"Excellent Service
Items shipped very fast. I only wish that the specific store had more items !!! I would definitely buy again without hesitation !!!"
"What a great outfit.
They are helping me with a defective prouduct that I purchased from someone else.
The President contacted me when he heard that I had a problem in a forum.
So I called him and talked to him for 47 min. Only about 3 min on the problem of defective compact flash cards. The rest was general talk.
Ordered some stuff from him while I was at it.
Matt Dawson is a very good buisness man and will go far.
One thing that I liked about his website.
Tele and fax numbers, and address is listed.
I will deal with Matt as much as I can."
"Seller was willing to make special shipping accommodations and allow me to avoid the eBay hassles for obtaining his product directly. Much appreciated."
"Excellent! Best price, fastest (free) shipping and emailed the tracking (was here before I could track even). "
"Ordered a 512MB Transcend Compact Flash card. Easy Easy Easy transaction. Card arrived the next day. Great Service !!!!!!!!!"
"I ordered a CF card from them, and besides saving me a lot of money (Spain is very expensive), it got home only 2 DAYS after they sent it!!!. Add to this a great customer support and that's what you get. A company that's a pleasure to do bussiness with. From a very satisfied customer, thank you."
"This is the third order I have placed with this company. They are very fast at filling orders. You can track the orders on fed-ex to check progress. The previous two orders took longer to get from my local Portland area hub to my home five miles away, than it took to get from New York to Portland. The products are excellent quality and price. I had no idea there was such a difference in Compact Flash quality."
"I received the item (nex II mp3 player) very promptly and was upgraded to a better compact flash do to the one that I ordered was not in stock."
"i ordered an ibm 1gig hd from this company tre afternoon of friday 11-15. it arrived on monday 11-18. the price was very competitive, they answered all my questions, and i received perfect service. 9.75 is excellent, but this company is definitely under rated. they are truly a "10". thanks matt!"
"Impressed. I ordered from regional Australia on Wednesday morning 13-11-2002 and received my mp3 player Monday morning 18-11 (may have got it earlier as I had it delivered to my work). The fedex tracking was great also. As this was my first international online order I couldn't be happier. Thanks Matt. I was about to buy a 32mb Diva player on E-bay then I found your site and I was able to get the 64mb player for cheaper (including postage)!! I will be recommending you to my friends. Diva player is great, exceeded all expectations.. just have to buy a Compact Flash card of you now so I hold more songs..... Thanks
Brendan"
"Can't believe it! Ordered the chips on the evening (after hours)of the Nov 13th...received on the Nov 15th. Fantastic service Matt. Appreciate an
internet company that delivers. I wish you had more products!...Now, if only I could get the camera I ordered these for! ;-)
"
"First "flawless" online purchase ever (i.e. (that is) available as advertised, shipped, and received next day via FedEx (free SH, qouted 2-3 days delivery)). Been purchasing 4-5 yrs online and avg. 3-6K US$/yr. This is my first purchase with "MyDigitalDiscount.com" but look forward to continued excellence in purchases and support. "
"Great service. I ordered a Ritek compact flash card on November 11th and it was here when I got home from work today on the 13th. I would order from them again with no hesitation."
"Send the next day, received 2 days after. I called to correct my address, they reply politely and were clever enough to ask me in what colour I wanted my product.
Perfect in everyway"
"MyDigitalDiscount.com (MDD) was recommended in a forum on www.dpreview.com. I checked the web site, found a Transcend 512MB compact flash card for a good price, including overnight shipping.
I ordered the card on a Tuesday, and the package arrived Wednesday by FedEx. However, it was a Ridata card. The enclosed invoice and the email confirmation both showed that I had ordered the Transcend card. That evening I emailed MDD about the mixup and asked how to proceed.
On Thursday I received a short reply to send the card back for replacement. No return address or other shipping information was included. Since this was not my fault, I was expecting MDD to make this good. A little after noon that same day I sent another message to MDD asking how it was to be shipped.
On Friday, I received a two-sentence response to return the card by first-class mail. At that point, I didn't want to spend any more time fiddling with a mistake that was not mine. I sent a message back describing my disatisfaction with the mixup and the fact that email communication was proceeding at a snail's pace. I informed MDD that I would be returning the card sent to me by mistake, and requested a refund for my order.
That got a quick reply with several excuses. He gets a lot of email over the weekend, and it takes until Wednesday to catch up. Right. That's why my Thursday email didn't get a response until Friday.
"99.99999%" of online retailers have you return items through USPS mail. Um, no, you ship the correct order, and you include an envelope with postage for returning the incorrect item.
He wanted to know what he could do short of a refund. I said that he should charge my credit card for another order and send it overnight. I would return the Ridata card through first-class mail as he suggested. He could credit my credit card when the Ridata card was received. He responded with another short message, including those magic words "OK, [my name] we will ship it today."
I then found a suitable package, printed the original email confirmation and a brief message, drove to the post office and mailed the package with delivery notification. By 2:00pm on Friday I had emailed MDD to let them know the order was in the mail, and I included the delivery confirmation number.
Monday rolls around, and surprise, surprise, no compact card. After FedEx delivered packages Tuesday morning and still no package, I emailed MDD to let them know I had not received the package, and I asked for a tracking number so that I could see where it was. I received a two-sentence reply, "It was shipped USPS Priority mail. You should have it today or tomorrow."
Wednesday arrives, but the package does not. After the mail arrived on Thursday and was distributed, I sent MDD a message, again, that no package had arrived. The response? The package was mailed on Tuesday to my billing address.
The email confirmation I printed and sent with the returned card included my shipping address. It was the same information I had entered on the web site. It said SHIPPING INFORMATION. How can you miss that?
When I arrived home that evening, the compact flash card was in the mail. Yes, I believe in miracles.
What can we learn from this? MDD does not provide customer service. If they goof up, the customer has to pay for it, in more ways than one.
I was lied to when I was told the replacement would be shipped overnight.
I was lied to when I was told on Tuesday that I would receive the replacement that day or the next, because the card was mailed that Tuesday, as admitted to by MDD in a later email. It's even worse. The USPS web site shows that the returned Ridata card was delivered to MDD Monday morning around 11:30am. I'm guessing that it was only after I sent email on Tuesday that they decided to mail the correct card.
After a week and a half of hassle and lies, I finally received the correct card that I had originally ordered overnight. I will never buy from that site, again, and I will be sure to share my experience.
Oh, yes, MDD is very sorry that this happened."
