"Love the variety but it's difficult to order in winter. I try to look at the forecast when ordering in winter and won't if there are sub zero Temps. Weather was going to be acceptable when I placed the order with a heat pack but 3 of the 5 plants showed signs of being frozen when I unpacked them. The heat pack was warm but stuck in one corner of the box. I'm hoping I can bring them back to health. "

"I used mountain crest gardens so many times. Never have I ever been dissatisfied. I waited for the Variegated String of Hearts to become available, when it did I quickly placed my order with a heat pack (I usually don't order in winter) and even paid an extra $30 for over night shipping. I placed my order on February 8th, in hopes to receive this order for a valentines day present for my mother. I didnt receive my order until February 14th. Not only was the order EXTREMELY late, my poor plants were not handled with care. Every ounce of soil uprooted out of its container and all over the box. The heat pack frozen solid and both plants DEAD and in pieces. I know the blame of handling of the shipment lies with the shipping company, so I called mountain crest and was issued a refund, thankfully, but then I was quickly dismissed by the customer service representative. Even with receiving a refund, what is making me want to order from mountain crest in the future? I am upset I was empty handed for my mother on valentines day and not even a replacement was offered. Sorry, but maybe you should look into who is handling your product because I am very hesitant to order anything from here again.

"I ordered 13 succulents and most came looking great. Two of them appear to have initiated a sprouting limb but it was dried up/crispy already upon arrival. One of the succulents was snapped in half in the box so I will see if this one can be refunded or replaced. Some of the succulents look healthy centrally, but have dried/browning parts peripherally. Overall I understand the challenges with mailing succulents and I’m pleased with the experience so far. I will likely be ordering again in the future. "

"First, I love the mix that I received, including the random unmarked one. I would have love a bit more detail on the unknown one but maybe that is the point?

Second, despite the plants themselves being retained within their nursing pots, the dirt did not. It was everywhere! A couple of plants were toppled upside down essentially exposing their roots. Fortunately it has been about 1 month since making my order and there is no sign of deterioration of any leaves. If there is a better way to contained the dirt within their pots, this would be a total 5 star.

And for those concerned about shipping into the colder areas of the nation or season, spent an extra $5 for the heat pack and my succulents have survived. Hope this helps! "

"I loved the fact that I was able to pick out the color and shape of my succulents. My order was delivered very quickly, which was nice and convenient. Although, some of my succulent plants were more so just dirt in a planter, rather than an actual plant. I ordered 30 succulents, and 4 plants came with a very small bud/plant, and looked more like soil in the planter. I was upset about this because I couldn’t use these particular succulents for my baby shower favors, and had to throw them out. Other then that, I was happy with the other succulents that came because they were full in size and a unique variety. I just wish my entire order was like this."
