). I've heard back from them only after when I've completed their website contact form but a) they would respond once then drop the communication chain, and b)now their website is down and has been for weeks. Likewise, their phone system is down and has been for weeks so no customer service relief there, either. Tonight, I sent another email to 3 of the addresses I have for them, and 2 of them came back as undeliverable.
Furthermore, their Benevolent Blends website was "closed" (according to them, they switched those products to the LaserMonks site) but they hadn't shut it down and the order capability was still functioning. So my Benevolent Blends order was completely ignored.
I get that small businesses have different issues, and I also believe in supporting groups like these monks who try to be self-supporting. But even making allowances for these personal beliefs, LaserMonks has dropped the ball so badly with my order that I can't support them by ordering again. Caveat emptor."
"I've ordered from LaserMonks a few times and have appreciated the low cost ink cartridges for my home printer, the ease of ordering and finding the right product, and the non-profit aspect of their business. My last order seems to have coincided with them upgrading their entire order processing system and was significantly delayed without a lot of clear communication. In the end I did reach someone by phone who after seeing the trouble with the order shipped out an upgraded version of my order via 2nd day UPS which was great. It's hard to complain when the problem was resolved so nicely, so I won't. "
"No, they chose not to interact with me, after I emailed 3x and called once. I'd ordered from them for years - at least 4 - my last satisfactory order was in May 2010; it arrived within a week. I ordered almost FIVE weeks ago, on JANUARY 9TH, 2011. It finally arrived TODAY, THIRTY-THREE DAYS LATER. I know others have had worse experiences and it took longer for them to receive their orders, but NO ONE ever returned my emails or phone call. Now we'll see if these carts work, and at this point I do not want to repeat this exercise in frustration and futility."
"I've purchased all of my ink and toner producgts from LaserMonks for years. I have always received my products in a timely manner, with nothing having been damaged in shipment. As one might expect with any product, I have had one occasion where I received a cartridge that was defective. My issue was resolved by a customer care person with no questions asked, and received a replacement cartridge within a week of my call. I love the fact that my purchase helps support others!"
"I ordered two printer cartridges on December 3, 2010. My credit card was charged immediately. On December 19, 2010 I called, and spoke to Victoria, the person that had taken my order. She said that she would send a new order out immediately, and that I would have it in two (2) days. As of today, December 28, 2010, I have received nothing. Today I called and left several messages, and have received no call in return. I have emailed, and received no reply. No one seems interested in communicating; even if they haven't outright stolen from me, customer service here clearly sucks. I would review the quality of the cartridges, but I've none to review.
If I'm unable to speak to anyone, or receive a clear, usable tracking number by end day tomorrow, I'll be disputing the charges, and reporting it to the AG. This is ridiculous.
Update: January 14, 2011
I spoke with two of the principals sequentially on the 30th of December, 2010. The second agreed to refund my money. I received it within a few days.
Within a day I also received a complimentary laser printer cartridge, one of the two that I had ordered.
Seems to work fine. The one that ordered the refund told me that they had three times as many orders as they were able to fill, and apologized for the delay. I'm satisfied; case closed. "

"Seven weeks after I placed my order, I still have not received all of my items. Of the six items I ordered, I've received only two. I have asked for a refund. We'll see if I get it.
I've been on the phone with a Lasermonks representative three times over the last three weeks. Previous emails went unanswered. Each time, they promise I'll receive my order by the end of the week. Yesterday, another person told me that they were still out of one of the cartridges I ordered (this is the first time I'd been told that one of the items was essentially backordered). No explanation on why the other items have never shipped.
The refund has not yet appeared on my credit card, and I have no faith that it will. I likely will have to dispute the charge.
I can't attest to the quality of their toner because I never received enough cartridges to try them in my printer. Had I known that it would be a two month process getting toner, I never would have ordered with them."

"Lasermonks is a reputable organization, and it's easy to have positive buying experience with them. Search the model, placed the order, and it arrives in a couple weeks. I've purchased color and black ink a few times and buy a few to save on shipping. I've been a satisfied customer for years.
The purchase not only was cheaper than at my local computer store, but they put a portion of the proceeds towards ethical causes. They also included a plastic sleeve to return the old cartridge, so it can be recycled. "
"Sold me a defective ink cartridge. I tried to chat online, but no answer. I filled out the RMA form, and no answer. They apparently don't want to provide any customer service to me, or remedy the situation."
"In November 2004, I tried out the color cartridge I had gotten on the May order and found it defective. After notifying lasermonks.com in their return/comment section and inquiring how to get replacement cartridge, I never got a reply after submitting my request. I did do this twice. I even placed another order with them before realizing they were not responding to request for replacement.
Not a big deal, but loss of confidence in site because of no communication.

"My last order, since lasermonks redid their site, never arrived. Contacted them by email, since they never contacted me, after a week. After 24 hrs. they got back to me, and stated that the order was lost, and that they would reship and I would have to wait another week.
When the monks were handling the site, there was always lots of communication, quick delivery, and no charge to the credit card until I got the product. Now greed has replaced their GOD and they have become unfriendly to their customers as numerous other sites on the web. My credit card now gets charge right away, and I can wait for the product."
"Very fast service, very low shipping charges, good inks for the price. Considering I have a Canon i950 the inks are a little off from canon original but at a fraction of the price I can adjust my view of photo prints slightly."
"I ordered two cartridges for my Epson C60 printer. My order was not coming for over a week, and still no sign that it was being sent. I called them and immediately was talking with a live person. They took my number and told me they'd call back when they find out about my order. I received the call in less than ten minutes and they told me they don't know what happened, but to make up for it they included several free cartridges. I am VERY satisfied."
