"I chose Mariners Learning system as the path to complete my OUPV-Six Pack and assistant towing endorsement. Having struggled in school and having poor test experiences growing up, I was skeptical if I would succeed. The courses were well put together with plenty of practice material. As they advertise, they can be taken at any time any day at your own pace. Which was needed since I work full time and had little free time otherwise. If I ran into any difficulties or questions I could not find answers to myself I received fast, professional responses. I still had to put in the work and study, its definitely not a free pass to a Merchant Mariner Credential. But I was given all the tools and guidance needed. Ended up passing all sections of the final proctored exam first try and they continued to answer follow up questions as I began the process of compiling all the necessary Coast Guard requirements additional to the Certificate of completion from the course. If I ever feel that I need to go back and upgrade my license to a Master, 50,100 ton ,etc. I will certainly come right back to Mariners Learning System. "
"I am a retired optometrist and lifetime boater. I also spent part of my career teaching. The Mariners Learning System is well done and works as represented. I did the 100 Ton Masters, Towing Endorsement, and MROP courses. They methodically and logically lay out the material and effectively prepare the student for the exams. They also explain the somewhat convoluted application procedure. A common online recommendation is to retain a third party company to walk you through the application submission procedure, but with MLS, that is not necessary. Their programs are thorough and worked as described. If their guidelines and curriculum are carefully followed, then success is very likely. I definitely recommend their courses. "
