"This store is committing fraud, and I will be reporting them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau along with the Better Business Bureau. I originally purchased 3 items. Only two were shipped to me. The item for $32.99 was not. They sent an email stating that refunds were processed on Fridays. The purchase was made on November 3rd. Today is December 7th, and I still haven’t received the refund.
I filed a PayPal claim on November 16th. However, right after I filed the PayPal claim, I received a “credit memo” from LolliCouture for nearly the entire total of my order. Then, I made a really bad mistake--I closed the PayPal claim even though I hadn’t received any actual funds (only a “memo” from LolliCouture). I should’ve waited until I received actual funds before closing the claim. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE! If you file a claim with PayPal, LEAVE IT OPEN until you see the money back in your PayPal account.
I contacted the company and asked them why they sent a credit memo and no actual refund. They stated the credit memo was from PayPal. I don’t know what they’re talking about because the credit memo was sent from the email address “****@****”. They also stated they wouldn’t send any refund until the chargeback was completed. I told them the chargeback was cancelled and they could verify this by looking at the PayPal transaction. The degenerate responding to emails simply said the same thing again: “You must clear any chargebacks before we can refund your money. It’s not fraud because by the time our refund was going to go through, the chargeback had already been filed.”
I’ve gone ahead and filed a claim with my bank. This company is impossible to work with. Rather than looking back at the actual transaction to see that I cancelled the initial claim I filed with PayPal, they just kept insisting that I clear up the chargeback. Clearly, idiots work for this company.
Not to mention, the fact that they didn’t send an item means they have horrible inventory management. You don’t know if what you’re buying is actually in stock. Other companies will automatically refund you if they happen to make a mistake or if they aren’t shipping an item you purchased. LolliCouture is happy to simply take money and not send the items. That is fraud--plain and simple. Then they are unwilling or too incompetent to sort through problems.
You are better off buying from Amazon or Asos or somewhere where competence and proper inventory control are practiced. Do not buy from this company. You have been warned. You will be fighting to get your money back.
