"The whole process was smooth. I'd been told that I needed a 400mm lens for my safari trip and found I could hire one for my camera from LensesForHire. I filled in the online form, entered my credit card details and sat back and waited for the lens to arrive. Upon arrival I noted that the packaging was substantial and these guys obviously didn't want anything untoward to happen to the lens in transit. The box not only contained the lens but also instructions in it's use and the process for return. The lens itself looked brand new and I hoped that the upcoming 14 days in Kenya wouldn't change that. The images I managed to capture were stunning and due to the physical proximity we were able to get to some of the animals, the detail was awesome. Upon return to the UK, the lens was duly collected and I received an email stating that the company were going to test it and let me know the result. This was certainly unnerving as I had no way of knowing whether six days of safari roads had damaged some of the more intricate internal components and I had been unaware of any problems. However all was well and I'd anticipate anyway that the insurance I took out would have covered any damage that had occurred. In terms of cost, for a one off holiday like that, it wasn't an issue. If I need to try a lens in future I'll call LensesForHire for sure. "

"I loved the informality of the website and just knew I wouldn't be disappointed with Lenses for Hire. It just ticked all my boxes. I ordered a Canon 200 f1.8 and 85 f1.2 which I was desperate to try out with a possible view to buying one or the other or indoor sports. I required the lenses last Saturday, up in the North of Scotland, and Stewart made sure I had them in good time by posting on Monday and they arrived on Tuesday. Everything was perfect and I was delighted with the results. I've spent all week uploading 350 images to my website and I've been inundated with photo requests following 6,000 views in four days. My best indoor work by a mile in a hall where half the lights were off for energy conservation, creating many light and dark spots. My wife was so impressed that she gave me the thumbs up to purchase a 200 f1.8 I had been eyeing up on ebay, but unfortunately it had gone by the time she gave me the green light on Saturday night.

"I hired a Canon EF 300 f2.8 L IS lens from LensesForHire.co.uk and have nothing but praise for them. Despite having a very short turnaround time if they let me hire the lens when I wanted, they allowed the hire if I could guarantee it's prompt return. This did mean that I had to fund an external courier to return the lens, but that was a small price to pay compared to not having the lens in the first place. Communications were excellent throughout, and no security deposit was required. I would definately use them again."
