"Worst customer service ever! Rude, unhelpful agents! The local store is great, but the company in general is awful. I hate giving them my business!"
"We purchased a bell kit in September to be picked up at the local store. We show up and the manager gives me the item but I notice that it is a used loaner and not the brand new one. So I asked him and he says “oh I didn’t know you bought a new one— we only have loaners. We will reimburse you and you should buy it online from music and arts.” So we bought another one for $275. And then waited and waited and waited for the reimbursement for 4 months during which time the “pending” charge goes through and we get a bill in the mail with a late fee penalty. We go back to the store multiple times and are told it will be fixed. Eventually that manager quits and the saga continues with the new manager. We finally told the credit card company not to pay. And then Music and Arts starts calling me for the money!! Insanity. "

"If possible I would give Zero stars. One of the worst customer care services I have ever experienced.
We returned the Instrument to the school and they still charged us continuously when we contacted they said that school is not responsible and its our responsibility to return.
We contacted school to get the Instrument back but they misplaced the Instrument. In the mean time contacted the customer care and asked to stop the rental charges and we will pay
the full amount and they said to cancel and pay the full amount it will take 3-4 business days and in the mean they again charged the rental charge for the Instrument. We were contacting both school and Music and arts to resolve this issue and it took nearly 4 months to resolve this and every month they charged me the rental fee.
They were not ready waive the charges and the Customer representative is so rude she doesn't even have patience to listen and she is not ready to escalate the call.
I would never ever recommend anyone to buy or rent devices from this store.

"I would never recommend this company. I had an agreement with Ken Stanton music and had been making payment plans on a Lease 2 Own. We were under the impression our instrument was paid off. Come to find out Music & Arts took over the contract. Redid it and now saying I owe for another 3 years when I should be done with this thing. Their customer service is terrible and should be fired immediately. Outsourced too from the 3 interactions. Also the one Rep did not submit my escalations so it sat forever. I had to call back in to get help. Do not buy from them. They are not helping me resolve this issue. If anyone from Music & Arts wants to reach out to me. Go for it!"
"We returned our instrument to the school and they continued to charge our credit card after the return. I have called customer representatives several times and they refuse to do anything about it. The rental was sent to the school and we were told to return it to school but they refer to the contract that says one line about needing to call them when we return the instrument to the school. It's very confusing and deceptive."
"Somehow was added to their mailing list. I've clicked unsubscribe and there is NO WAY to unsubscribe without emailing them.
Unacceptable. I've emailed unsubscribe, yet I still get at least 1 if not more emails a day. This is not a company I would ever do business with just based off their shady email blasts. "
"I was switched over from Mississippi Music to this company without having an option. This has been the worst experience. My son has been in band for over 2+ years and there has never been an issue with payment, customer service, etc... But this company is horrible. The customer service representatives are horrible. After horrible service, they only give you their first name, and no last name or employee ID. The company took a lump sum from my account without notice. This has never happened. I have submitted the phone recording and also my payment history to Legal Shield. Additionally, the balance owing is different from the balance that I have with Mississippi Music (the original company I purchased my son's instrument from), which means I was charged additional charges from Music & Art without notification. I don't even know what the additional charges are.
To take a lump sum without notification because THE COMPANY made a mistake is unfair. Additionally, to have a completely different balance is unacceptable. I now understand why this company's rating is so low and have so many negative reviews. I I hope our school switches to a more reputable, fair company where these issues don't exist. "
"I had accumulated quite a credit over the years for a rental viola. I contacted Steven at the 22nd Street store and asked if he could help figure out a way to go from a rental viola to a purchased viola. Steven worked all the angles and checked with company policy to see if there was a way I could use my credit against The purchase of a larger viola. In a matter of a half hour, Steven put me into a 16.5 in viola which was perfect. Thank you for being so accommodating!"
"Apparently the only way you can pay your account is to have automatic payment set up. They have a website where it appears you can change your payment method but that doesn't work. It allows you to change your payment method but then it just keeps billing your old payment method because you didn't call customer service and talk to them to change the payment method. Had to issue with my account. I called in to make a one-time payment from my checking account and was told I would not be charged again automatically but they lied and charged my account automatically. Even though I have a different payment method set up online that was valid for them to use. They made my account negative. When I called customer service the lady refused to remove my checking account and said they would bill it if the other payment method didn't go through. I told her they're not authorized to bill that account and I want it removed. She said they will not remove the payment method and they will bill it again. She refused to let me talk to a manager. I'm ready to take this clarinet and shove it in their pie hole. Very upset about the horrible customer service. I had to call my bank and change my debit card number. Extremely inconvenient.

"Do not rent from them. I been on the phone with them so many times and the keep charging me for a rental I don’t have. Also they will not let me talk to a manager. HELP!! They told me it will be fixed and it never was. "
"Renters Beware- Keep all documents!!! Music and Arts will send you to collections before they send you a bill! I returned an instrument and 6 months later I got notification that I was sent to collections. Its taken me 2 months and its still not resolved even though I have documentation that shows the instrument was returned. Rent somewhere else!!!! Managers don't care

"Whatever you do, don't rent from this chain. We rented from Ken Stanton, they purchased KS (which we loved), and their billing and customer service department is literally the worst I've ever seen. Ever. No way to pay a bill on line. just pitiful.

"I placed an order for something that said "order now!" under availability. After not receiving any shipping info for a few days I called and was assured that it had shipped but they could not provide tracking. After a few weeks of not receiving tracking or the item I used their contact form stating that they either need to give me the shipping info or cancel the order. I never received a response.
Over 8 months later they are now trying to collect money from me for this item.
They are literally scammers. "
