"The online course is good, However, you will not pass the unit Quizes and Exams just doing them, They don’t cover a large amount of info that’s in the books.
The Electronic Flash Cards also don’t review a lot of info that you will be test on.
My advice, Read the Books and take notes. Use the computer class as a Supplement. "

On second to last question a warning message said I was doing something suspicious and it I did it again, the test would be thrown out and I would need to buy another test. Hurriedly got the last question answered. I have no clue what I did, but I thought it was an unethical way to get me to buy another test. "

" Overall a very interesting read and very informative, didn’t quite realize how much knowledge a person has to retain in order to become a licensed captain! Again very interesting if you want to improve your seamanship or actually become a captain. Some sections could be explained in a more down to earth manner, many people may have a hard time understanding what they are reading without some explanation. I ordered the book course because I’m old and old school!!! A friend ordered the online version and said that it was easy to understand, can’t comment on that but the books are great! "
