"When EBSCO ceased business operations they recommended Magazines.com. We tried to order 12 magazines today for my reception area. The Magazines.com site will only allow you to purchase 1 magazine at a time. When we tried to order the 2nd title it triggered a fraud alert on my credit card. They blamed my credit card company for the "settings" that triggered the alert. I called multiple times. No answer. Finally got an answer, but the person I spoke with did not have an abundance of common sense. I finally resorted to reporting it as fraud instead of trying to unravel it. Believe these reviews."
"I just don't understand why your company sells magazines and yet you can't seem to get it together enough to send out the only thing you sell! I ordered 3 magazines in the spring and still have not received a single issue of any of them. I have called and been assured I will receive my magazines.... in January???? Really? What is wrong with your business model? Send me my magazines...please!!!! If I had an unhappy customer (with a right to be unhappy) I would try my best to fix the problem. I think you need new leadership with a new focus. Right now Magazines.com just seems like a huge scam Come on!

"They will not let you reset your password, you'll never receive a password reset code to cancel your subscription. If you call the number it's a robot that just constantly says it doesn't understand anything. "Which product are you calling about?" doesn't give products and doesn't understand anything.
There is no way to speak to a person, no way to cancel your subscription. That means it's a scam, but get this if you want to access your digital library it will email you a link to login with no password, but you can't access your billing from there. So they have the ability to send you emails afterall. I am a software engineer that builds websites and this is definitely a scam.
You'll notice it asks for your account number to do anything but none of your emails have an account number. That's by design.

"I have ordered Better Homes and Gardens and Food Network. Both had multiple missing issues. Will not be ordering from this company again."
"I ordered a subscription to Monthly Prescribing Reference on Jan 11, 2023. Waited till March (8 weeks), called them and was told there was a delay, and to wait until 12 weeks. I contacted them April 23, and they sent me back an email to contact the magazine's customer service. I called MPR customer services today (4/25) and was informed that they didn't receive the order information until MARCH, but the magazine is now on the way, and I should have it by May 5th. So, Magazine.com sat on my money for 2 months and didn't do their job until I complained. Skip this middle man and avoid the aggravation. Whatever money they promise to save you, ISN'T WORTH IT!!!"
"Had a gift card given to me for Christmas. Looked in the site chose a subscription for £29.99. Couldn’t use the gift card. Looked at gift card instructions put in card details first and then a choice of about 10 rubbish magazines appear and nothing I was interested in. My friend wasted £35 as I can’t spend it on the magazine I want. This is a con"
"Do not engage in any business with this company. It’s not worth it - completely and totally a scam through and through. You will waste more time & money than any perceived benefit you may get. You cannot reach anyone to even discuss “the fine print” - and they have terribly unethical practices. I wish these reviews had been more accessible before I was hoodwinked. I had ordered the magazines as part of a team’s fundraiser - never again."
"Never received the magazine. The company did not answer emails to their "help" address. All they are good for is sending me spam emails to remind me that I was ripped off :( "
"Took out money automatically from account and there was still a month lapse receiving mag. This also was a renewal so should not have been a lapse at all. Took out money 2 weeks before expiration
"
"I received an email stating I have until 1/21/20 to cancel my subscription. I have decided to cancel and no longer receive the magazine so I went to log in to my account. But everytime I am logged in, it brings me a page that says "You are already Logged in, try logging out first to continue" So I do, and when I try to go back to the My account page to cancel, it brings me back to that same message. I tried originally on my phone, so I thought, well I will use my laptop to see if its just me, but nope! Computer does the same thing....constant loop to log out first to proceed to My Account page.....
So I called the 1-877# to try and cancel, but the line doesn't go anywhere either. I finally hit redial so many times, I got a recording that said they are closed. So I will try again first thing tomorrow morning. This is way too much to try and cancel. I would not recommend. "
"Wish i could give 0 stars. Ordered a subscription of motor news and waited 2 months then finally got the magazine and it was wrong magazine so called to have them send right one and they didnt want to help fix the order just told us to pay $8 more dollars. We didnt want to pay $8 dollars more due to the advertised price was $18.95 for that subscription. So we asjed for a full refund. i would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to recieve the wrong magazine and get robbed!"
"I ordered Time magazine. They say they have not received my order, but my credit card got charged though. I contacted customer service who took two days to respond. Once they said they have the order but it hasn't processed yet. The next they said they don't have it. I have to wait until my credit card fully processes the transaction to dispute the charge. I will never use this service again. Then there's no way take your account down, so if you want to order a magazine they have, it automatically gets routed through them even if you try to order through the magazine's main site. I guess I'll just call to order magazines from now on. A waste of time, and has in fact created more work for me as I have to try and get my money back for the magazine that apparently I haven't subscribed to yet. "
"Many incrideble new products, keeping me on the cutting edge of technology"
"Ordered a subscription as a gift. Did not receive all issues promised and Magazines.com automatically took money out of my PayPal account for the renewal. Customer Service said an email was sent which I could have cancelled. Unable to locate any such email. Processing refund within 14 days. Meantime they are holding my money. Poor business practice at the least. Avoid!"
"These guys are a bunch of frauds, they avoided paying out my cashback by claiming it was already paid out to some random other site they named-WHICH WAS NOT EVEN A CASHBACK SITE! They cannot seem to even lie or cheat their customer's in a competent manner!"
