"Music and Arts are thief. I bought insurance from them for Clarinet which was stolen and provided police reports. They forced me to pay $2100 for Clarinet which was stolen saying insurance don't cover stolen instruments - it has to be forced stolen i.e. somebody should harm you and get instrument from your hand - WTH. M&A insurance is scam so do customer service. M& A Customer service is with people with bad attitude - if you ask same information twice they start shouting on you. Beware of Music and Arts insurance and customer service. Try some other ethical business. "
"I was purchasing a tenor saxophone through the educator side of the website for my personal use. The local representative assured me this is fine. The website gave me a quote of a price and when I hit purchase the website charged me over $1000 more with no previous warning of the amount. Customer service was not able to resolve the issue. I canceled the order immediately and after 9 days still have not received the money back on my credit card, so that I cannot buy from a more reputable company. I will NEVER purchase anything for myself or my school through this site again."
"This has to be one of the worst customer experiences that I have EVER had. Their website lists items as "In stock ready to ship" when in fact they are on back order with not ship date known. Then when you call they are very rude and say they will send out in 7 or so days...that never happens. THEN when you call to cancel the order they "promise" it is canceled but cannot send a confirmation email or give a confirmation number. They say to call back the following day to be sure it was canceled...but then tell me it takes 48 hours to cancel the order, makes no sense. I would give this company less than one star if I could. I really don't understand how they are still in buisness."

"My daughter has been renting to own a French Horn from M&A for her first three years of college. Each year, we have gotten a notice asking if we wanted to pay for the year or by the month (which is about double). We did not get that notice and option this summer as she heads into her senior year of college. When we called, they had already charged us 2 months of monthly payments and the customer service rep. indicated that my daughter did not qualify for the pay at once plan because she is in college (despite the fact that they've given us this for the past 3 years). When my wife asked to speak to a supervisor, a supervisor called and left a message in which the supervisor contradicted himself several times. She called back to ask to speak to a supervisor again and was told that they already tried calling her once and they were not obligated to call again. They were rude and spoke over her. In the end, they wouldn't budge so we are returning the instrument (for which we had over $1000 equity in toward owning) and buying one elsewhere. While the people at the store level have always been good and accomodating, the corporate level is awful."

I was told I had $180 credit to apply towards purchasing but that credit is only good towards the suggested retail value of $430. They sell it in stores for $230. I paid $250 to rent it. Extreme waste of time and money. "

Then they won’t take any initiative to inform you of their intentions at all or ahead of time and even when there were no voice mails or missed calls from them apparently they think all they have to do to cover their **** is simply just say they tried to contact even though it’s a complete lie they base their reason for not doing the right thing.
