"I was referred to Monarch Computer by a friend of mine who just bought several computer parts from them. I placed my order on the 7th of August hoping it'll get proccessed by the 8th, and possibly shipped out by 9th or 10th. On the 8th I got an email saying my my order is being reviewed. And on August 9, I got another e-mail saying "Your order has now been submitted to the warehouse for processing." I went to check my account and sure enough they've already deducted money off of my account, which was fine by me as long as they ship it by that date. I emailed them that same day when my order will ship cause I need it by Friday, I didn't get any reply. Next day on the 10th, I emailed them again. Again no reply... I called them, the guy who answered the phone told me they don't give out Order Status over the phone and I have to email ****@****, so I did AGAIN.. Finally got fed up of waiting I cancelled my order, and not even 5 minutes later I get an email back saying Order Cancel. So I wrote them back an email asking why my account was charged if they haven't even bothered shipping the items I ordered, ofcourse just like before I didn't get any reply.
Today I wrote them another email asking if they plan on giving me a refund and the guy's reply was "You have been refunded in full, it will appear on your account shortly." Is it back in my account? No..
I have no idea how a company can charge someone's Credit/Debit Card without shipping any of the purchases. That's very unprofessional and almost fraudulent.
Company has real good price but don't think it's worth the headaches. "

" I bought a combo deal from Monarch which turned into an interesting situation, but it all worked out in the end. I understood that the combo deals take a little extra time to get together and Monarch gives an estimated shipping time for that. A few days after the extra time went by, I was starting to get annoyed since this was all I needed to get my computer going. I e-mailed Monarch and they said they were working on it, which wasn't really what I wanted, I would have liked to have it shipped then. I had a regular ground shipping, but by the time they shipped they upgraded me to overnight for free! I was extremely happy with that because it arrived on time with everything that was necessary.
Later a capacitor fell of my motherboard which I was not happy with. I really liked the board and just wanted another. I called up Monarch and got an RMA on it no problem (I also had the $30 extra warranty on it). I sent it back with the shipping label that came with the whole package and got a new motherboard in a little more than week! I am extremely please with their service overall now. I was annoyed at the beginning because I tend to be impatient, but they compensated very well.

"Monarch sale’s staff was very knowledgeable and quick to reply to all my questions about configuring a custom system. System received was well package (double boxed), cable tie-offs were clean, all extras/manuals from each component were also included (got cool T-shirt from BFG), and all the latest drivers were installed. They meant ready to run out of the box. Only one small problem, the harddrives slipped off the rails during shipping and I had to open the case and pry them out. That’s not a Monarch build problem, it’s an Antec Super LANBOY aluminum case issue, being there is no locking screws for those rails.
When your current system dies, waiting for a new custom system is agonizing. There’s an 8-13 day build time for non-rush systems, and they used all 13 days, plus 2 more to build mine. They made up for the delay by upgrading me to 2 day shipping. Which, I believe still got my system to my home 1 day earlier then I expected. A+ for customer service. System may have shipped a little late, but least they didn’t cut corners to meet it. I ordered a high quality professional built (burned-in) gaming rig and that’s exactly what I got. A have researched Alienware, Cyberpower, Voodoo PC, Dell, and Falcon rigs, and in my opinion you can get a faster system for less, with a build quality that exceeds or equals those overpriced systems. This was my first Monarch custom system and will most certainly not be my last. I would highly recommend Monarch to anyone shopping for a new custom system.

"Very restrictive shipping policy - will not ship to address not listed with debit card (debit cards don't have that feature); will not allow delivery except signed by purchaser; will not allow delivery even with note with signature by purchaser. Very poor packing - my harddrive came in very large box for a harddrive, with VASTLY insufficient packing inside. Will not be purchasing from them again - it's just not worth the small amount saved over others with reasonable shipping policies, and good packing abilities."

"Brilliant service. I don't want to get into specifics, but when there was a very minor problem they went above and beyond to fix it - without even asking me. And when I called in with a question, I was transferred to a knowledgeable individual RIGHT AWAY, and he knew exactly what he was talking about. No "Uhm"s, or "Let me look something up". This place will have -all- my online business from now on, for their customer service alone. Not only that, but the product I purchased was a fair bit cheaper than any other place I could find it. I've dealt with many online retailers before, and I've never been impressed enough to track down a consumer review sight and signup just to give them the credit they deserve. But for Monarch, I did."
"After talking with some people, my opinion has slightly changed. Good marks for price, quality, and flexibility in options. Bad marks for customer service and communication. From what I understand, it was a particularly busy time when I ordered my system, but nevertheless I must grade on what was going on at the time. I say again that this was a SYSTEM purchase which in my opinion is entirely different that a combo or parts order.
If you don't mind waiting around a bit for your system then Monarch is not so bad a company. If you want something sooner, then I would recommend going elsewhere. Quality is very good, with the tie off job adequete, but not exceptional. I actually had to redo most of it so that I could relocate drives in my system. You might be able to tell them where to put drives so that the cabling can be neater. "
"I bought my first barebones system ever and some high end parts to build myself a pretty good computer. I can say that if I do it again, Monarch is the place to go. First of all the people are extremely friendly and helpful. After placing my order I realized that a quieter computer was really important to me. I called and spoke with Joe and he helped me make the changes necessary. Rob took the changes even after my order was started and made sure they were implemented. I ended up having some problems when the system was fully built and called and spoke with Kevin who indicated maybe my DVD drive was a problem with motherboard I was using. As soon as I changed it, things went smoothly. I had bought a system that had an AMD X2 processor and wanted X2 stickers for my system. They weren't available when I ordered the system. I wrote back and Danny answered saying he would send them to me when they were available. He wrote back 2 more times saying he had not forgotten me and then sent them when they came in. What more can I say. Monarch was a very pleasant surprise and I highly recommend them."
