"Lorex wireless products LW7722B work acceptably, however their customer service and replacement department are non-existent. One of the power adapters failed on one of the cameras, I ordered the stuff on July 21, 2015 first request to replace the defective power adapter was August 14, 2015, unit is still in warranty, but no part, no answer. However I did get an email asking if I wanted to buy their extended warranty! FUNNY when they will not honor the new warranty.

Second entry:
I was contacted by Jenny, one of Lorex's managers. After Jenny got wind of what had occurred she fixed what ever the problem was and I received a replacement part in 4 days. Now that's Customer Service! Thank You Jenny

"Product doesn't support Mac as advertised. Can't set up iPhone app, without accessing several steps from a PC. Calling customer service, ends with long stretches of music and no answer. Return form on website doesn't allow you to complete it to set up a return and refund. unable to return and get refund, out $700 and contacting BBB. "

"I recently gave Lorex Technology a poor rating because of the way customer service had handled my case on replacing my monitor that had gone bad while it was still under warranty, but, Jenny from upper management stepped in and took it over. She contacted me and told me she was going to talk to her manager and get a new monitor sent out to me right away, which they did. I'm alot happier with Lorex now since she took over my case. Thanks again, Jenny . Steve."

"Ordered two baby monitors from Lorex, received only one but was charged for two units. I was informed that I could only receive one unit and was told I would receive a refund back to my PayPal account. On June 14 I contacted customer service again, and was told it was moving to a "higher" level within the company. Today, July 14, 2015... I have heard nothing back from Lorex and have yet begun another ticket to get my money refunded.

At this point I would NOT buy anything from this company. ZERO INTEGRITY.

"This review is for the Lorex LNR84W system with an 8 channel NVR and 4 HD IP Cameras.

First, the good. I chose the IP cameras because no matter which cameras you decide to buy, you will need to run some sort of cabling. If your cameras use coax cable you have to run coax. The problem with that is the coax must be run directly to the NVR in one uninterrupted cable. If you use wireless cameras, you still need to run some sort of power cabling to the cameras. That means you must mount your cameras very near a power source, or add power to the location of the camera. With IP cameras you can run the cabling directly to the NVR if you wish, or to any network router or switch just like any other network device. This greatly increases mounting options, and can greatly decrease cable lengths etc. Also, since the cameras utilize PoE (Power over Ethernet), you do not need to pull any additional power cabling and the one network cable is all you need.

My system came with 4 bullet type cameras. They provide good quality video during the day, with good resolution (1080p), and good color. The night vision is not as clear, but it is pretty good. Personally, I think the infra red is a little too centered causing the center of the picture to be brighter than the rest of the image.

Regarding the systems capabilities, there is quite a lot of it. There are many different recording options for scheduling and motion detection. For example, you can set up each camera with motion detection. You can also exclude portions of the image from detection, and set other parts of the image for one of four levels of sensitivity. And if one camera detects motion, you can also use that to turn on other cameras at the same time. Nice.

Client software support is a mixed bag for me. I use linux as the operating system of choice for my pc. Lorex has absolutely no linux support. But support using the FLIR Cloud client software seems to be pretty good for Windows, Mac, and Android. I have to assume that iPhone/iPad support is also good.

Customer service has been good. During my initial installation and configuration of the NVR I ran into a problem. I called Lorex tech support and they had me going in about 10 minutes total (that included wait time).

I do have a couple of minor complaints though. First, the fan noise of the NVR is just way too loud. Loud enough that you won't want to place the NVR in any room that you will occupy for any length of time, and certainly not around your tv, which makes the HDMI port useless. I have mine mounted in the garage until I can find a better place for it.

Second complaint, To view the cameras with a web browser you must install plugins, and the plugins are only available for Windows and Mac. That means no Linux browsers, no Android browsers, no smart TV browsers, and (BIG assumption here) no iphone browser. But as long as you don't use linux, you are good to go with the FLIR Cloud client softeare

The bottom line - It is a very good system with good quality components and a full feature set. If you are looking for a security camera system, by all means give the Lorex systems a GOOD look.

"We ordered 4 wireless night vision cameras and the best DVD they offered. Two months later two cameras went bad two days apart. You have to return the cameras and they will then inspect them and replace them with new ones. This took 26 days total.
Then six months later the DVD hard drive went bad. It took seven days with calls on hold and submitting requests for repairs to return it. It has now been ten days since we returned the DVD and we cannot find out the status of the DVD.
WORST customer service we have EVER experienced. Do NOT buy from this company. You will sit on hold for hours and never get through to anyone. Then you will leave a message and it will take days for them to call back.

"Lorex has some great products, especially their eco systems. Pretty easy to setup hardware wise. However, their software for this system does need some work done. While the hardware works fine the software freezes more than it should while reviewing past days recordings. Real easy to capture and turn into movie files for permenant archives.

I did have an issue with one camera more or less just working when it felt like it. After contacting Lorex we went through some troubleshooting and finally figured out that the camera was defective. Lorex sent out a replacement camera within a week and a half, (we live in Alaska so all freight takes longer to arrive). I unboxed the new camera, hooked it up and it's been running fine since then. You would do best to call them directly with any issues as they aren't so quick looking at their web based tickets. The techs I talked with told me that they are very busy and for quicker service give them a call. All the techs I talked with are very knowledgeable about their products.

Please, please get someone to work on the software!

"We purchased four of the 960H long range night vision cameras to replace our older outdoor cameras. What a significant improvement in the picture; both day and night. You can see the images much more clearly and make identification easily. At night, the distance covered by the camera doubled. They were well worth the cost; less than $100 per camera.

We were so impressed by the improved picture that we ordered four more of these 960H cameras.

"I did a lot of research prior to purchasing my Lorex HD Camera system. In addition to crystal clear HD picture quality, the NVR is full featured. I especially like the motion detection and e-mail of snapshots when motion is detected. You have very granular control over each camera. Documentation is excellent. Installation was easy. Hardest part is running the cables, but good thing you only have to run one when you get a system that supports PoE (Power over Ethernet). "

"After researching Lorex Cameras in great detail I finally decided to order the HD 720P system, man did I make the right choice. The setup and installation was a breeze. The software is also a snap to use, but above all the video is of super great quality NIGHT and Day, the range is awesome as well. My only regret is that I didn't get more cameras ... Definitely a great security system and I've yet had to contact costumer service for any issues. "
