"The drive bay worked Perfect! I'm currently using it as my main drive because the Notebooks main drive cable broke long time ago so i ordered this drive bay and it worked out perfect. yes i could have ordered just a cable but now i have the option to use 2 ssd or hdd im using a ssd for now."

1. the caddy - fits nicely (slight gap visible at the bottom, the colour doesn't match 100% but it is acceptable, the signal light too big as compared with this computer model's miniature lights). Installation is so simple (even your boss could do it himself). Works perfectly. However, I had one particular problem:
I bought 8460p with 320 GB HDD. I upgraded it by cloning to 750 GB. Now, I inserted 320 into the caddy and was planning to format it BUT it booted from itself (the caddy-placed 320 HDD, rather than from 750 one that is in main No 1 position). Upon booting it turned my 750 drive to RAW format, thus unusable unless re-formated. Fortunately I had most of my docs backup-ed, so I didn't bother rescuing data from the "lost drive". However I lost all of my mails and contacts (as this option was OFF during backup).
2. External enclosure and the USB3 connector - Very good for the price. You get useful DVD burner for peanuts. It doesn't look fancy though but it's appropriate.

Delivery - it came to my door, in godforsaken Bosnia, within fortnight and NO TAX paid! Just great. Tracking number was fine to follow the whereabouts of the parcel at all times!

I would recommend this to a friend (and would warn him/her not to insert bootable disk into it - the procedure should be to connect it externally first, using supplied USB3 connector, then format it, then install - too late for me)"

"Caddy for HP 8460p fit perfectly. I also bought the custom rubber case for the DVD & the eSATA/USB combo cable so that I could access DVD via eSATA/USB combo port on HP. Unfortnately, while it works, I was disappointed to find that cable cannot fit snugly and securely with rubber case wrapped around on DVD. I also purchased the rubber case for a 2.5 disk, which exhibits same problem. I resolved both by simply using an X-Acto knife to expand cutout to fit. "
