"my daughter and son-in-law live in Massachusetts and I came through there a few times and have had problems with my car and none of the places have helped me as much as Monroe they are courteous respectful they quote you a price and they never take it once they quoted they are honest dependable and they mean what they say and they stand by their word they even will go the extra mile and personally take you if you need a ride after you drop off your car how nice is that I recommend using them of all the places in Pittsfield North Adams and here in Adams"

"Monro is the best! When I had a flat on a snowy day I asked the dealership for assistance since I just bought the car there. Turns out they put on tires that had a horrible warranty that did not cover road hazard. When they refused to help I went to Yokohama's website and searched under tire dealers in Lansdale and Dave was my first call! He was very helpful and very informative through out the whole process. He offered me road hazard protection on the life of all 4 of my tires and permanently plugged the tire that had the flat. I would definitely go to this shop again and thank Dave and his crew for seeing me on such short notice and not taking all day long with my new car."

"I was looking for a new mechanic because I was not happy with my experience at my car dealer, so I went to Monro (store 270) by recommendation of my mother. The service from Casey at this location was fantastic! It felt like I was talking to a friend. He helped me find good tires on a budget and explained all the work that was done. I will definitely return to Monroe for my next car-maintenance need."

"Only have them do oil changes. Incompetent with any other service work/repair.

They performed the oil change to my satisfaction and without any issues. The main issue I have is when they told me that i needed a new front lower ball joint. I asked them to quote me how much it would cost to replace. the quote they provided me came to a little over $1,100. It also included replacing the tie rod and control arm. I told them that I was going to have my buddy that owns a tire shop do the work, as he only charges me his cost for parts. Afterward the manager (Bryan Davis) said that he would do the job for $650. That's a $450 difference! Told him that I would let him know. Took my car to my buddy today that has been doing automotive work for over 30 years. The issue was not the ball joint that Bryan tried to convince me of, but the tie rod end. I got the problem fixed for less than $200. I'm in sales and I get the up-selling, but either Bryan or the tech didn't know what they were talking about. I really take offense to them trying to sell me a $1100 service, when all that was needed was a $200 fix. I will definitely let everyone know what type of shop Monro is in Noblesville, IN is, and will no longer take my car there for anything other than a simple oil change. They have lost all respect and I don't think they know what they are doing other than oil changes. I don't want anyone else to be ripped off there!

1/22/15 - UPDATE:
Update: The manager called me back this morning and asked me a few questions about what was done to my car at the other place. He didn't seem to understand that other place where I took my car for service, the owner has worked on cars since he was a kid and is now 62. He's worked on my cars before and I'm a personal friend of his. He gives me the truth. Bryan tried to discredit my guy...He was very short and disgruntled over the phone call. Monroe has now lost all of my business including oil changes, as I fear there will be "mysterious issues" that develop if I take my car to Noblesville, IN Monro again. My mechanic showed me the ball joint in question, and there were no issues with it.

"I just had an oil change done today 1/20/15. In and out in less than 20 minutes. Very satisfied customer. Manager informed me of the different types of oil to use since my 2000 Jeep Cherokee has 146,000 miles on it. He recommended a synthetic blend oil because of the high miles. Very knowledgeable people at Monro in Glenmont, NY. I have 4 vehicles serviced at Monro regularly, everything from oil changes to brakes, mufflers, tires and engine work. All work completed in a timely fashion. Again, very satisfied and will continue to use their services."

"The shop I use (Middletown, Ohio,, Grand Ave.) is usuallypretty good at the work done but sometimes not so, I think becausethe guys quit too fast to have a confidence level withcustomers. The managers mus hate ttheir jobs becausethis sho;p has had like four in the past six months, all of which tells methey don't like their jobs,etc. My last job -- brakes -- was not done correctly since I had to bringcar back because the brakes got too soft(pedal; to the floor) only twoweeks later."
