"Hired the Canon TS-E 90mm 2.8 from LensesForHire for a specific shoot and the service was excellent. Lens was well packaged and delivered as promised, the day before hire started. Then you return the day after the hire expires, so effective get 2 extra partial days.

Lens was clearly not brand new, but front and rear glass was spotlessly clean and all functioned perfectly.

"Was unsure of renting a camera lens from a web based site, that I had limited knowledge of, but I had seen a few reviews that suggested it was worth having a go.

To be fair - my first impressions are very good.

The lens is shipped to you the day before your rental period starts so you have it from the get go on rental day. You then have to post it back the day after your rental period.

So, although (I) rented it for 3 days - Tues to Thurs - I had the lens from before 12noon on Monday until the post office closed on Friday.

Bonus.

The lens came in good packaging, a sturdy box with solid foam inserts. The lens was in its original lens bag inside that.

There was a skylight filter on the lens to add protection.

The lens (I) rented was in good condition, some scuffs to the lens cap (who cares about that) and the optics seemed perfect.

There was good up to date communcation from LensesForHire about what stage the rental was at, and they returned my communication very promptly when questioned.

I have already booked my next lens with them :D"

"After being unable to find somewhere local to hire a lens I came across lensesforhire by searching online. I made some initial enquiries by email to find out which lens would be the most suitable for the purpose it was intended and if it would fit on my camera. I received a prompt reply and decided to go with their suggested lens. The lens arrived on time and well packaged. Instructions on the use of the lens were included.

I particularly liked the fact that the day you receive the lens doesn't count as your first day of hire and that your last day of hire is right up till midnight of that day so you don't send it back till the day after that.

The lens that was suggested to me was perfect for the purpose I needed it for and I got some amazing pictures.

It was easy to send the lens back using the packaging it came in with their return address sticker included as well.

I received a confirmation email to say that they had received the lens back in good condition.

To buy the lens would have cost £1,000+ but to hire and try it first was £65 (including P&P and insurance)which made sense to me for such a large purchase.
