HORRIBLE EXPERIENCED !!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Very Rude, unfriendly, Inconsiderate department manager from cabinets and appliances Kevin Welch at Mt. prospect branch, who do not have any sense of customer service !! We bought cabinets from Menards a month or 3 ago and it has been nothing but a complete disaster from the start for giving me a total wrong computations and designs and we end up paying more and returning extra cabinets, sooooo terribly heavy wasting my time and effort because of their incompetence !! He don’t have a decency to resolve the problem !!
I will NEVER purchase a single thing from their stores again!!!! Beware and NEVER buy cabinets from them !! So, i would suggest,
TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO LOWES OR HOME DEPOT AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE !!

Need new management from top down.

"Can I give this location and organization a minus 500? Worst run ship in the lumber industry. Lazy store and corporate management, poorly organized and do not care about their customers, only their money. Didn't think I would every write a review like this, but when this company failed me, they failed immensely and did nothing to rectify. They owe me thousands of dollars for materials not delivered and think they are somehow justified in blaming me for LOSING my order!? Terrible systems and customer service is a complete train wreck."

"Menards customer service isn't...it is indifferent\unresponsive, inept, unskilled or untrained, innocently or intentionally. I've searched the web and read other reviews of Menards which are unfavorable and now I can support and add my views & experience. Frankly, my voice will be merely one from the chorus – BBB reviewed Menards and Menards earned and ‘F’ from BBB with this prevalent comment: The business responded to the dispute but failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it.
I'd summarize their service or lack thereof as "institutional indifference" combined with a lack of familiarity with products and service. Staff of Menards hardware, Hardware Associate Buyer, Menard, Inc. as well as Menards “guest services” is unwilling or unable to write a reply to written requests, form a response or simply acknowledge a written contact in a business-like fashion; i.e., indifference and simply unresponsiveness, either intentionally or innocently.
My dispute? Trying to get what I paid for, the product was shorted on contents, not all parts and pieces were included in my shelving unit. I started trying to get replacements 10 days ago but the supplier was and is the wrong supplier Menards referred me to and Menards has not answered me at all despite cc of 14 email exchanges with the supplier – the wrong supplier and two hard copy letters to Eau Claire corporate offices.

“Save Big Money at Menards” is because they don’t spend it on service representatives or customer service.

I'm a simple customer with a simple problem that Menards has botched so badly Menards picture should be next to the Urban Dictionary definition of FUBAR.

Item never shipped & charged for it

"This has been worst online purchase ever. I ordered moulding on May 28th. 48" long. I paid more in shipping than item which is fine. A few hours after ordering I get email that says item shipped and a tracking #. Great. After a week no item. FedEx website show a shipping label had been created but no item received by them to ship. I contact Menards to see if someone can help me located my item. Dan K responds after second email from me. Gives me a new tracking # and tells me item is shipped. I check it the next day it says same as before, label created but no travel. I check again 4 days later still same thing. I order item from another Vendor which arrives in 3 days. I finish my project. Its now June 13. I check FedEx website it STILL says label created will update when we receive item. I contact Dan K and fill out the online form to cancel my order. Dan K notifies me I can get a refund less shipping cost ....for an item that never shipped! I believe that is fraud. Don't buy from them online. They are the worst in my experience. "

"It happened to 3 times. Every time I went they have no items in stock. We asked employees and they never help. Quality is poor. I would rather go to Home depot or Lowes. Their rebate policy is scam too. "

Not good people

"I had a couple very negative experiences a couple months ago at Menards, but it was a party compared to 2 days ago. I bought a log-splitter and needed to pick it up at the back of the store. So, I thought I'd buy a couple small items and drive back and get it. Just like before, the line was deep, one register open in the middle of the morning. So I put the items back, it wasn't worth the wait. Sadly, the item had a rebate, so I went to the "rebate center" to get the form. There was a lady in front of me who also had a negative experience, three people at the counter, one person working. The other two were literally shooting the breeze. When I asked the one working guy, he told me it was in the original e-mail since I ordered it on-line to pick up at the store. No wonder the lady was mad, now I was mad, too. Three ignorant people at the customer service counter, not one who had the motivation to help anyone. Drove to the back to get the log splitter, and of course, it had to be forklifted. The forklift driver had little clue how his lift worked and managed to mess up the box it came in as well as scare me, I thought he was going to hurt the trailer I brought. Once I got it loaded, I was out of there like a shot. Bad people work at that store, too many instances of people who don't care and hate their customers."

Flooring

"Brought some of our flooring at Sedalia Mo store they didn't have enough but associates found us the rest at nearby osage beach store and handled all the online entries and also called them so they would have it ready for us to pick up. The flooring department was excellent in selection questions and anything we needed thank you "

Do NOT order on Menards.com

"Do NOT order anything on Menards.com. I ordered defective landscape lights. Menards Cust Serv told me to return lights for full refund. Menards sent refund in form of IN STORE credit that can ONLY be redeemed in the store. I live in Florida. The closest store is KY! Menards refused to refund the $130 to my credit card nor issue store gift card. Now I have no lights and no $130. MENARDS HAS A LICENSE TO STEAL FROM CONSUMERS! Wish I knew somebody in KY I can give this check to. It's worthless to me."

They stole my money, unethical business practices.

