"I generally love Lucky Vitamin. I've been shopping here for years and the selection and prices are pretty competitive. I like the fact that you can pay a couple bucks more to forego duties and taxes for international orders.
Recently, I had a not so great experience, however, when my order arrived without one of the items I ordered and paid for. When I contacted Customer Service, they tried their best to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they could not ship a replacement to me because that option was not available to them through the system. It made no sense to me, since the mistake was on their end.
In order to make it up to me, they refunded the original product (which is now more expensive due to the exchange rate) and send me a $10 USD voucher. In essence, this covered the original shipping charges.
It seemed like a very flawed system to me because not only was this a more difficult and lengthy process than simply shipping a replacement to me, but it actually cost them more to issue me the voucher and refund. Just a weird way to do business.
The Customer Service agent, however, was very patient and did their best. So I appreciated that.
The end result is, before shopping here now, I will probably just go to a local health store to avoid the hassle of potentially going through this again. That being said, there are many products that are available here that I cannot find in stores, so I would return for that."
"The product is great but 2 of the bags came opened with pieces in the box. I contacted them immediately and I am still waiting for my credit. I tried to call, chat, and email. The 1 response I did get was to send photos of the open bags...REALLY??? After no response and being during Covid I threw the open bags and contents OUT. Do they not know what an open bag looks like?
I would buy the product again. They are delicious!! But NOT from Lucky Vitamins."

"Order shipped to the wrong address. I immediately email them to let them know. Next day I haven't heard anything so I go on chat. Too late to change address. I am assured that the package will be returned and they will ship it to the correct address once it is received. Order doesn't ship for 2 more days (but it was too late to change address!). It is returned back to them as undelivered. I chat to make sure they will ship it right back out. Yes again they assure me it will reship to the correct address as soon as it is logged in by their warehouse. 7 days later I receive a refund. No explanation. No order. Total clown show. "

"I would have given 5 stars from the 6+ yrs of great service, but then contemplated 3 stars or lower because of the many backorder issues since last year (2019).
I have been ordering health supplements & other items from Lucky Vitamin every month for 7+ years, and usually ordering went okay & I have loved the variety of items & prices at Lucky Vitamin. But last year (2019), there started to be issues with more & more backordered items. Things improved beginning of this year 2020, but in the last month I have had more backordered items again!
The backordered items are supplements I use daily and I even order ahead so I don't run out, but when items are backordered you will not know until 14 days later IF Lucky even got restocked! Then you have to wait for it to be shipped, IF they have been restocked. IF NOT, then you can either wait some more or they can cancel your backorder & you are left without having your item(s) for possibly 4 weeks & needing to find another retailer to order from & wait for that shipment. WHAT!?!
In their defense, Lucky sometimes emailed a $10 off coupon for my many backordered items, BUT I did not see that email until the coupon expired 3 DAYS after being sent. Gosh, if you are gonna send a coupon to console me for my disappointment for your lack of stock, could you make it expire maybe a month later?. And after dealing with ALL these issues, I am not sure I want to make another order & definitely NOT within 3 DAYS! I need some time to rebuild my faith.
Another crazy thing that is happening this year (2020) is I will get emails saying that some of my "favorite", specifically-named items are getting low in stock & I should order NOW, just AFTER I have ordered that specific item(s) & have been notified that the specific item is backordered ---so, items is out-of-stock, right? So, there is something wrong with their point-of-sale inventory records. But I keep ordering, as I look elsewhere for possible retailers that have my items in stock when website says "in stock."
On a positive note & which redeems Lucky a bit: last year (2019) I joined the Lucky Membership to take advantage of the wonderful benefits! I do LOVE the free shipping for orders $25+, and I really LOVE my Personal Consultant whom I can call or email for a range of needs, from helping to find supplements to taking care of order issues. Again, for years I ordered without ANY shipping or backordered items issues with Lucky, but last year I had too many to count!! My Personal Consultant Genevieve was able to straighten out most issues usually with finding a substitute supplement. The biggest problem at Lucky Vitamin currently is the backorder system.
The 2nd biggest is not being able to have "Printer-Friendly" invoices! And invoices that lists ALL items that you have ordered whether through website or via Autoship, and these invoices need to also list the backordered items, and also list the tax. There isn't a Printer-Friendly version anywhere, even on "Your Account" Recent Orders page on the website! You get multiple emails about an order, but they all have these extra ads tucked in the verbage, so NOT Printer-Friendly either. And those multiple emails are about different aspects of your order: backordered items; shipped items with the billed total & tax; Autoship order shipping out. And you get am invoice in your shipped items box but that only lists name of items & does show backorder items, but NO prices & total with tax. So, you do not have a copy of the original order you placed that includes backordered items. I would like ONE receipt so I can see EVERYTHING I ordered AND what I am waiting for on backorder AND has the total with tax of "in stock" shipped items, so I can more easily keep track or what I have coming & what I may need to order elsewhere in 14 days or so, and a total to reconcile with my creditcard statement.
I sure hope Lucky Vitamin gets their act together with "in stock" & backordered items and printer-friendly receipts that show your original order with backorder items listed, because I DO LOVE their variety of items usually in stock & their LV Membership Personal Consultants!"
