"I purchased an item on back order before I went on a business trip. I found out that I would not know when the order would be shipped so I tried to cancel it. 10 days later I was billed so I thought no big deal. I paid for 2 day air shipping so I assumed it would be back after my 11 day business trip. I was home on the 4th of Feb. No package and UPS had no information attached to the tracking number I was given. I contacted mydigitaldiscount.com and they told me the item shipped. The UPS statement said ground so right away I was either being scammed on shipping or someone made a mistake because right on my invoice I was charged for 2nd day air. I later was told that my item was lost and get a call from UPS that they made a claim for me. That was last week Monday. It is now a week later and I cannot get mydigitaldiscount to return my calls to their customer service number. They no longer reply to my emails and are just terrible to work with. Colleen was the woman handling my issue and was less than helpful other than returning my first email. I tried the chat on their site and that is never online. My issues were finally resolved and I was refunded my shipping on 2/18 as well as got my drive. "

"Do not buy from these people. My Digital Discount is a terrible operation reeking of an amateur con-artist making cash off of bad products and shipping insurance.
I just purchased a Hoda Technologies touch screen mod kit for my Asus Eee PC and was extremely disappointed. The product was received in a near perfect package and on time but once I opened the box I was greeted by a broken glass, a torn ribbon connection and several missing components. I contacted Douglas Hare, owner(?) of MDD, at ***-***-**** to discuss returning the product. I explained the situation to the "customer support" rep and that I was disappointed to have received a less than acceptable product. I simply demanded politely that an exchange take place as described in the returns policy. She puts me on hold and returns telling me it was a handling issue during shipment and that I would have to take the matter up with UPS... this time, I spoke gently and using less confusing descriptions for the products condition, as if I were explaining how to do something to my four year old in hopes she'd understand that parts were missing and the product was ruined. She repeated and eventually put me on hold and got Mr. Hare on the line. Not to my surprise it sounded as if he was in the next room. Mr. Hare presented himself as most small business owners would... a kind attempt to calm me and put himself on my level of pain to empathize. I explained the situation once again and before I could finish the man interrupted me insisting this was a shipping mishap and needed to be handled by UPS. I paused and collected myself. I reminded him that I am an intelligent being and that I am aware of what a shipping mishap looks like when it arrives with damaged contents. He insists that I am wrong and he is right. Fine, so we continued to spat insults and rude gestures until I finally heard him to say it: "Just (cussing) take it to UPS and reject the package, they will return it and I will file for the insurance... you'll get your money and I'll get mine and we'll never have to talk again."
Wait... he got his already. I sent him 109.89 two nights ago, right? At this point I told him I'd be in contact to resolve this and headed directly to UPS to report him for insurance fraud. Makes me wonder how many times has he sent this package out with the same contents and claimed it to be shipping mishap, collected insurance and got the package back. Easy money always catches up to you in the long run...

Interesting. So why did both the CS - Colliene, and Doug tell me that the contents are verified before shipping so it would have been impossible to have missing parts. If they opened the box there very well could have been parts missing, right? Secondly, not only is the glass broken but the ribbon connection was torn. In my years of experience in working with electronics I have never ever had a ribbon connection rip because it may have shifted around during transport. Lastly, I was told by Doug that the product had been discontinued and that I cannot get it replaced. Matt, if you want me to clear this nasty review and hopefully turn your business around you need to contact me to get this settled. I am expecting my product in good working condition with all parts included, next day air as I paid for and in my hands for install. "
"I ordered a compact battery charger for a Canon camera last year for a long photography workshop. It died within a few hours of use. I have sent e-mails to DigitalDiscount to get this remedied and got no reply whatsoever, the entire purchase was a complete waste of money. I will not buy from this company again."
"This place has gone seriously downhill. Back a few years ago, the processing was prompt and there was such a thing as customer support. Now, the last two orders got screwed up, increasingly worse. In December one got shipped to the wrong address. Now, an "in stock" item was shipped more than a week later, after I explicitly cancelled the order. In both cases, it was impossible to contact anyone at the company, and nobody bothered to "make things right".
Absolutely the last time I bought anything from them.

You were very quick to respond to my negative review here. That's lovely. Within 48 hours of your response, I emailed you as requested, not to hear back from you again - as expected. That was two weeks ago. Given that you apparently respond only to messages on this site, and also to shame you a bit further, I am posting here my entire email from February 4.
Let me sum it up:
- On May 21, 2009, I have asked you (at this same email address) about the power adapter that comes with the ND-2700. I never received a response. I called you twice at the phone number listed on your web site, and also submitted the question via the form on the web site. I never received a callback or a response. Not what I would call customer service.
- Google Checkout order 556107874461920, December 24, 2009. Goods were shipped to the wrong address - to one that's nowhere mentioned in the entire order. Shipped 12/29, promptly, but as I said - wrong address. This resulted in a week long delay before I got the ordered card. I have contacted you but got no response. The least I expected was an apology and refund of the shipping charges.
- Google Checkout order 445565689742855, January 18, 2010. I heard nothing back for a week. I cancelled the order on January 25, 2009, thought the Google Checkout cancellation mechanism. I felt that waiting a week for an "in stock" item was more than sufficient. Nevertheless, despite my order cancellation, the package shipped on January 27. At that point the card could be had $20 / piece cheaper on Amazon, but at this point I was sick and tired of dealing with refusing the package and dealing with you and the credit card company.
So, you asked what my issues were, and here you have it. Unlike you, I at least bothered to respond. Be well.

"I purchased a OCZ behemoth mousepad from this web site on December 8th. I emailed them twice asking about the shipment status and tracking number but never got a response. They finally shipped the order on the 21st (about 2 weeks later) with UPS ground which has a schedule delivery date of January 4th 2010!!! They stated on their website that the order would be shipped using USPS 1-3 days and the order usually ships out the next business day. I will never buy from them again!"
"EDIT: Runcore SSD 64gig for the asus t91 died under 2 months of use. attempting to get it returned...researching the problem online it seems the ssds have power failure problems.
EDIT: RMA- return number obtained. ssd sent back at my cost. no word on when a replacement will get shipped yet. will keep this review posted.
EDIT: replacement received. wrong cord to clone provided. called them they said they would ship me a new one overnight but they never did. so i ended up installing a new os on the new ssd and it seems to be working for the time being. keeping my fingers crossed."

I received no tracking emails or updates for a week so I called them and the customer service rep said that they did not have the part and were in the process of ordering it.
