"I purchased a Simple Technology Inc. PC CARD W/ DRIVELINK- THINKPAD from Memory 4 Less to transfer data from my old IBM Thinkpad laptop hard drive to my new one and it came with the wrong interface for the hard drive. It was clearly not an IDE connection. I was redirected to the manufacturers tech support (Simpletech) because of (MEMORY 4 LESS) lack of product knowledge. The recommendation was to return my order to Memory 4 Less (the reseller) and replace with PC CARD W/ DRIVELINK- UNIVERSAL after receiving the replacement; it was still the wrong interface (identical part as original ordered).
Note: I paid shipping charges because Memory4Less (the reseller)said I ordered the wrong part.
THE MANUFACTURER STATES THEY WAS GOING TO SEND THE RIGHT INTERFACE ADAPTER BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO MEMORY 4 LESS AND SIMPLTECH I NEVER GOT THIS RESOLVED. SO I CANCELLED ORDER (approx time period 60 days) I WAS CHARGED TWO SHIPPING FEES WITH A RMA.
This was reseller's response even when they send me the wrong product due to their lack of product knowledge and the manufacturers shipping mistakes.
"You are responsible for paying shipping charges for returning product to Memory4Less."
THIS WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME AND SHIPPING FEES!
This reseller SUCKS! This reseller dosen’t takes responsibility for their errors. They redirect customers and for tech support to the manufacturer, also blames manufacturer for errors.
I WILL CONTACT BBB.

"Used this company for the first time due to the excellent price offering. While shipping time could have been a tick faster, the product was well packaged and works flawlessy. I was very satisfied with the transaction."
"BUYER BEWARE: This company has a history of "bait and switch" tactics!!!
I really wish I had read some of the complaints on the Internet concerning Memory4less before I purchased from them. Several people have pointed out that they were victims of a bait and switch. So was I. If you don't believe me, take a look at the reviews for this merchant at epinions.com.
I ordered two sticks of PC100 notebook memory. I had decided to buy from Memory4less because their site let me choose the exact memory that was recommended for my system. This gave me a feeling of confidence that I would be getting compatible memory.
In reality, they sent me PC133 memory, which was incompatible. My notebook would not even boot. I managed to get a support person on the phone and they basically argued with me telling me that it should still work, even though it was obvious that it wasn't. I told them that they had not sent me what they advertised and what I ordered. I asked for a full refund, including the original shipping charges since the fault was completely on their end, not mine.
To make a long story short, after several emails back and forth and several weeks of effort on my part, they finally agreed to a refund. However, it's now been several more weeks and I still haven't seen a dime back from them. I ended up having to dispute it with my credit card company, who processed a credit for me.
In the time being, I ended up buying the memory from Crucial.com. Yes, they charged more, but the service was top notch, it was shipped quickly, and everything worked, as promised. Sometimes it is worth it to spend more. I can't recommend them enough.
In the end, as I've said, I really wish I had taken the time to do a little research. Companies such as Memory4less get away with ripping customers off because most of us just suck it up. I wanted to make sure and make an effort to speak out so that some other poor unsuspecting soul may be spared the troubles that I and others have experienced with this company.

"NO customer service. They ignore ALL emails inquiring about shipping dates/tracking numbers or even if it's in stock. They don't return phone calls.
Do NOT order from them."
" Memory for less is right. I got less. I got nothing. I had a motherboard that I bought new from another company and it was defective. I bought the required memory at the same time from these guys. They call it 3D Memory. I bought another motherboard requiring different memory. They only have 7 day refund policy so that is not possible. Agreed to exchange for memory worth $124.00 (75.00 restocking fee?) to use in 2nd motherboard.
Returned memory and they say it never arrived. UPS says it was delivered. Still waiting for an exchange. 2 weeks. Buy from a memory house, not these guys. Hope my credit card can straighten it out. Lost $200.00. No wonder they sell for less."
"Item arrived promptly. Great price as well. I would definitely recommend to others this retailer."
"The transaction went smoothly and I received exactly what I ordered. My only gripe would be that I received a conformation email but no tracking number or shipping information to inform me when the product was shipped. I just used the cheapest shipping and it took about 5 business days to get to me. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would do business with Memory 4 Less again in the future. "
"Shipping options during order process ARE UNCLEAR. I thought Ground Shipping Saver was UPS. So, I put my physical address for delivery and my PO BOX for billing. I would have preferred to get the package at my PO BOX. Monday, they send e-mail asking about the address differences. I responded. No response to that e-mail. I told them I would prefer to get at PO BOX... but what happens ??? They ship it USPS Priority to my physical address... So, there is delay because verify a different billing and shipping address even though web site allows for that to be input. Why bother with online order form if I have to talk to someone on the phone or send an e-mail anyway just to get the order processed. And then I tell them where I would prefer package but they send it to physical address that was originally requested, ignoring the fact that I told them in an e-mail that if it could go by US Mail, I would prefer it to PO BOX. Another delay--another day because I work all day!! So I will get a notice in my box that it couldn't fit it the box and it's at the post office. And of course that will be at night when after work when the post office has already closed for the day. So, now I have to go to the post office ON SATURDAY!!! BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY DAY THE POST OFFICE IS OPEN AND I DON'T WORK AND IT'S TOO FAR FROM WORK. Of course, my PO BOX is right near work and I could go at lunch but they don't send it there. If was UPS like I thought, then my apartment office has package acceptance and I could run over after work and get it cause they are open until 6 p.m. So, this was my first and last order from this company and I haven't even gotten the product yet. Believe me, next time I will just go to COMPUSA and get it the same day with no $6.95 shipping charge and a week waiting period just to ship something that weight a couple ounces. OUCH! First class would cost less than a dollar for something that small. Get a clue at memory4less.com!

