"I wish that I had read the reviews about monsterscooterparts.com before I made a purchase from them. If I had, I would've saved myself a significant amount of money and a lot of headache.
I am a multiple Amputee with no legs, and at least part of each of my 10 fingers haven't been amputated. I use a Jazzy Select Elite scooter every day, and the armrests have become brittle and cracked. Acting upon the recommendation of somebody who used to work on.Jazzy scooters, I gave this business a call the other day to inquire about getting new armrests for about my scooter. To say that the person who answered the phone, the other day was rude and condescending would be an understatement. However, after crawling underneath my scooter to find the serial number, he told me which armrests that I needed to order. I ordered them and paid for shipping because I had a tradeshow to go to tomorrow.
When the parts arrived, I happily started to put them on my scooter. However, I quickly found out that they are much too wide to fit on the scooter. Not only, are they a few millimeters wider than the ones that came from the factory, they also have a lip of nylon that has been pressed in the heater that sticks out several millimeters all the way around them. I called to ask for help and this time another person, also quite rude and condescending, told me that these are indeed the proper parts and sometimes they are hard to get in. I took my calipers to them while he was on the phone and sent him photographs to his cell phone that showed that the arrests are indeed several millimeters wider than the ones that came from the factory. They also are wider than the tray into which they are supposed to fit.
He told me that I could try stuffing them in and bending up the excess nylon and I told him that I had already tried that, and there was no way it was going to fit. The photographs showed that it would not fit. That some people try to trim off the excess nylon and I said I'm afraid to do that because if I mess them up, then I can't return them. He told me to be careful.
While on the phone, on a recorded line, I tried to trim it, and ended up slicing the nylon in such a way that it ruined one of the armrests. The young man told me that he would get a supervisor on the phone and put me on hold. A couple minutes later he came back and said that since I had been told on a recorded line that some people tried to tuck it and that I needed to be careful, I could not return the merchandise.
I replied that I would be writing reviews and doing YouTube videos about the service, or lack there of that his company provided, and that I would be initiating a chargeback on my credit card. He replied by telling me that he hoped my day would be better.
Take a look at the photographs I've provided. The factory installed armrest is Bearwood on the bottom, and the ones I received from this company have vinyl on the bottom. They also have a lip that is about 3 to 4 mm wide all the way around them. The photos show that the new part in no way will fit into, the scooter. Based upon the significant number of reviews of this company, I'd say stay away from them, at all costs.
Tip for consumers:
Run away from them."
"They sent me the wrong product, made me spend more than 1 hour and a half sending photos via email because the chat wasn't working, and continued to insist that it was the correct product, and after I told them several times that it wasn't the right product and send a photo showing the difference of the size, they finally apologized for the "CONFUSION" which was actually an MISTAKE, recurring as you can see in all these reviews. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! If it wasn't enough, making me waste more than an hour and a half of my day to resolve THEY MISTAKE, they want me to pay for return shipping and wait 3 weeks for a refund.
MY FIRST BAD REVIEW EVER, I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE IN AN ONLINE SHOPPING.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I WILL TAKE THE LOSSES BUT I WILL NOT PAY TO RETURN THEIR MISTAKE AND STILL WAIT UP TO 3 WEEKS TO GET MY MONEY BACK."

"I purchased a wheelchair /scooter cover weeks in advance of a trip we would be taking that was a 4 hour drive. The heavy canvas held up well on the rainy days I used it when I picked up my child at school and used the ramp and cover but when we drove to myrtle beach , the cover was threadbare by the time we arrived at the hotel. I has this wrapped down with searcher straps, bungee cords and secure so it would r come off not have any air get to it to damage it but by the time we get theee it was threadbare.
The company’s reply…..
Not their problem and it’s out of the 30 day warranty period.
They claim it was wind torn and when I tell you I had this thing strapped down it took 15 minutes to undo it in valet to remove the cover.
Do not purchase or do business with them. Just wish I read the review here first ."
"On 1/11/23 I ordered online a front strut from my old jazzy 614. The website did say orders over $99 would be free shipping. My item was 114 and when it went through I was charged the 14.99 for shipping. I called the customer service and was told it was a special order. I told them no where it was indicated that it was a special order but they said because they had it out of stock they had to order it directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, it is now considered a special order. The very same day a couple of hours later I called to cancel the order and was told that they would have to see if they can still do that. I had just been a matter of hours. They told me that they would get back to me the next day and they could then credit my account the full price. The next day I didn't hear from them so I called and was told by the woman who answered the phone that she was not going to argue semantics with me and that she didn't know or understand how their system worked, but she understood that it was considered unfair to me but there was nothing that she could do. I told them you took my money right away but you can't cancel the order and send my money back right away That is not fair business practice. I found the exact part on a different site for $30 compared to their 114. Guess I'm going to have to continue to contact them or contact my bank and dispute the charges. Meanwhile, I'm home bound because I do not have a working electric wheelchair. Customer service of this company has no idea what's going on and they are mean and condescending. If you need a part for your wheelchair, find a different company"
"Very very unprofessional business and if you ever have your phone call answered by Hope or any other front desk clerks, good luck! They no longer stock the tire that I specifically ordered and paid for so they decide to send me out something totally different which will not work. Clever and ST tires are totally different and because of me, I had to educate them of why they're not the same. The website clearly states the difference between the two but after schooling the company they are going to update their website that they no longer sell the St Tire. It is two days before Christmas and I've been waiting over a week for these tires to be received. I come to find out they do sell the tire with the wheel assembly and asked for them to send out those two and cover the difference and they basically laughed at me. Now I have to go out of my way to ship back to them. They seem to be so proud of themselves for covering the cost of shipping and restocking fees as if they are doing me a favor. Good luck Monster Scooter Parts, I see your other reviews and you're going to put yourself at a business."