"I purchased $4100 of flooring. The whole process was not had issues. Something that should have taken 2 trips turned into 4 trips. The Assistant Manager offered me a $120 refund to compensate me for damaged materials. Then he took it back and said he wasn't going to take a loss on those 7 boxes even though they damaged them. Instead, he said he would return them to the manufacturer as defective. I thought that was dishonest. Please keep in mind this discount totaled 0.3% of the entire order. I decided to return the whole thing for a full refund. I was told returning would cancel out their rebate. Well They never sent me the rebate and they kept the total of the rebate out from the total refund. So they gate 100% of their product back after 5 trips of bad customer service and they kept $750.00 of my money stating they cant cancel the rebate, the rebate I still have not received. Very bad business and very dishonest of them. Don't shop there. PS this wasn't special order so according to their policy, I should have gotten a full refund especially since I never receive their rebate that they can cancel on the spot just like Kohl's does using. And Kohl's also uses a third party for their rebates."

"If I could rate this store a zero I would. The customer service is horrible. In dealing with Jana she was the most in professional person I’ve had to deal with in a long time. When I ask to speak with her manager he allowed her to continue with her attitude until I had to keep repeating “this is what I’m talking about” several times. Never shopping a Manatds store again!"

Absolutely HORRIBLE store . Just entering this damned [lace irks me -- NO CARTS!

"It isn't just AN experience -- it's ALL experiences. The place ****! There is a mumbo-jumble of mixed goods -- mostly junk that creates a maze of short shelved areas which means having to HUNT for most any item -- and WALKING! Many items are left without pricing. I just keep walking! There hiring practice means having people around at the lowest end of the hiring scale. Old people who belong in retirement homes -- not working a poverty wage at this DUMPY store. We NOW refuse to enter this lousy store!"

Worst company ever dealt with

"I am 65 years old, a US Navy Veteran, I started purchasing from Menards when they open a new store close to my home, purchase thousands on dollar. Nothing special about this company, but getting help if you need it forget it. So I started ordering on line and pick up at the store, so far so good. Now 2 weeks ago I order a Lawn Mower on line, went to pick up the following days. The Lawn Mower was out assemble .

Good for me, but when the associated help me loaded on the truck I notice smell of gas. so I checked out, the lawn mower had also oil it and look like is has been used, I requested a new one, they told me none available the last one, but I was assure if there any problem I can return it. Ok so far so good.

I still had my old lawn mower none propel that is working fine, but getting to old to push. So when decided to used the $399,00 one I purchase from Menard's thats when I run into problems, I put gas start after the 3rd try, so I try using in to cut grass that was cut 6 days ago with my push mower , kept cutting off again and again.

Look on line if I missed something, then I realized that is came with a grass side deflector, none was provided. I call the store spoke to lady, she advice me to take the gas out and return, I ask if the have another one NEW IN THE BOX, I gave her the model number NONE IN STOCK. I ask when they be in call back in a few days. OK

1 week latter took it back to the store, the service rep told me I need to call someone from lawn and garden, we waited 20 minutes before he came, a young man about 24's years old. He look at the lawn mower and ask me what the problem DUDE, I reply I am not a DUDE. He dint like my answer and ask me I put gas in the lawn mower, I reply thats the only way to operated is not electric is gas.

He got nasty telling me I knew is gas, but there is nothing I can do once you put gas in it, is yours. I reply that it was use, someone used before and smell gas and the put oil in it. Can I speak with a manager PLEASE, he is going to tell you the same wast of time., and just walk away, just like that.
At the point we where very upset, and ask another associate to call a manager, after waiting for another 15-20 minutes he came.

I just say talk alot better than to lean and garden manager, we explain the situation again, he first response was we do not back gas operated equipment once you put gas in it. I told him how we going to run and in this was NOT NEW is been used before, you can view the surveillance you have cameras all over your store, take a look what you gave us.

He told us to wait and he want in the office, half hour later he returns and told me the only option I have is to give a new lawn mower, I decline after the way I was treated, and we never purchase another thing again from menards, I ask for a receipt that we leaving the lawn mower there, he only try to give us the purchase receipt , I told him I do not need that I can print another on line.

Bottom line this is the Worst business I came across in my 65 years, rude and unprofessional not respect for older people, addressing them as DUDE. But looks like I am not alone , they are dozens and dozens of similar complains on like. Furthermore I email them and never got anywhere with them, I got one response and never reply to my other emails, neither you can talk to anyone at the headquarters . PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY , ESPECIALLY IF ARE ELDER PERSONAL LIKE US, NO RESPECT AND ONCE YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEM JUST FORGET ABOUT. LOOK AT ALL THE COMPLAINTS. BTW WHILE WE WHERE THERE ANOTHER CUSTOMER RETURNS A LAW-MOWER WITH SIMILAR ISSUES, WE HAVE PHOTOS AVAILABLE

Menard's A Confused Setup

"Have to enter one end for cart, exit other to pay. While bagging do not forget receipt while conveyor is sending next customers junk at you.. You'll get stiffed if you do. Don't forget rebate slip or you get stiffed. Walk back across parking lot in bad weather. Park on exit side no carts when you enter. Return with no receipt because of stupid setup they said I get 1 cent back. This store is designed to rip the consumer. Sales equal pennies or a dollar if lucky. Items you're looking for the staff tells and points you to main walkway. Not there. "
