"Sold me a defective shirt, okay, it happens. Washed the first time and the stiffener material inside the collar came apart, bunched up. Obviously defective manufacturing. MyPilotStore refused to refund or exchange because the shirt had been washed (against "policy'). Fine. Not My Pilot Store anymore ...

UPDATE: Upon further review (and a not-so-subtle email nudge from me), they've decided to replace my shirt. So, good on 'em for that ...

"I ordered two Checkmate checklists from them. I am stationed overseas and there was no option to select USPS Priority for an APO. I put my requirement in the Notes section of the order, which they obviously ignored, and the manager said I should have called them to place the order with my specific shipping requirements. 4 months, 4 phone calls, and many emails later, I still have no checklists. Their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. Then after I called one last time, they said they'd investigate it and I get, what they claimed to be, a "automated" email from them that my order was returned back to them and they would refund my money. I would hate to think that they actually did receive my order back and weren't going to refund my money without me complaining, AGAIN, but that's what it sounds like to me.

I'd rate them zero stars, if I could.

"I give mypilotstore no stars. I don't usually review a company unless it's for great cust serv. This case is an exception. Without boring you. Faulty product, no return, charged to both send & and return replacement. promises broken. They don't even make the shirts! Asked for compensation to have shirts fixed. Told me someone elses fault. No accountability. Find another store. No customer service. "

"This was my first time purchasing/ordering from MyPilotStore.com. I used their website to locate the item and place the order. The process was easy, quick, and painless. However, the item was a jacket. Per the instructions on their site, I ordered my usual suite jacket size. This would okay if you wanted a leather bomber type jacket to fit exactly like a suit jacket with no room for a heavier shirt or sweater underneath. Thus, I contacted customer service again following their explicit instructions posted both on their website and on my order. As it was close to Christmas, I gave them the benefit of doubt and believed they were busy with Christmas orders. I ordered the replacement and patiently waited for the return authorization. I finally got one after 4 emails, 2 phone calls, and 4 business days attempting to contact with mypilotstore.com customer service. I had to pay return shipping - and due to the tracking number, I knew exactly when they received the item - less than 1 week from when I received it. It was another MONTH ( after they received the returned jacket with the proper authorization and paperwork), over 20 emails, numerous phone calls, and one actual real letter before a credit was issued to my credit card. And mypilotstore .com didn't even refund the full amount claiming they had costs due to the return which in fact was actually an exchange. (The second one was just as easy and painless to order and arrived extremely fast with regular shipping. And I would never have had to make an exchange if they had actually taken the time to test the fit of the jacket and informed people on the jacket webpage to order a size up if you want to wear anything other than a dress shirt underneath. ) Also, I requested the transaction number for the return several times and I never received it period. I never did get a full credit - but they wasted no time in charging me for the second /replacement jacket.

Only order if you will not have to make a return. They just don't care about customer service. I really can't believe they are still in business - seems like they don't need or want very many customers.

"I've purchased many items at Mypilotstore.com over the past 2 years. I continue to be impressed with their service time and time again. I'm able to call them on the phone if I have any questions prior to ordering. I also do my own homework by researching other websites and the product itself. I'm usually able to pick it up by the next day. The products have been absolutely perfect. The service is always friendly and professional. Yesterday is the first time I've had to return something, and it was as easy as can be. Note: I returned it because I didn't need it, not because anything was wrong with it. I know many pilots and flight students who use them and I have never heard of any complaints. The reviews on here are very surprising. (I often notice online that many people don't take time to write about their positive experiences. No company is perfect, and so there will always be some unhappy customers. If you use this company and have a good experience, please take time to write a good review. That goes for any company!)

"This is a terrible company that will not deliver your product by the desired date despite the clearly displayed "guarantee" on the order confirmation.

"Ordered 3 grease pencils on 8/21/13 and paid $15.80 for expedited 2 Day Air shipping. Order did not ship until 8/23/13. Because they sat on the order for 48 hrs before shipping, I did not get it any faster than if I had paid a much lower rate.