"I paid for fast shipping not knowing I was less than fifty miles away from them. Their bad shipping habits have put my in a position where I have paid for fast shipping and my package has been sitting in the FedEx distribution center for three days and won't be delivered for two more...and oh yeah...I can't go pick it up. I informed the fool on the phone that I maintain more than a dozen minibikes and I would no longer buy parts from them if they were unable to rectify the situation. They didn't seem to care about the lost sales at all. Steer clear of these Clowns. I live in Colorado, and I would rather my state miss out on your tax dollars...at least in this case."
"Ordered part June 23, they charged credit same day. Now 6 weeks later part is listed as "processing". I called them on July 27, spoke to Lisa, asked her to cancel order and refund money. She said she would and credit card would be refunded in 2-3 days. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no refund. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS!"
"I ordered a few parts for my kids scooters on Apr. 17 the items we’re supposed to arrive on April 27th. Never heard anything on shipping. So I contacted them on Apr. 28th and spoke with a representative who informed me that it was a warehouse error. He apologized profusely and let me know that he pulled the items while we were on the phone, and that they would be shipped out first thing the next morning. A week later I’d still not heard anything concerning shipping. I tried to contact them two other times that day, I waited on the phone for 30 minutes for no one to answer. I also emailed them! When I didn’t hear anything back. I waited two days to hear something back from the email. When I didn’t hear anything back I escalated to PayPal. I tried to call them one more time a few days after, and a representative answered, she blatantly let me know that we had twisted their arm by escalating to PayPal and asked me to cancel the claim. I told her that I cancel the claim as soon as the issue was resolved. She then let me know that she could no longer assist me and that she hoped that PayPal could resolve my problem. Today is May 25th and I still don’t have a refund or items! I’ve never dealt with a company like this before, and will certainly never ever deal with this company again. I hope that they get enough terrible reviews that they have to shut down. Do you self a favor and do not use this company. You’ll have less in your hands and certainly less in your pocket."
"This is a horrible company. Their website glitched when I was placing items in my cart and the order was placed without my permission. It was shipped to the wrong address, wrong items sent, and customer service was very rude.
Luckily my bank took care of this because even after shipping the item back they would not refund my money.
"
"They sent me an email advertising a specific item for certain price. Every time I click the link it was at a higher price. I sent them an email questioning this and they told me the item was no longer on sale even though I had received another email that same day again advertising the item for the same price. They said somehow I was the only person who got the email and it was a mistake. They refuse to honor the price on the email they sent me that day. This seems like false advertising to me. It was only a five dollar price difference but I feel like it’s the principle."
"I ordered a part, before it had been shipped out ,I realized it was incorrect. I asked them to pull my order , they refused now are charging me a full refund charge.
Never buy from you his Company.
Buyer Beware"
"I have ordered 2 times from monster. The first time the parts I got that were for a 70cc baja were all wrong and none of them fit. These were parts that were listed on their website for that model. The second time was for a 125cc baja. I ordered a carb and a cdi modual. The carb worked good but the cdi didn't work at all and proved to be defective. The crappy thing is YOU have to pay the return shipping even when their part is defective. So the cost of doing this makes it uneconomic to even send it back. The other thing is they only post reviews that are favorable. I reviewed 5 items and only 1 was posted because I gave it 5 stars the others were not posted because I only gave them 1 star. Now is that honest retailing, I think not. "
"I bought a replacement battery pack for my wife's scooter. It never charged properly and died completely after only about 6 charge cycles. Despite being charged with an original equipment charger, which I have used with the original battery that continues to work perfectly after nearly 3 years, the charging light never went off when charging this battery. This resulted in the battery getting hot, misshapen and dead. I returned the batteries under warranty (incurring a shipping cost over $50) and received a second set of batteries, which died just as quickly. Monster refused to honor the warranty a second time. As a result, I am out over $300 for batteries that provided almost no service. I am only buying batteries from the scooter manufacturer from now on.
Beware of positive reviews from customers who have only used their batteries for a short time. My experience (twice!) is that they sell defective junk that does not last and that they do not stand behind their products. "
"web site **** for returning part- order number there but e- mail wrong so shut out"
