"12/18/14 - I ordered from Music123 for the first time. I placed order online for drum heads. I got a email back saying they wouldn't ship til 12/26/14. I called and was going to cancel order, but Fletcher helped me fine drums that were a better quality and charged me the same cost as the drum heads I ordered online. Today I received my package and I am very pleased. Fletcher was so nice to deal with and I will call him back when I need anything else for my son's drums.
Merry Christmas to all. Thanks Fletcher."
"It looks like things still haven't gotten any better even in 2014. I ordered a REES FLATSICKLE HARP (white) through Amazon.com and Music123.com was the seller. The harp arrived in a cardboard box filled with foam peanuts the day after Thanksgiving. Harp was undamaged, but important enclosures were missing! The harp was listed as "Used - Like New" (Amazons definition) for this category is: "original packing and instructions are included". Rees Harps ALWAYS ships their harps with a TUNING WRENCH and Mel Bay instruction book - - these were missing from this shipment. I could not use the instrument immediately and all strings were FLAT by at least two notes. I had to order a Tuning Wrench and book directly from the Manufacturer and wait another week for these items to arrive.
Music123 offered $20 credit on my (Music123) account, which didn't exist, since it was ordered through Amazon.com. They still have not replied as to WHERE that credit exists, since it is NOT on the Music123 account that I signed up for ."
"This company shipped me a bashed in guitar and then felt it was worth $75. This is a Steel Guitar and must have been dented by a sledge. Photos online showed pristine and shipping box was undamaged. I tried to resolve for $115 and will cost much more. Auto Body to fix dent and then total re-chrome of guitar. They said return for money back but their policy is No Returns for Demo product. Do not purchase from this company. My friends and fans are appalled with this company..."
"I ordered what I thought was a used electronic drum set from them. What I got was the pads only. The photograph on EBay showed a full electronic drum set. In my opinion, this is completely misleading. They asserted, when I called them, that it was clear that this was only a "pad set." As far as I understand, a "pad set" is an electronic drum set. I called them and they offered to sell me the missing parts for several hundred dollars. In my opinion, if you show a picture of something that you are selling, it means that you are buying what is in the picture. I don't know if it was deliberately misleading, but I certainly feel misled. It was discovered when it was opened on a child's birthday, as a defective birthday present. I don't think I need to explain that there was a high level of disappointment."
"If you have another option buy elsewhere. I purchased an item on 10/19 and my card was charged twice. I called several days after the order when I noticed the problem and they told me to wait a day because sometimes the banks pre-authorize your card and then put the money back..but this wasn't the case. Basically, my card was pre-authorized two times but the amount was only reconciled back to my account once. When I spoke to customer service they told me they had to turn it over to their "verification" manager who would try to get the extra pre-authorization refunded but it could take 3-5 business days. So basically I have $300 being held hostage for something that was clearly a mistake on their part.
I always order from Sweetwater and have never had a single issue with them. The only reason I ordered from someone else was because it was a discontinued item that Sweetwater didn't have in stock anymore. Lesson learned. Music123 will never see another dime of my money again."
"WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS. Ordered a small audio board. Decided it wasn't the right one. Called to return the unopened item. Customer service said "There is downloadable software in that item so no returns. I'm having to go through Amazon and file a dispute with VISA.... "
"The shipping is slow, and the returning polity are worst. You need to pay extra money for shipping back... I prefer Sam Ash better."
"I'm very unhappy with the order process I recently went through. I ordered a used (but expensive) item on 9/17/13. The web site stated that my order would be shipped within 24 to 48 hours. Then I got an email stating my item had been backordered. The order status on the website said the same thing. I called and the rep at Music123 agreed this did not make sense since this was a used item. He said it was being shipped. Then on 9/24 with no change on the order status on the website I emailed and called again. They finally responded that the order was still yet to be shipped. I emailed again and asked why the delay? They never responded. A shipping label was finally created on 9/24, and I finally got the item delivered on 9/30. It was in OK condition, but was extremely dirty! They obviously couldn't be bothered to clean it before they sent it. The lesson I learned is that I should have paid attention to the negative ratings they had already received on resellerratings.com and never done business with them in the first place. I had ordered the item in plenty of time for it to arrive for a couple important weekend gigs, but thanks to Music123's screw-up that did not happen."
"I ordered an acoustic guitar case from Music123 via Amazon. The product arrived amazingly fast, well packaged and in excellent condition."
"I've purchased about five items from Music123 in the last year or so. Every order came fast to my door and in perfect order. The last item purchased was the Rogue violin bass. I was a little concerned about this order, but it came in three days in perfect condition. Who ever packed it did a great job! I've never had to call their customer service so on this I have no opinion."
"Worst customer service. Ordered cheap guitar, never received. Refused replacement or refund. Customer service lied and said package received."
"I want to say a good thing for Music123. I bought a Fender 2012 American Standard Precision Bass V and it was sold as "Used" because it was a return without the original box and they could not charge full new price. Not a second, if you were wondering. Just a box? No big deal with me, I was going to play the bass, not the box anyway. So, it comes well padded in their own box with all hang tags and strap and cord, all the stuff was there. The bass is great, but that is not the purpose of this review. They described it very well, shipped very quickly and lost money because of a technicality I would have missed. So, very happy with them. I have bought thousands of dollars of gear in the last five years but this was the best deal of all. "
"I've recently noticed Music123 is using false and misleading advertising to tempt shoppers to buy from them.
They claim to have a price guarantee and display a price comparison box on their site for this purpose.
What I've noticed is that the prices they compare to are always more expensive or equal to their price.
In addition they compare non similar products and claim they are cheaper.
This is misleading and is bad practice.
I wrote to them about this but never heard back. It just comes to show what desperate measures some retailers will make to make a sale. Lie!!!!!!
I would think twice before purchasing anything from music123.com.

"placed an order for 523$, they have cancelled, because my information do not match up, when i checked i had everything right, i called them again, they said sorry and gave me another order #, i waited 2 more days, nothing again, called them talked with 3 people, no results
so bad customer service, so bad service at all, you have to be a very silly to buy anything from them
everytime when you talk with some one they saying "sorry its our company policy, sorry its our company policy" "
"Do not buy from them they keep your money than cancel your order."
