"I ordered a Mobal 'Classic' phone. It was delivered promptly. After charging overnight, it would not turn on. After several calls to Mobal and continued lack of success, they sent me a replacement phone. It seemed to work OK, but I could not answer incoming calls. This no doubt was partly due to my arrested development when it comes to things technological. Today I finally got it to working.
On the positive side, the lady I talked to at customer service was very pleasant, patient and desirous of being helpful. I really appreciated the prompt replacement of the first - defective - phone. Also, the emails that I sent to customer service were answered promptly.
Not so good: 1. The defective first phone, of course. 2. A charge from Mobal of $7.95 for several of the unsuccessful attempts that I made to answer incoming calls a few days ago. (No calls were completed but I was charged as though they were.) I suppose I'll be charged again for unsuccessful attempts this morning, before finally figuring it out.
I'll have to suspend any further evaluation until I use the phone in France next month.
