"This is the worst site ever...I bought a limo ride for 179, from comfortable transportation. On the day that i was suppose to get my ride the dude never showed, he said that the voucher was good for 4 months and that i could reschedule i bought it in august and it was suppose to last through December however i was having an issue with the guy with the limo company, he never would set up a time or except my calls, I called living social and asked could i have a refund and they told me no because the voucher was till valid and the limo business was not closed. The guy refused to take me on my ride and i told living social that, they still refused to give me my money back because they contacted the guy and he said he is willing to give me the ride. Long story short he never gave me ride and living social never returned my money period despite the problem that i was having with the guy... it was the worst experience ever..."
"Got a voucher for a deal on Living Social....Placed an order with Keycharger.com almost 2 months ago and no one will reply to me or do anything about me not getting my order. Living Social is rude, full of moronic agents who will not help you AT ALL. I have had to file a complaint with the BBB and a dispute with PayPal. This is a ONE MAN OPERATION that sold literally thousands of these things and cannot fulfill them. Living Social is not screening the people they sell for and taking no responsibility for anything they sell. BEWARE."
"I purchased a voucher from Living Social and after numerous attempts to contact the vendor, was unable to book. I contacted Living Social who told me to keep trying!! After numerous more attempts and then finally getting someone who knew nothing about the company I again contacted Living Social and asked for a refund. They said I had entered a legal contract and a refund would not be forthcoming. They then offered to book for me. I said "OK", however the voucher has now expired and I'm still waiting for their response. Don't use them!! Customer services is non existant."
"I purchased a 1 hour Segway Experience with a company called Can You Experience which expires on 14th February but when I tried to book today (7th February)they have told me there is no availability and the voucher will not be honoured or refunded. This was a Christmas present for my daughter and Can You Experience and Living Social have totally ruined it. Beware and don't deal with either of these companies."
"They took away my $25!!
I have a $25 credit on living social that expire on Feb. 4. When I try to use it on Feb. 4, it said says credit expired.
Their explanation is that when they mean expire on Feb. 4, it can expire any time on Feb. 4. So when I try to use it, it's the time that they decide to take away my credit and they are not give it back! This is completely a ripoff."
"It was a horrible experience with these guys. I had some deal bucks with them which expire on a particular date. Any sane mind will think that day is the last day one can use it. But they say that they expire on that day and cannot be used. They expire at 12 AM on that day. They should have clearly mentioned it as the previous day. Spoke with the CC but no help, very poor customer service."
"Living Social did not try to help (as advertised) when I could not track or get a reply from the company I purchased the voucher for. They simply refunded my voucher value and now I'm stuck with a $20 shipping charge. Beware"
"bought a window tinting deal from living social. the company that was to do the tinting, Divine Auto Salon, lost the employee that does their tinting so they could not fulfill their service. according to google reviews, this had been the situation for about a month. even though the vendor could not fulfill the service purchased via the Living Social voucher, Living Social would not refund the purchase. "
"I have ordered 4 things from Living Social; 2 vouchers and 2 orders for merchandise. Both orders took over a month to arrive and that was only after sending emails. I will never use LS again and will not recommend them."
"Horrible experience with an oil change voucher. Groupon customer service is so much better. I wasted 4 attempts trying to e-mail them. Will never do business with them again. Their supposed customer service doesn't even read my e-mails. Just sends me generic responses.
I bought a voucher for an oil change for a specific location. The merchant sent me a voucher for an entirely different location. Incredible waste of time."
"I ordered my daughter the only thing she asked for Christmas from here on the 19th was guaranteed by Christams!!! It is the 26th they have NO information about my order other than its been ordered. They basically listed false advertising so I would order from them, gave me a creit (for the inconvenience) to spend more money with them and I still have not got my order!"
"To all of the Consumers out there, dont feel too terrible, the service from Living Social to their Retailers is equally appaling. I am one of the many retailers that will happily honour the voucher, when brought into my store. We do our best to keep everyone happy. Our issue is with Living social. Their promise to pay within 15days is a lie, it took us almost 2 months to get paid, 4times the promised time. We as retaiers rely on the number of vouchers sold, to accuratly order the product we have given the deal on. However Living Social does not honour their 5day return policy. Its 3 months into our deal, and they are still accepting returns, which puts a business like mine in a awkward position. We as retailers will usually loose money on a deal, as Living social only pays us 47% of the amount you pay, this is how they scam their money from all of us. We understand the 5day thinking period, and accept it, but taking money out of our pockets, because someone waited 3months to think about it unacceptatble. Shame on Living Social, a business we will never venture into working with again. In short, your customer service is terrible, from both sides of the table, and you need to look at your refund policy, create a set of rules and actually stick to them."
"Their customer service is so poor and rude. I bought the deal of 3 hours of house cleaning from xhome cleaning in CO but the service I received was an hour of cleaning from 3 people that they told me that was equivalent without giving me the option if I was ok with their changing the deal. I called to complaint and asked for refund but what I got from Livingsocial people was nothing they can do...oh..really, I was got rip off by both the cleaning company and scam living social.. My deal that I purchased was obviously said 3 hours of house cleaning. I' m so so disappointed and mad. I will not ever do business with this people and scam living social ever again. Unlike, Groupon, they take care customers A LOT better. They make sure that customers are happy with the service or products. From now on, I will stick with groupon , the company that cares for customers..I hope Livingsocial is out of business soon..just do not like them .. Scam and rob people money. "
"Pathetic is one word that describes my experience with Living social. Bought Christmas cruise voucher from them but when I called the merchant to book the cruise, he said that I will have to pay full amount using credit card and I can use the voucher on their any other usual cruise, which by the way was of same price without a voucher anyways.
Called Living social to complain, was on hold for 15 min, gave up after that and complained using help page. No response for 48 hr on the web complain. Again called them, this time on hold for 20 min but I was determined to talk to someone this time, finally someone answers and tells me that she will talk to merchant, again hold for 10 minutes and the response I get is merchant is willing to honor the voucher for any of their normal cruise- OK I know that, what about the cruise that you advertised while selling- Sorry sir we can't do anything about it-Advised me to gift the voucher to someone- Thanks preacher, don't tell me what to get best out of my lost money, instead have a way so that your customers are not taken for a ride. You got your commission and you are happy with it, merchant will get some business- as at least few of the customers will fall prey to his bait (I might have to do it too to get at least something out of the money I put in) - do more and let customer be happy too.
STAY AWAY FROM LIVING SOCIAL is my advice to you. I had an amazing experience with Groupon and Amazon local deals.

"Living Social comes accross at first as a great idea, that is until you purchase anything more expensive than a $10 item. They do NOT even check to see if the business is, in fact, open for business. They just sell the coupons and pocket the cash. If you have a problem finding the doors open on a business as I did they just tell you "touch" and that you're out of luck. In my case they asked if I would like to "gift" the deal I bought for rain gutter cleaning to someone else. Right! "Gift" a coupon from a business not even open to someone else. In this case, the offer was for a business called Pro Service Handyman. I call both numbers given and e-mail them at the e-mail on the web and NO ANSWERS, NOT EVER! I am writing the BBB and State's Attys General on this matter and imagine that Living Social will be speaking out of the other side of their mouths when they get inquiries from regulatory agencies. I do believe that Living Social "banks" on the hope that the customers who are screwed will NOT pursue the matter(s) further. So, COMPLAIN!"
