"Moddersmart / Primochill / Tyler Industries all the same story to deal with this company.
I wrote them through their web-form, called them, e-mailed them and nothing worked. Didn't get a single answer-reply from them. What's more their web pages are up and down randomly without any message what the hell is happening plus Primochill in the same status(development in progress) for about 7 months(just what I'm aware of this site) without any change being done. I'm tired of trying to reach them. I think that the amount of time I spent checking their bloody not working web pages is more than enough."

But overall, this was one of the worst online purchases I've had in a while. not THE worst, but it ranks up there. First off, and I understand, in the wake of a holiday and with CyberMonday they were probably busy, but from time of order to notification of fullfillment was unacceptable. notification of shipment was non-existent, last I saw on the website, the shipping/tracking number had been issued, and it wasn't through my preffered carrier, which I chose for a reason.
Overall, what will make me likely never return, and if these things change, I'll come back and give ModderSmart another shot:
1) Notifications! I never recieved one email! never! I want to know, in my inbox, when my product has been charged, when it has shipped, and like continuous status, much like ZZF, NE, TD, Amazon, etc. this was severely lacking here.
2) Wrong shipper!! I consider this important, because of how USPS in particular has delivered goods to me in the past, much like FedEx, looks like someone took it out on lunchbreak and played kickball with it for a while, I chose, and Paid for UPS for a reason, and it is I the customer that should reserve that right, if the seller changes that, especially when different on the invoice, than it is a severe violation in my, the consumers, trust, and this is where you definetly need to make changes to your operations!
3) I recieved an Amazon box....it's christmas....lots of boxes arrive, I had to open it to ensure that... A) it was in fact what I presumed it was, as it made no mention of moddersmart on there, and the tracking number I just don't remember them for the fun of it. Also B), since it went USPS, I felt the need to ensure the precious cargo was in tact. Considering it's a 600g chunk of copper, I think it should have required a little more padding than some crumpled paper, but to that effect, without opening the inner product package, it appears to be intact. I'll update after the 25th I guess if otherwise. but to Moddersmart, label your boxes as if they are from you!
Overall, I am an unhappy customer, and I feel future buyers need to know what lame experience I have just gone through,and that hopefully, Moddersmart will learn from my comments and adjust.
Considering the high reviews Moddersmart was recieving both here, through google, and others, I expected far more than what I got.
As to the notifications, if you were running late in shipping stuff, an email of apology, or a notification explaining the circumstances would have been greatly appreciated.

Update: After being contacted by a Member at moddersmart, I was..., I guess set straight on what occurred, I guess would be a good way of putting it.
There is still an issue regarding notifications, and for the record, I have checked my spam filters, and the resulting "buckets", and can not find any notifications, however, I was unaware of Moddersmarts relationship with Amazon, which explains the Amazon box, and the change in shipper. I feel in light of this information I owe moddersmart an apology, however, I would have like to have known in advance, and I'm still not happy that their Amazon vendor changed my shipping without consulting me first, although I am happy to have the product.
The purchase "aftermath" is so far positive, and if they can verify they'll get their notification system fixed, or updated, or whatever, I'll do business with them again :)

"Low price on Orange Yate Loon fans. I did not receive any notification on shipping status via email. Email to company was never returned. Phone call and message left was never returned. When I finally did get a hold of someone they told me that my fans were shipped and I would receive them tomorrow .They were well packaged. I am somewhat reluctant to purchase from this company again but I hope others have better luck. Would have like to have my emails and phone messages returned as a courtesy."

"Horrible Company! Worst online shopping experience ever. I placed order on April 3, 2009, payment via PayPal. I then immediately sent an email to the address listed in PayPal (****@****). I never got a confirmation email or any type of acknowledgement, yet my credit card and paypal accounts show that the payment did indeed go through.
It has been 8-9 days since the order was placed and I still have yet to receive any type of reply from these people. This is absolutely unacceptable. Do NOT buy from them!

"After ordering a different CPU cooler from a different reseller and waiting three days to find out it was out of stock (although the site said it was in stock), I ordered a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 from Moddersmart. The site not only said it was in stock, but also showed how many were on hand! I ordered in the early afternoon on Monday (and received a confirmation email) and it was shipped by the end of the day (and received a confirmation email with a tracking number). It arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged.

"I found these guys on Google Product Search. They were one of the first guys to have the Noctua U12P with the LGA1366 adapter. They also had the lowest price, and were the only guys who had the item in stock.
The website has something I wish more websites had. One of those textfields at the bottom of the order form to leave comments. Anyways, I ordered a new MoBo + ram + CPU from XXXXXX saturday/friday, and then I ordered from moddersmart Sunday.
Moddersmart beat XXXXX, and they shipped my heatsink by monday. I was very impressed. The heatsink was just as advertised and it was pretty well packaged.
My only complaint is that I couldn't find any thermal paste, and I their fan selection was kind of weak. They sorta lost out on a few impulse buys, but oh well.
Overall these guys have great shipping, care about your needs, and package things well, for a great price. I strongly recommend them."
"Moddersmart had a LGA1366 (Core i7) mounting bracket and the Noctua heatsink/fan I wanted when the Core i7 launched. It seemed like every other store was out of stock, didn't have it in stock yet, or just didn't carry it in the first place.
I was a little worried at first because they're a drop-shipper and they have a fee for cancelling orders (even before they're shipped), but I ordered anyway on Monday morning. They shipped the next day and my order arrived on Friday, just in time with the rest of my components for me to put together my new Nehalem system."