If your item is needed in a hurry, do NOT depend on this company.

"This store sucks.
They do not reply to email. When I asked for a refund for an item returned to them, they did not reply my email. Finally had to contact CC company to dispute the charge. And then someone called and spoke rudely to me for contesting the charge.
I would have never contested if they had replied to my emails.
I run a business, and I know such behavior with customers mean only one thing. This business is stressed, and is probably closing soon.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Horrible customer service! Incredibly rude and unintelligent service reps.

Ordered two t-shirts for my pilot husband, one of which was pictured as a medium-dark grey shirt with the color listed as "Ash." In the mail I received the LIGHTEST heather grey shirt I have ever seen and it looks incredibly cheap compared to what is pictured.

Called customer service who said that yes, the shirt is in fact supposed to be that light and that my screen's resolution must be off. Also argued with me that the color "ash" is actually very light, almost white, and that my being misinformed was not their fault.

He refused to pay shipping to return an item that was FALSELY ADVERTISED. When I asked him to put me on the phone with someone else, he sighed loudly and said "JESUS CHRIST!" and put me on the phone with a woman who proceeded to argue with me in the same fashion.

We will NEVER buy from awful company again. Deeply regret not checking reviews on them first before wasting my money on their garbage.

"I ordered a GoPro camera and Video Audio Adapter in September - just prior to leaving for a vacation to remember. I wanted to record my Cessna flight. The camera arrived BUT their ad stated that it was a complete system (ready to go). However they failed to mention that I would need to buy an extra GoPro case (that they didn't sell) in order to make the Audio adapter work. I was out of time so I asked them to send me an additional case to replace the one I would have to destroy to make my system work. They said there was nothing they could do (except correct the mistake on their website). I even wrote a review but it was never posted on the website (imagine that). Customer (non) service was polite but LAME. No help at all. I'll be sure NOT to shop there in the future. Not smart on their part ... over a $25 item (in regard to a $500. sale). "

"I ordered a Flightcom 4DX headset from mypilotstore and received poor customer service when the product arrived defective. I'm familiar with the product having owned another Flightcom 4DX since 2000 (and it keeps chugging along great). However, my recent purchase of a new Flightcom 4DX from mypilotstore was disappointing. First, they split my order so that I received the items in two separate shipments. I wasn't informed that they were out-of-stock on one of the items until the other items shipped. I would have ordered directly from Flightcom or elsewhere had I known mypilotstore was out-of-stock. It took an extra two weeks for the backordered item to arrive. Wonderful... because now instead of being able to use the items, I was overseas for two weeks in Bangkok and Sydney for company business.

This past Saturday I flew the first time since receiving all said items and it had been 42 days since my order was placed. Just my luck - the brand new Flightcom 4DX headset had a defective microphone. We tried everything... we turned the squelch all the way down, we tried it in different jacks, and we tried it alongside my other Flightcom 4DX headset. It was obvious that the new headset was a lemon right out of the box. Hey, it happens and I can understand that defective products will slip through the cracks from time to time.

What was surprising, however, was mypilotstore's poor customer service. They simply didn't give a darn. To hell with the fact that they split my order and delayed me. To heck with the fact that I work for Delta. To heck with the fact that I was overseas for two weeks and wasn't able to try this headset until I went flying for the first time just 48 hours ago. To heck with the fact that I had all original packaging, instruction manuals, and hadn't even opened the ear covers. To heck with the fact that I wanted a replacement, NOT a refund. No, mypilotstore didn't care and they weren't going to make it right for me. They were going to pass me down the chain and make me deal with the manufacturer directly for a warranty claim.

No problem. I was at the post office anyway and I could send the package anywhere. But leaning against a "30 day return policy" and management not having the appropriate discretion to acknowledge that they should step in to help their customers out is poor customer service. Why should I ever buy a headset from them ever again? Mypilotstore will take your buck and then pass the buck. I gave them an opportunity to step in, I told them that declining would result in a negative review, and so here it is.

Buyer be warned.
