"I was trying to locate a Ridata 512MB compact flash card. (They're the fastest around, check dpreview.com) I did a quick Google search and My Digital Discount was towards the top of the list. When I first saw the website for MDD, I laughed and quickly moved on. It just looked like some type of homemade scam.
However, after further searching they seemed to be one of the few places that carried what I wanted. I logged onto Reseller Ratings and was surprised to see they were rated so well.
I went back to to site and made my purchase. The poor layout of the site became more apparent as I made my purchase. The order forms are pop-up windows that lack basic toolbar buttons and status bars, making it difficult to print copies and verify that the order is being done over a secure connection. I hope they recognize this as a problem. (Note: you can right-click the background and go to properties to verify that the connection is secure. It is)
Depspite my issues with the website, it was a pleasant experience overall. My package has arrived and I am very pleased. The price was the lowest I could find, it arrived in less than 48 hours, and the shipping was free.

"I purchased an X-Drive with 40 GB HD for downloading digital images from a CF card. The instructions from X-Drive were very poor. I knew I had to format and partition the HD, my OS is XP. When I formatted the HD, XP used NTFS partitioning. The X-Drive would not download files between the CF and HD.
Matt Dawson was very helpful, he told me that the X-Drive had to be partitioned in FAT32. I tried many different ways to reformat the HD, but XP would not repartition NTFS to FAT32.
Matt and I communicated everyday trying to get the X-Drive to work. I was going on vacation in three days and needed the X-Drive to store photos.
Matt told me he would format/partition (FAT32) a new 40 GB drive (he also tested it prior to sending) and send it Fedex next day. I received the HD today, replaced my drive (with the new HD) and the X-Drive worked perfectly.
This type of service is unheard of with most companies. MyDigitalDiscount is a one of a kind company, with customer service as their #1 goal.
I'm sold on their personal approach, and I will continue to buy their products.
