"Shipped two (2) coolers in a row that either were damaged upon
packaging at warehouse, or maybe in transit. Most likely just
banged up and shipped out.
Then had to ask refund to be processed on one returned for
credit, and spent my time packing up and shipping defective
coolers back to MR. Cool. This was last year, 2 engine oil coolers.

2 years ago I bought 2 transmission oil coolers, that shipped unpainted due yo production being behind, I was supposed to get
credit for having to paint them myself. Anyhow, installed both
2 years ago, and I just discovered one leaking !

These coolers are the cheapest crappy quality you can buy,
you risk destroying your transmission/engine using the junk
MR. Cool makes and ships damaged ones on top of it.

I will pay the extra to get OEM, or any other aftermarket brand.

You have been warned, these are the worst quality products
and you risk destroying your boat components.

Complete lies. The 2 transmission coolers were shipped unpainted, and I was told this was due to being behind on production, I had to have them as I had mechanic scheduled, Mr. cool said they would credit me for unpainted coolers, never did. Painted them myself.
Update on this defective transmission cooler: last week mechanic and I replaced the manifolds, when we went to remove the raw water feed hose the complete end cap fell off the Mr. crapcooler trans cooler !
Mechanic has never seen this ! 2 year old cooler, corrosion all around end cap fitting ! I called the no#1 boat trans rebuilder in San Diego about this
and he said Mr. cool is worst quality cooler on the market.
Had I not caught this I would of faced a rebuilt transmission.
Had I started the engine, the cap would of blown off, sprayed salt water all over the engine compartment, overheated engine and transmission,
And if overheat sensors either malfunctioned or not warned in time,
not only blown a trans but also my motor ! At the very least caused
A engine shutdown and salt water everywhere.

My mechanic is warning others who have Mr. cool coolers to remove
immediately.

Again, on the 2 OIL coolers, separate issue...... I was told this damage had never happened before, had to make numerous pictures to convince them
Of damage, and I had to insist on small compensation for my time $25,
And then had to remind them of the credit they owed me, since they
conveniently "forgot"
So now they say they had a lot of damaged coolers ! First they tell me they NEVER had a problem, now lots of shipping problems, good luck fellow boaters ! I pulled the one Mr. cool oil cooler installed last year and sent it to the recycler. Bought a new OEM one, and installed. Do I like to waste money ?
Of course not, but I can not risk damage to my motor.
