"Claim to price match but won't price match total. Hidden fees not negotiable. Others cost less after their fees but Monro doesn't care.
Claim to match tire prices, but won't match Costco. I was encouraged to get a price at Costco and come back so Monro could beat it by 10%, but the story changed when I came back. This is less than our cost. I need a written estimate. Would not accept the hand written estimate they gave me. Costco simply cannot print out the type of form Monro MUST have to do a price match according to the shop at Monro. Costco verified by phone to the shop manager. Monro >> NOPE. Not good enough. Why did Monro send me to get a price there? They should stop lying about their price match policy.
Hidden 10% shop fee is based on gross amount before any coupon or discount. Example: $15.99 Oil Change coupon means I pay $23.62 out the door after $2.90 oil filter recycle fee, 10% of $32.99 (gross oil change pricing), & sales tax. $3 higher out the door than Car-X for fees with a $15.99 coupon being used. This gouging of customers with hidden fees needs to be rallied against. I am boycotting Monro and telling everyone I can about their practices. Won't see another dime from me."

"Took my car in for oil change, front brakes, and 2 valve stems another company incorrectly replaced. Received a call a short time later to advise my rotors were not in great shape, and was given the option to replace today, or in the near future. The price offered was fair, and I was very pleased they took the time to call me and let me know while the car was on the rack! All the work was done in a reasonable amount of time, and when we went back to pick up, the tech went over the work done in detail. I've gone to Monro for several oil changes, and have always had the best experience with their techs! I've tried other local shops, NOPE........sticking with Monro! They've definitely earned my trust, and my respect!!!"
