"This is our second Mobal global phone. We purchased the first for a trip to Greece in 2008 and decided that we could use a second phone for our upcoming trip to France so we could talk to each other if we got separated.

We were very happy with the first phone. Never had a connection problem, voicemail worked very well, and the overall cost was quite reasonable. Customer service was always very responsive. We set the phone aside for three years and just recently took it out of storage, charged it up, and made a test phone call. Just as they advertised, the phone was still active even after all that time. We reactivated voicemail with no problem.

The new phone arrived quickly and is working fine. Voicemail setup was quite easy. I called customer service with a question before it arrived, and they were quick to answer and address my question.

I looked at other global phone offerings and found that other companies offer a much lower cost per minute, but with many strings attached - higher cost of SIM cards, expiration of minutes, expiration of phone numbers after periods of disuse, the need to top up accounts, etc. I find the very straightforward nature of the Mobal phone to be worth the extra per minute cost. I would hoghly recommend Mobal to any traveler."

"I was looked at the budget phone but after doing some reading on the Mobal website I chose the Classic option because I could use the phone here in the US and overseas - which allows me to leave my more expensive US cellphone home. I ordered my phone on Friday 9/30 via telphone and the customer service representative, Sue, was very helpful. When I explained that I needed the phone relatively quickly she assured me that the standard shipping would be adequate (she could have easily told me to upgrade to expedited shipping for almost double the price). I expected my phone to arrive on 10/6 but to my surprise it arrived on 10/3. The "free gift" of travel adapters came in very handy because I needed to use it here in the US to charge my phone prior to my trip. Had they not been included I would have had to go out and purchase an adapter because the charger is a European plug. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend Mobal to others. "

"I am not surprised that Mobal is classified as an "elite" merchant. I ordered an international cell phone on Sept 30 and was provided with a FedEx tracking link. This link indicated that I would receive my phone on Thursday, October 6, and it was being sent from Great Britain. Much to my amazement, the phone was delivered Monday morning, October 3. The tiny print on the instructions was difficult to read, but I was able to get a PDF through the excellent online support. Good tech support as well!"
