"Fleet used to be a high point of any trip to town, just not the same any more. Really not worth stopping unless you just have time to waste. It used to be that you could count on FF to have what you needed, not typically the cheapest, but always a one-stop chance to get it all. Recently they have switched to piles of pre-packaged Chinese junk hardware, no more bulk hardware, just miles of low grade junk. empty shelves everywhere, lack of many basic items that were a FF staple. Some isles are packed with many pegs of the same item to fill space. Clothing now looks like it all came from overstock/return warehouses.
Staff has completely gone into the crapper. No experienced people around, just a pile of kids that couldn't find the front door without an exit sign above it. It's terrible. Not sure if other stores are like this, but it has been the norm at Brainerd for the last year and a half or so.
On the good side, I see Menards is starting to stock many items that were FF shopping before. Once Menards gets some sporting goods, I will never have to walk into the ghost of what once was a good store. "
"Today was my second bad experience in a month at Mills. It saddens me that this once great store has gone down hill so much. It literally is nothing more than a Kmart now, a crappy Kmart at that, and will go the way of Kmart too, guaranteed. They even have a lady doing stupid lame humor announcements while you shop, as if you're not annoyed enough already, just like Kmart. I was waiting for a blue light special. It **** on many levels now. Empty shelves, young idiots that run away instead of helping you, and errors between the prices shown on the shelf and what actually rings up and surprise surprise it's always higher at the cashier. It just feels cheap and crappy now. Going to Mills Fleet Farm used to be the highlight of my week. I loved shopping there. Not any more. It really bums me out. I actually feel kind of lost now that I've decided I'm not going there anymore. Like I said, it saddens me. All good things must end I guess."
"Placed an ordered online. Called to make sure they were sending it. 4 days later they canceled it without sending me an email or anything. Now I don't have time to purchase another one before the event. They can't even offer an apology. "
"I live 45 minutes from the location and from purchasing a gun and having the correct mounts put on for the scope I also purchased there, I made 4 different trips, and waited a combined 8+ hours to get the gun I bought from them. Service of one particular individual was good, but other employees did not help, they were clearly understaffed all 4 times and If you want a gun, and don’t have 8+ hours to wait, I’d recommend going someplace else. "
"Fleet farm falsely puts out ads,and never has the products advertised. This has happened more than one time, and has gotten worse. Fleet farm lost a loyal customer"
"I bought an electric fence charger (Model # EAC10M-Z), aluminum wire, and wood posts nail-on insulators. Price was much better than anywhere else on the web, and it arrived exactly as promised. I have no complaints."
"Fast shipment got it in 3 day !!!great protection of product. Well satisfied"
"I wish I would have seen these reviews prior to my misfortune. Wow my order was shipped saying it was complete and only 1 of the 4 were in the box, I called customer service and what a group of liters. Stay away and tell all your friends relatives and strangers."
"During the COVID-19 pandemic, I placed an online order with Fleet Farm only to have to the order cancelled without any information. Calling their toll free number, I learned that the product was out of stock at the store nearest me where I had schedule my curb-side pickup. With the help of their operator, I resubmitted the order at another location that still wasn't too far away. I received another email the next day stating that the order was fulfilled and is waiting for me to pick it up. I was so frustrated an hour later to receive an email stating that the order was cancelled per my instructions. I had NOT cancelled the order, the store had. Again, because they had run out of stock. Mills should get their act together. When I called the store, they were helpful in letting me know when they were scheduled receive the next shipment and the typical lag for when they could get it on the shelves. The communication through the order notifications is terrible. Mills doesn't state the true nature of why the orders are cancelled and states they are ready for pickup only to cancel them again. Inaccurate or incomplete information that is frustrating for customers because they have to call in to get the true story. Mills has to get their act together!"
"The Waite Park is unrecognizable, why would you move everything around after 40 years of everything in the same spot, I’m not the only one that stopped shopping at Mills Fleet Farm, who over bought this company is running it straight into the ground, they will be bankrupt in a year"
"Since the Mills family sold Fleet Farm, the Waite Park store has gone downhill fast. Last summer, I waited for nearly a month before the lawn fertilizer, that had been on sale, was restocked - even though I was at the store first thing in the morning on the first day of the sale. Last fall, I went to get spark plugs for my small engines that I was in the process of winterizing. Came to find out that the plugs I needed are no longer stocked - whereas I had always bought them at Mills in previous years. Decided to go online to purchase some items for turkey hunting. The website said the items were in stock so I ordered them. Shortly thereafter, I got an email indicating that my order had been cancelled. No other explanation, just cancelled. Item still shows as being in stock. Very disappointed with both the local store and the website. Also waited 3 weeks recently for “All Stock Feed” to become available. Just went to the store on January 14, 2020 and saw they are closing out Back Forty spices and sauces. Saw some close out tools as well. Past experience has shown me that when stores start closing out popular items, it isn’t long before they declare bankruptcy or go out of business. At any rate, this store and management is noticeably declining and I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Given the reviews posted on numerous other sites, I suspect it won’t be long before Fleet Farm is no more. Too bad, because the Mills family ran it very well. The corporation that bought the store is running it into the ground! I guess it’s just another chapter in the saga of “As the Stomach Turns!”"
"Used to be my favorite store. Hardware and atomotive always out of stock. Went through a spell where every time u went in store what u needed was moved now its out of stock. My drive to Menards is 15 minutes longer but menards still saves me time. At menards I walk up to what i need and is in stock. It is getting so bad parking lot looks empty. On the plus side u can usually park near the front doors. Guess its not just me that finds this once family owned, now New York owned business useless."
"On Nov 27th I ordered a gift for my grandson. Over $100.
He NEVER GOT IT. This company needs to go OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!"
"Ordered some overalls from the website. Received an email saying my order was placed and I’d be getting another email once my order was shipped. Two days after I placed my ordered I got another email saying my ordered couldn’t be placed. Yet wasn’t told why my order was cancelled. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before ordering. Now I’m out of a Christmas gift. "
"Order 4days later got email ordered canceled called customer service lady was rude this was Christmas gifts this **** will never do business again and no one I know will "