Updated 2/15/05.
Almost one month later and I still don't have a working part like I paid for. My computer manufacturer used a different speed RAM chip than their specs say so the chip I ordered from Memory4less won't work with my original chip. This was not memory4less' fault. However, poor customer service in handling the replacement is entirely their fault. By the time I get another part, I will have spent almost $20 total in shipping costs... with no guarantee that the replacement will work, either! I will never order from this company again, NOT EVER. I sent in the RMA request, explained about the speed difference and they would NOT contact me. When I finally called and got someone, they said they didn't reply to my posts in their RMA forum and my e-mails because they didn't know how to handle it... For heavens sakes, at least send me an e-mail telling me to call them ... respond in some fashion; don't just ignore me repeatedly. It's not the fact that I got a part that won't work that bothers me; it's the way the handled the support and replacement. Now, they won't even send the replacement until they get the first part they shipped back at their company, so I have to wait yet another week or more... HELLO, you have had my money UP-FRONT for one month while I have had no working part.... if they treat other customers this way, I'd be surprised if they stay in business."
"I purchased the item Order # 75297 then they send me a conformation email. When I called them about it they say No this was a mistake and they refused to sell it to me in that advertised price. They put the price to get into buy things then they do not honor their words. I would never buy from them and I will always write my review about them all over the internet. I think this unethical they just want to steal your money after they already sold you the item. If you are looking to waist your time with unreliable retail then deal with memory for less, they will do you wrong all the way. "
"I ordered a Pentium II CPU and the appropriate heat sink to upgrade an old Slot 1 Celeron. I placed the order on Saturday night, and it arrived on Wednesday. I installed the CPU and heatsink last night, and I have no problems."
"I ordered some laptop ram linked off of dealram.com. Great price, $10 cheaper than other sites. Got the confirmation email. Several hours later, they canceled my order, saying that it was 'discontinued'. However, checking again, it is still on their site, but at a much higher price. Bait and Switch. "
"I am out $291.20. they refuse refund, I did not authorize charge, I cancelled order when they told me it was back ordered, they sent it out then anyway. They tried to sell me a different product. very difficult to deal with, either pushy or non responsive. BEWARE!!!"

"Monday at noon I ordered Kingston part number KVR400X64C3AK2/1G which is two 512MB DDR400 ram modules as a "set". I got an order confirmation via email, but no offer of a tracking number, but it didn't matter since the order arrived very promptly here in Denver on Thursday afternoon via UPS. Modules appeared to have been "drop shipped" directly from Kingston which I didn't know they would do, but that was fine with me. Maybe drop shipping makes tracking difficult. The price was virtually as good as I could find, and the shipping cost was very reasonable. I haven't installed them yet, but the package is definitely 100% Kingston factory sealed "Value RAM" branded modules. I can only assume they will be fine."
"I ordered an Intel Celeron 633mhz CPU. They had one of the best pricess on-line. I ordered online on a Thursday night. I received notification with an email confirming I made an order with them on Friday. That Tuesday, I received another email stating my order had been processed and shipped the day prior. I was given a tracking number. I was not able to find the time to check and did not try to access this tracking number. I received my product that Thursday. (One Week from the original order date) I also received an email following up stating that they had received notice that the package had been delivered to me. It was packaged well and no damage during shipment. I have since installed the CPU and it works great. I had good luck, and will make another venture with this company again...for the right price."
