"I ordered an USB Cradle and was sent the usb cradle operating instructions. I called to explain that I wanted the usb cradle and was told that I could return it and that I would be refunded the full amount excluding the tax and shipping.

"This was my first purchase from partstore.com. I must admit I was somewhat hesitant to order from this store based on the past ratings, but they were the only store that had the exact charger needed for my Panasonic portable phone handset. The price was very reasonable as well.
I ordered the part and received notice within 2 days that the part was back-ordered, but assured the part was on order and my card was not charged (Which I confirmed). Within a week the part was in and I received immediate notice of shipping with tracking info.
I received the charger in 3 days from the date of notification. The charger looks as good as the original factory unit. It is working great and I am pleased with how partstore.com handled the order. "I needed a battery for my Polaroid PDM-2727 DVD player. I found the BT-51 battery on their site for a good price, but the recommended a less expensive after-market battery that was supposed to be identical. I said that would be fine. I needed it before I went on a long trip, so I had it sent 2-day FedEx at a cost of about $20. They could not guarantee when the part would leave their warehouse, but only the 2-days FedEx would take to get it to me. This was weird, but I figured an acceptable risk.
The battery arrived in about 2-days, however, the battery they sent me did not match with my unit. Their compatability information was incorrect.
When I called to have them correct the situation, they were very reluctant to help. They will pay return shipping, and refund my money, but they will not refund the extra $20 I paid for faster shipping. On top of that, the would not pay to ship the correct part any faster than ground shipping. When pushed further, they said they don't even have the correct part in their warehouse, and it would not ship for at least 3 weeks!!
I am returning my full order to them for a refund, but I will lose the $20 shipping I paid on it. Plus I do not have the parts I need and have to go looking for it again.
I will NEVER use this company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. STAY AWAY!"
"I purchased a battery and charger for an upcoming trip - both were listed as in stock. I received the battery but the charger was promised to ship the next week. On the day I was to receive the charger I received an email saying it was backordered and should ship six weeks later! (Four weeks after my trip) The email also said that I would not be charged until it was shipped but when I called to cancel I was told that I was charged and it would take two billing cycles to credit my account! BAD BUSINESS"
"I have to tell you I am very disappointed with the service "partstore.com"
provided. I placed my order on 1/4/2006 and waited three days as
my order sat in "processing" status. On 1/7/2006 I received an email
that my order has shipped and a tracking number was provided.
However, when I checked the tracking number online the
tracking number was "not found". I gave it a day and checked again,
still I received the message "not found". At this point, 1/8/2006, I
placed a call to "partstore.com" to find out if there was something wrong. They
checked the status online and then mentioned they had to call the carrier to
investigate further. The carrier replied the tracking number was not found and that
they had no such tracking number in the system. The attendant at "partstore.com"
said they will have to check with the shipping department to see what happened. I
asked the attendant if they could overnight the order due to the long wait of 5 days
to process and ship it. The attendant said they would note that on the account.
After placing my order 5 days ago, I find out my order shipped, regular
ground. It will be here in 5-7 days. The order turn around time is deplorable.
I do not see why a customer would stay a customer of "partstore.com" based
on my experience. Nothing was done by "partstore.com" to make up for the lack
of customer service. I am very dissatisfied with this store and caution others.

"Terrible customer service! Wanted silverware basket to fit in the door of my dishwasher, ordered "door, silverware basket". Received a panel for the silverware basket. When I complained about the description on their site I got attitude. Even the supervisor gave me attitude! Would not do anything since the problem was my fault (supervisor actually got snippy and said it was totally my fault and they take no responsibility since it clearly indicates that it is a door for a silverware basket.) They also insist that I should have called since I obviously was having problems and that because I ordered over the internet it was my mistake and not their problem. I am out nearly $20 in shipping and their price wasn't good enough to cover that sort of added cost. Avoid doing business with this company! "
"BUYER BEWARE!! Partstore sent me the wrong part for my washing machine. Their technician recommended advanced diagnostics of the rest of the washer (which is how I discovered it was the wrong part), pushing us past their deadline for returns. Now, they will not stand behind their error and refuse to refund us for sending the wrong part. Customer “service” people were rude and unprofessional. Very difficult to find corporate offices – kind of shady, in my opinion."
"My first order was for two sets of four replacement screws for two Sharp LCD TVs, used to mount the stand on the back. A Google search led me to PartStore.com, and I placed an order for Qty 2 of "Screw, x4". After a short backorder, they shipped just two screws (not two sets of four, as the description suggests).
My email asking for a correction went unanswered, so I called their toll-free number this evening.
"Shawn" was courteous, but after 20 min of polite discussion, his supervisor would only credit shipping on the additional six screws to bring my total to eight. Considering their shipping charge was more than 60% of my original order, I paid for the additional six screws, bringing my total expenditure to $19.52. For eight screws.
Shawn admitted that the description was misleading, and said they would edit it to avoid future confusion.
If the remaining screws arrive without incident, I'll be marginally satisfied, but they won't get my repeat business."

it's 2 weeks after that now, they have not removed the item from their web site, and my order still shows a status of "Processing" which means my card may still be charged.

Not very professional, if you ask me.

Simply canceling my order, or responding to an email would fix this for me, but removing a known unavailable item from their web site would be professional."
"lol nobody rated this store. I needed a part for my old 8mm sharp camcorder to display video onto a TV. First, I called tritronics and they sent me a video cable, which I never asked for. I asked for return instructions, and they I never received it. Anyways, I did a google search of my almost-impossible to find camcoreder part, and partstore.com was the first search result. And guess what, I found it. It even has the tape mechanism parts, and possibly every part so that you can even build a camcorder yourself! lol So anyways, shipping was a little slow, but hey, I got my part and now I can save my precious memories. (a guy named kevin picked up) was very friendly and helpful, I called because there wasn't even a description or a picture of the part I was buying, I was suspicious. I had to take chances, so I did and it was a good one. Overall, excellent store!"
